“We loved this house, we loved our stay.”

The house and decor is modern & luxurious plus it’s walking distance to the beach. The house and decor is modern & luxurious plus it’s walking distance to the beach. The garden has beautiful views of the farm land and the sea .. we loved laying in the hammocks in the afternoons. We took our dog who loved the house too as they provide doggy blankets and water bowls, they had dog retractable gates across the stairs to stop your dog going upstairs which is very useful as it’s an open plan house (we bring our own gates to stop him from going into certain areas of house),they had put throws on the sofa in readiness for our dog which is a nice touch. Wi-Fi is excellent. Overall property was clean, however there was a couple of areas that needs attention especially at this price bracket: planters in the front of house and in the back garden had a lot cigarette ends on the soil (property apparently non smoking) that’s not nice to see, glasses in kitchen were greasy/dirty. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding is of high thread count luxury and we slept well. Housekeeping did contact us to ask if we would like fresh bedding and towels at the end of our first week which was great. The bath tub in main bedroom has a shower tap which is broken/leaks, dressing table is in need of attention. We rented this property for two weeks and only once did someone turn up to check the hot tub. We own a hot tub and they need regular chemical balancing especially when being used a lot .. it put us off using it as much as the water got dirty fast.. you need to address this when letting the property for more than a few days the hot tub should be checked at least twice a week. The house guide book needs a bit more info in it ie.. when is recycling? How to maintain hot tub if the owners only going to check it once a week ( for longer lets). Despite the few niggles we loved the house it just needs more attention to detail especially for longer lets. We would stay here again in a heart beat they just need to address a couple of things.

About the location

SENNEN

Land’s End 1 mile; St Just 5 miles; Penzance 9 miles.

The most westerly village in mainland Britain, Sennen has a lovely mile-long beach of pure white sand and is a very popular holiday destination. With excellent surfing conditions, the village has its own surf school – overlooked by a super-cool beach bar/restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows which make the most of the wonderful views. Once a hub of smuggling activity, Sennen still retains many secret passages – one of which is said to lead to the covered well in the Old Success Inn. Largely unchanged over time, this lovely village has a timeless appeal and is home to a gallery, a medieval church, an Iron Age fort and a small selection of shops where you can buy beachware, gifts and souvenirs, and a range of groceries. There is also a weekly Farmers’ Market in the village Community Centre each Tuesday morning. During the summer, the beach bar becomes a hub of activity and entertainment, with live music, weekly barbecues and popular surfing competitions.
