“The location and the garden were fantastic and we greatly enjoyed all the local walks.”
The newly refurbished master bathroom was luxurious and the living room worked well. The laundry facilities were very good. The garden itself was dog and child friendly and beautiful when the sun shone!
Other areas of the house badly need some TLC: the dishwasher broke on day 1 and couldn’t be fixed; blunt and broken knives, fridge freezer on its last legs with not a single door rack left, no ice trays (we ended up buying our own) etc. There was very little garden furniture - a couple of upright chairs and a picnic table but that was it. The windows are very rickety and when the wind blows they rattle and the wind whines so loudly as to wake the whole family, the window wedges in many rooms had long since vanished leaving us to buy our own from a local hardware store! The house also needs a deep clean - the windows were filthy for example, lots of cobwebs around and the oven was really grubby.
Overall - and all that said - we had a great holiday and would consider returning but with a bit of investment, this house could be amazing.

As you mentioned in your review, the dishwasher unfortunately broke during your stay. Our property maintenance team were highlighted to this issue on day three of your stay via e-mail and attended Thursday morning after agreeing this with you. Following the fault raising it’s head again, we have now ordered a new dishwasher. We thank you for bearing with us on this matter and apologise again for the disruption caused.
