We had a great stay and honestly can't fault a thing.

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. It's in a great location too – close to everything but still nice and quiet. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable place to stay. Would love to come back!

Ocean Blue is a lovely clean and well equipped property in a fantastic location.

Porthtowan is a great little spot and has everything that you could want. The real bonus of this property is that it’s basically right on the beach and has its own private parking spot which is a real bonus.

Fabulous Stay – Highly Recommend!

The facilities were exactly as described – everything you could possibly need was provided, making it incredibly comfortable and convenient. The location was great, with a beautiful sea view that we never got tired of. Communication with the owner was excellent – responsive, friendly, and helpful. We’re already missing the place and would happily return.

This was a very well equipped,clean and comfortable apartment that completely fulfilled my needs .

Convenient for everything in the village and the beach.It will be even better when the balcony renovations are completed.I look forward to further visits this year.

We understood the advice about the current state of the balcony, but it presented no issue at all for us. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location.

Minutes walk from the beach, which is great for families with surfing lessons available. The cottage has everything you need and is extremely comfortable.

We were lucky to find this apartment after our holiday to Porthtowan was cancelled due to a leak.

We had the best time in this lovely apartment - literally a home from home! Both balcony areas were sun traps at various times of the day, such a short stroll to the beach, ideal for children. Dry storage for beach items outside, bath and separate shower - and a tumble! We will be coming back next year! The apartment was the cleanest I have ever stayed in (we moved to a different apartment for week 2 and it was no way near as clean!) Thank you for a fabulous stay and see you next year!

Balcony needs some attention but believe it is due yo be replaced soon. Nice welcome gifts and enjoyed our stay. Would return.

Been coming to Porthtowan for years and this is one of the best properties we have stayed in.

We will be recommending to our family and friends very clean and well equipped and well positioned. Had one minor query whilst at the property which was sorted immediately with no problem whatsoever by the owner. Had a wonderful stay.

The accommodation is ideally situated close to all of the amenities, restaurants, coastal paths and within minutes of Porthtowan’s stunning beach. We had a very comfortable stay and the property was spotless and well appointed with everything you could need. The welcome gift was a lovely added touch too! We would certainly recommend Ocean Blue. We LOVED our stay here!

We travelled as a couple with our two young children. The apartment was a perfect size for us, the beds were comfortable, and we had everything we needed. The location was amazing - 2 minutes walk to the beach, a playground just outside (which the kids loved) and 2 great restaurants / pubs. The village has all you need for a holiday - a little shop, fish and chips, a souvenir shop and surf lessons. Plus, the sunset is incredible. We did lots of walking from straight outside - bring walking boots. I would HIGHLY recommend it here!

Apartment was really clean, well equipped and in a perfect location for us to enjoy a family holiday with 2 children.

We had a fabulous week being so close to a gorgeous beach with huge rock pools to play in at low tide and great facilities nearby - we enjoyed the play park and Unicorn beer garden every evening. We visited a few other beaches/places a short drive away (Portreath beach, St Agnes, Chapel Porth, Falmouth for shopping and Padstow). All worth a visit and so many other places close by to choose from we wish we could have stayed in the apartment longer and can’t wait to come to Cornwall again!

This holiday apartment is a must for your next holiday to Cornwall!

Booking through the website was simple. We received contact from the owner in advance with details. On arrival we accessed the property and found it to be well furnished, clean , tidy and presented with well thought out decor. There was the welcome sight, after a long journey to get there, of fresh flowers, tea , coffee, scones, jam, clotted cream, fudge, and other essentials (washing up liquid, soap, towels, shampoo, shower gel etc.). There was milk in the fridge. Welcome book included instructions for equipment in the apartment, leaflets for local attractions, and maps. The bathroom is a good size with seperate bath and shower. The kids were captivated by the in built tv / mirror in the bathroom. The small balcony overlooks the playground and local pub, and you can see the sea to the left… which is lovely to watch the sun set whilst the waves crash. The beach is a 2 minute walk away. There is a Fish and Chip shop also down the road (note it does only sell Fish and Chips… Cod Haddock and nothing else) The village itself is small it that’s what you want on a holiday like this. There is a cafe and ice cream shop nearby. The Victory Inn pub is a short drive away but worth it. A very nice holiday location.

very nice premises ,clean and tidy ,the sofa was not very comfortable,we were concerned about the saftey of the balcony as it seemed unstable under foot .

Over priced .

Very nice apartment but I felt it was a bit small for 3 of us and as such thought it was a bit overpriced.

We enjoyed our stay and the apartment was lovely, the location was fantastic.

the only thing we struggled with was the shower, it had way to much power and also there was no way to fix the shower head to stay in one position as it was quite loose. The excessive water pressure caused the shower head to move constantly making it very difficult to use. other than that it was a brilliant place to stay.

In light of having to cancel previously we have nothing but praise for the efficiency of Sykes. Ocean Blue was perfect. The location next to an inn and playpark and closeness to the sea was great. Only issue would be to suggest that a hair dryer be available to use please.

Absolutely fantastic apartment, location, beach and people.

We had a wonderful time! Only down side is that we looked to book again next year and prices have gone up by £650 a week and at £260 a night a family of four like us are completely priced out, what a shame!

Very well designed apartment, small but had everything we needed (only thing missing would be a dishwasher but we can survive without!

). Very well equipped kitchen with plastic items for the beach which was much appreciated. Noisy building work downstairs but understandably that is outside of your control. Great location for a family with young children.

I emailed twice to complain about the disruptive renovations taking place in the flatt below.

All manner of power drills. Could not call as no signal in Town. Only holiday in three years was ruined. Builders even knocked on door seeking access to balcony to make it safe. Can't believe it wasn't easy to get hold of you on Monday when it all started. I will be lodging an official complaint soon.

Cleanliness of the apartment was exceptional , we had no worries re Covid.

Great location, lovely beach only 2 minutes walk from the apartment.

Porthtowan is quiet though gas all you are likely to need in terms of essentials, and you can see that the locals look after the place. If you need more extensive shopping options, Redruth and Camborne are 15 - 20 minutes drive. Apartment itself is well presented and very well equipped. Milk, tea, coffee, fruit juice at fudge on arrival were nice touches.

Had a brilliant stay, really enjoyed it would definitely stay again ☺️ The only negative was the sofa it was too soft for me and hurt my back.

Flat is in a great position for great, access to the beach and drives to other parts of Cornwall.

Flat is very well-furnished with everything we needed. Steps are quite steep for anyone with mobility problems.

I was disappointed when I first saw the row of apartments but once inside the disappointment disappeared.

This is a great beach apartment, so close to everything in Porthtowan.

It was lovely and clean when we arrived. The kids can play on the playground just outside where you can see them and the food at the Porthtowan Beach cafe is amazing. One thing that was a bit frustrating was that the hot water only comes on for two hours in the morning and the evening. If you’ve all been in the sea, there is not enough water in the middle of the afternoon for 4 of you to have a shower. The tv in the bathroom looks great but we couldn’t figure out how to turn it on or find a remote for it anywhere?

Lovely location, very sweet apartment but pretty dated and quite small for two teenagers and two adults would look for something a bit larger next time perhaps.

Lovely view from balcony but again very small and we were a bit disappointed we weren’t permitted to have a bbq on it (although it’d have been very tight!) so we were watching the people below having theirs every night instead

Just returned from a lovely stay at Ocean Blue in Porthtowan, beautiful location and lovely views from the apartment.

The apartment is well equipped and is home from home, the cream tea on arrival was welcomed! The only thing that let’s it down is the garden of the one below, but that let’s all of the apartments down and is out of the owners control. It is well placed to travel around Cornwall and would definitely stay here again.

Location to the amazing beach was fabulous, we didn't want to come home.

This holiday was in my top three of all time, all of our Sykes holidays have been of a very high standard.

The accommodation would be even better with a dishwasher installed.

One person left a review stating that there was a dishwasher in the accommodation. I did not use the shower as the water overflowed and was all over the bathroom floor. The picture of the property portrayed the balcony as being larger than it was. It was lovely to sit on the balcony and watch the world go by! The flat under "Ocean Blue" has a very unkempt garden which does distract from the property. Possibly a word to the owner of that accommodation could be made to tidy up the garden. We had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable time at "Ocean Blue".

Fantastic location for the beautiful beach and for exploring Cornwall' not too far from anywhere.

The apartment building is shabby from the outside but all worries disappeared the minute we opened the apartment door. Beautiful, clean and comfortable, it was all that we could have wanted. Thank you

great position next to beach good for families or couples few steps up to top floor you do need a car beds comfy great bathroom all you need in kitchen would definitely stay here again reel handy for exploring cornwall

Splendid beach.

The apartment was spotlessly clean with all modern facilities - washing machine, drier, dish washer, iron, high chair, fridge, freezer, TV, video and splendid views. Quiet. Parking for one car, and a car is a must.
