“Fantastic holiday at Stargazers, just got back and looking to book again.”

Very well appointed with almost everything you would need whilst away - a proper home from home. Sennen Cove was fantastic and the family spent a few days with the Sennen Surf School learning the basics and thoroughly enjoying ourselves. If you have dogs, a day trip to the seal sanctuary is a must (dogs allowed and encouraged to interact with the seals behind the glass). A walk from the house, down to the cove and across the Lands End across the headland and back via Maria's Lane is a nice afternoon out (Watch dogs on the exposed parts of the walk so they dont wander!). In terms of things to improve, there was no welcome folder so we didn't know when the bins needed to go out. There is a bit of paint peeling from the door frames throughout upstairs. The garden isn't secure for dogs, they can get out and down to the field behind, perhaps a little wire fence would stop all but the biggest dogs from getting out. All in all, a great destination, beautiffully furnished with wonderful artwork.

About the location

SENNEN

Land’s End 1 mile; St Just 5 miles; Penzance 9 miles.

The most westerly village in mainland Britain, Sennen has a lovely mile-long beach of pure white sand and is a very popular holiday destination. With excellent surfing conditions, the village has its own surf school – overlooked by a super-cool beach bar/restaurant with floor-to-ceiling windows which make the most of the wonderful views. Once a hub of smuggling activity, Sennen still retains many secret passages – one of which is said to lead to the covered well in the Old Success Inn. Largely unchanged over time, this lovely village has a timeless appeal and is home to a gallery, a medieval church, an Iron Age fort and a small selection of shops where you can buy beachware, gifts and souvenirs, and a range of groceries. There is also a weekly Farmers’ Market in the village Community Centre each Tuesday morning. During the summer, the beach bar becomes a hub of activity and entertainment, with live music, weekly barbecues and popular surfing competitions.
