Roger our host is welcoming and is there if you need him. We plan to book again for 2027.

We received an excellent welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the cream tea.

The accommodation was very good and the garden beautiful. The position of the property made it easy to visit many places in Cornwall we did not know. We would suggest that it would be useful to have some coat pegs in tha hall.

This beautiful annexe is a very peaceful place to stay, it is very comfortable, clean and well equipped.

We are so glad that we found this holiday property and we hope to return regularly.

The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and self contained.

I particularly liked the bathroom/wet room. With great views across the paddock and fields beyond. The double bed was extremely comfortable and the wardrobe space and associated draws was more than enough for my stay. The property is attached to the owner’s house and is situated in a very quiet location. With easy access to the A30 and all of the North Cornwall Coast. Making it an ideal base to explore South West Cornwall as well. Car parking was ample for my medium sized car, but I can see that two cars could be parked there side by side with no problems. I was walking the South West Coast Path on the North Cornwall Coast and I would definitely stay in this property again to continue with my walking. I can highly recommend this property for holidaying and sightseeing, particularly in North and West Cornwall. I am looking forward to a return stay in the future.

For anyone seeking peace and quiet then 'Silverwell Forge' is the place to stay.

The annexe itself caters for every need thanks to its welcoming and friendly owner Roger. Its location is so convenient for exploring the beautiful coastline of North Cornwall. Ideal for a couple and four legged friend.

Another lovely week staying here, great location and facilities.

Me and my husband had a fantastic holiday in our cottage at silverwell forge the gardens around the property was beautiful plenty of space for our dog to run around ,the cottage was lovely inside i would recommend it to all my friends, the owner Roger was lovely, i will be booking again,

We had a lovely stay here.

We generally stay near the beach but we could travel to most areas. St Agnes was lovely and quite lively.

This is a very peaceful and comfortable cottage with so many extras and all equipment necessary.

As well as a cream tea in the fridge there were all the spices, oils, tea, coffee etc. that you could wish for. Another ‘extra’ was watching the rabbits play in the morning and evening! It is in a good location to visit both coasts or just spend a lazy day ‘at home’.

Ménage had everything you need, making it homely and comfortable.

The property was as described, and was lovely and comfortable for a week's stay.

We appreciated the washing machine and the fact that as it was still chilly in the evening, the central heating was so responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I had a very pleasant stay at the cottage, very quiet and peaceful.

It was just what I needed to escape the rat race. There are lots of interesting places to visit nearby and a good selection of restaurants. The cottage is comfortable and clean.

Good facilities. Not too far to walk to nearest pub. Given the wet weather when we were staying there was an absence of places to hang damp coats etc etc

This property was well equipped, everything provided a lot of thought gone into it by the owner even cream tea and milk in the fridge on arrival .

I have loved spending my time here.

Roger has a wonderful place, as a woman travelling alone, this Haven made me feel safe. I didn’t even lock the door! It’s great I could get to so many places from here - all the ideas and instructions left by the owner were invaluable. It was lovely to have a list of interesting places. So good to know where I could walk the dog. Amongst my favourites were Hollywell Bay in the evening ‘the lost Gardens of Heligan’. I loved St. Agnes Head. Amazing views. Whilst looking for the village Blisland which by the way is a beauty. I came across another fabulous place Cardinham woods. It had lots of different trails a café and car parking so easy. Oh goodness, too many to mention. Its wonderful part of the world thank you for letting me share your home. I have had a super time. The treat of scones and Cornwall cream after a long drive was the icing on the cake. What a welcome. Super comfy place loved it!!!

The house had everything you need for self catering. Quiet countryside location with lovely gardens. Great location for travelling around Cornwall. Host Roger was very helpful and polite. Would highly recommend.

Excellent property to stay at.

A beautiful kept apartment in a lovely area.

Quiet with a lovely garden. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. My only issue was the water in the taps was scalding hot. Turning it down a couple of degrees would make it safer and save money too!

A lovely secluded location.

Comfortable, clean accomodation and a warm welcome.

Visited from the 8th of March 2024 until the 15th of March.

We would recommend this cottage to anyone. There is a lovely pub called the Chiverton Arms just a 15 minute walk away. Good food, good ale all reasonably priced. Customers and staff were very friendly and it was dog friendly which was a bonus. The cottage itself was perfect for us. Set in the country side and attached to the owners house. On arrival we found a lovely cream tea waiting for us in the fridge. The place was immaculately clean and Roger, the owner, supplied everything we could need. Facilities are excellent and we have stayed in a lot of cottages and know a gem when we find it. If we did not have our own policy of not visiting the same place twice (It's rarely better the second time round and can blight the first experience), we would visit again.Kitchen rolls, toilet rolls washing up liquid, cleaning materials, iron and board, tin foil, cling film, full spice wrack, coffee, it was all there. We visited the places we had on our list and spent the rest of the time relaxing playing card games and watching Netflix. If you do not have a Netflix account, Roger will let you use his. It was very peaceful and quiet, which was perfect for us. Thank you Roger for such a lovely holiday. all the best, Terry, Norma and Teddy the dog.

Ménage cottage is very peaceful, lovely and warm with a great heating system for out of season breaks , and super French windows allowing the sunshine in.

It is very clean and comfortable too and is excellently equipped. The cottage is in a perfect central location for easy access to many beautiful places in Cornwall and the views from the cottage are of the lovely Cornish garden and countryside beyond. We hope to return again very soon!

A lovely stay at Manege Cottage; quite simply the best and most comfortable cottage we've stayed in yet.

We slept so well and found it to be a great location for accessing and exploring the South East & South West corners of the county. The host was kind and helpful during a power outage by a named storm. I'm sure we will return to this lovely property.

Extremely well equipped, very comfortable, all sparklingly clean and plenty of hot water. A perfect central location for exploring Cornwall. We highly recommend this cottage.

The property was lovely and had everything we needed for our stay.

There needs to be more information given about the major works on the new papas which impacts on accessing the property and getting out and about in the area. We experienced extensive delays and difficult actually finding an access Rd to the property as most roads were closed off. Having prior information would have helped and reduced the stress we experienced when trying to locate the property.

We had a great break with our dog at Manège cottage, in spite of the terrible weather!

The cottage is well presented and equipped. I had taken basic provisions but Roger had provided tea, coffee, sugar, cooking oils and herbs. The welcome cream tea was really appreciated after s long drive! The location is ideal for access to a wide range of day trips. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay a couple of days short. We would definitely come back. Many thanks.

It’s a lovely clean and comfortable little cottage.

All the basics you need are provided and it’s very well equipped. Milk, tea and coffee, sauces and even a cream tea! The location was perfect for us, really quiet and easy access to every where we wanted to visit.

Second stay at this delightful cottage and didn't disappoint.

Great location for visiting North and South Cornwall, dog friendly pub end of road along with Starbucks, Rowe's Cornish pasty shop, general store and petrol station. Cottage extremely clean and comfortable with everything you need, real home from home. Beautiful gardens with lots of wildlife to enjoy, watch the various birds and squirrels empty the bird feeder (which Roger fills up daily), catch a glimpse of Helga the horse going to and from her paddock. BBQ, table and chairs on patio to sit out weather permitting. Would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

The property was perfect for us during our stay first week in August 2022.

Immaculately clean and very well equipped, easy safe parking. Very good pub for food approx 10 mins drive along the lanes in Mithian (The Miners). All local amenities / beaches etc are very easily accessed as long as you keep away from the Chiverton roundabout which is very busy, Our well behaved german shepherd Indi made herself very much at home and had free run of the property and grounds. We think that she would love to return to this property as much as us. Roger made us very welcome and was most helpful and obliging although we were a little disappointed that he wasn't there when we checked out, it would have been nice to say goodbye and thank him for everything. Really enjoyed our stay at this cottage.

nice and quite were you are not over looked by other people. Roger the owner is on hand if you needed any directions ect. a great place for our dog he could be walked around a large garden without his lead on. there's water bowl out side and a meal bowl if needed, must say that the photos on line do not do this cottage justice its bigger than it looks. there are some great pubs nearby with nice meals at a fair price. and a great location to visit Cornwall, Rodger is a first class host. really enjoyed our stay here.

Well equipped cottage in a quiet location within easy driving distance of some nice beaches and close to the A30 if you want to explore more of Cornwall.

It was nice to find dog friendly accommodation which for us made the holiday complete.

Cottage has everything provided, the chairs aren’t overly comfortable in the lounge unfortunately.

Everything we needed was there, even spare toilet rolls. Great to see a good recycling system too. We were welcomed with a lovely fresh treat from the local bakers and a pint of milk. Set in a lovely area of Cornwall with easy links to the A30. Perfect.

Roger, the owner, was wonderful with plenty of advice on where to go and the best routes to use. Very helpful, there when you needed him but also giving plenty of space for you to be on your own. Definitely going back again next year. Outstanding!

The property was clean ,comfortable and well appointed. Warm welcome from owner ,we have no complaints and would love to stay at some time in the future. No problems in recommending highly. Access to the coast and various N.T. properties very easy.

The owners of the property are very friendly and accommodating, full of good tips and tricks for our visit. Ménage cottage was perfect for us and our little dog, who adored all the lovely outdoor space. I will 100% be recommending this cottage to friends and family!

Perfect staycation.

Ideal area for travelling to any coastline. Beautiful beaches and towns. Holiday cottage is the perfect place for peace, with everything to hand. One other chair would help in the lounge but ideal, clean place. Lovely cream tea on arrival. Nothing too much bother for the owner.

Roger was a great host. Great place to stay for visiting some womderful places in Cornwall. Only one small negative is the place wasn't as clean as I would have liked but then I am extremely fussy when it's comes to things like that.

This is a cosy, spacious, well-equipped cottage in a very peaceful location, though only a few minutes drive from the A30.

Roger, the owner was friendly and welcoming and the Cornish treat on arrival was delicious. The cottage was clean and the rooms were 'proper' rooms - i.e. the bathroom and kitchen were not squeezed into tiny spaces, which we have experienced in other holiday lets. There was instantaneous hot water and a good shower. The property exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful Cottage In a nice quiet location.

Cottage had everything you could want and need, even down to the Cream Tea the owner Roger provided, lovely surprise. Easy access to beaches and towns. Roger very friendly when we bumped into him, also very knowledgable. He suggested the local pub the Chiverton Arms which was just down the road. We had a great Sunday Roast there. We also tried the Miners Arms for a meal, which was another of Roger's recommendations. We even managed to meet Helga the horse, she was very friendly. We spent hours watching her in the adjacent field. We would definitely consider going again at some point.

The owner, Roger was very helpful with suggestions where to walk, our main interest.

He was not intrusive, but always had time for a chat if he saw us around the property. The cottage was ideally placed to get around Cornwall. One thing that could have been mentioned in the literature was the bus service from the top of the road. This was very useful for us pensioners and saved a considerable amount on parking fees,

We liked the light and bright accommodation with a good sense of space, the fact it was on one level with easy access for luggage.

Kitchen was very well equipped, had lots of cupboard space for guests food and we appreciated the supply of basics tea, sugar etc. The central heating was very efficient and kept us warm and comfortable during cold evenings and mornings. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom had loads of cupboard space. The wetroom bathroom was spacious and worked well. We appreciated the very recent wide screen TV. We enjoyed the lovely garden and quiet, green and pleasant rural surroundings and the private patio area with modern gas barbecue (although we didn't use it). The host Roger was very welcoming and friendly and quickly sorted out a minor problem with the TV. There were good facilities for exercising the dog. The cottage is just 3 miles from St. Agnes for shops and beach and just 5 miles from Truro. Many of Cornwall's attractions are easy to reach. We definitely intend to go back.

Thoroughly recommend staying at Manege Cottage

A lovely little retreat with almost everything one could wish for.

We would recommend the cottage as a base. Roger was welcoming and helpful, it was nice to know that he was there in the background if you wanted anything. From a personal point of view a small armchair/tub chair would fit nicely into the lounge alongside the kitchen wall and by the conservatory door to allow flexibility of sitting .....the sofa, whilst comfortable, is quite small forcing people to sit together.

We enjoyed our stay at Manege cottage it was in a nice rural peaceful setting, the cottage was pleasantly furnished with a very comfy bed.

It was a nice surprise to find scones with clotted cream and jam on arrival. We found it a good central base to travel the places we wanted to go

Hidden gem, tucked into the countryside but easily accessible to the a30 to get to all parts of the beautiful cornish coast.

Warm welcome on arrival, the cream tea was a lovely gesture. Would reccomend a visit.

We found it a little ridiculous that there was only 2 of everything - 2 cups, plates, knives, forks etc.

The location of the cottage near to main roads, Roger & his son were pleasant, helpful nothing was to much trouble, as I said on leaving I felt it was like being home, it was our first visit but it won't be our last.

Beautiful cottage.

Everything you could want in a holiday cottage. Owner and his son most pleasant and extremely helpful without being obtrusive. Lovely gardens to wander round and sit by the fish pond. All in all a lovely peaceful holiday with towns and beaches nearby if you want them.

We have visited this property before and we will holiday in this cottage again. The property was well equipped and clean. the location was quiet and peaceful and just what we were looking for. We had a very relaxing holiday.

The cottage setting was beautiful, almost a mini garden of Heligan, it was clean, neat and tidy with ample supplies of everything.

The rooms were reasonable size for a couple. The location of the cottage meant it was ideal for exploring mid and West Cornwall. The host Roger was accessible without being obtrusive. It was a very relaxing holiday and it was lov9to come back to the cottage every day.

Just returned from a week spent in Manege Cottage and it was exactly as described by Sykes Cottages.

It was a lovely, clean and comfortable cottage in a great location for exploring both the north and south coast lines of Cornwall. Host Roger and his son Justin were most welcoming and indeed the Cornish cream tea on arrival was a very welcome treat after such a long drive. They both made myself, my grand daughter and our little dog very welcome allowing our doggie to wander freely around the extensive and well stocked gardens. Roger is a mine of information, suggesting places to visit and actually showing us one very local cliff top walk with breath taking views that I would never have found myself. The local pub at the end of the road, The Chiverton Arms is a very friendly quirky pub with an excellent menu and the portions are huge. We visit Cornwall quite often and think in future Manege Cottage will be our base, highly recommend.

Rodger who owns the cottage was a brilliant host he made us so welcome and he counted do for us to make us welcome and my dog loved exploring the gardens and it was, secured for him I would recommend his place to all my friends as it was so relaxing holiday I will be going back their again this year can you thank Rodger for us please

The property was brilliant .

Everything you needed was there. Very clean, warm and quiet. Owner was there if you needed him and very hospitable. We left our washing behind and he sent it up to us within 2 days and would not let us pay the postage. Will definetly be going back next year.
