The property

Liskeard 3 miles.

Lakeview Villa is a detached house close to Liskeard in Cornwall, offering a welcoming retreat for families or friends who want to stay within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park, with the added benefit of a shared tennis court and a nearby river.

After pulling up at the property, you step out into the soft rise of the surrounding grounds and follow the pathway to the entrance, taking in the historic atmosphere of the estate where old bridges and long‑established woodland reflect the age of the manor that once shaped this landscape.

Inside, the hallway guides you through the ground floor where a double bedroom invites you to put down your bags, the twin room offers a relaxing space for guests to settle in and the family bathroom is ready for evenings spent unwinding in the bath after days out exploring.

The kitchen allows you to place your groceries on the counter and plan mealtimes with ease, while the dining room next door sets the scene for shared dishes and long conversations.

The staircase leads to the first floor where the sitting room offers a bright place to rest, with a door opening onto the balcony so you can step outside for fresh air and gentle sounds from the grounds, and the king size bedroom on this level includes its own en‑suite, giving guests a private place to begin and end each day.

Outdoors, the garden offers an inviting spot to sit in the sunshine and the wider estate encourages slow wanders along its footpaths; those who already hold a fishing licence can spend quiet moments by the lake casting a line for coarse fish as the water settles around them, before continuing towards the bluebell woods or strolling beside the unfenced river.

The shared tennis court offers a more energetic activity, and a shop and pub lie a short drive away for daily needs.

Exploring the area is simple, with Looe close by for harbour walks, small shops and time by the shore, Bodmin offering heritage railway journeys, moorland routes and the dramatic gaol, and Dartmoor National Park less than an hour away with its tors, wooded trails and wide expanses where ponies often graze.

Lakeview Villa provides a stay shaped by its historic surroundings, thoughtful interiors and the varied landscapes of Cornwall waiting to be discovered.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £350.
