Set on the Tamar Valley Resort, surrounded by rolling hills and countryside in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dartmoor View is a perfect base for exploring both Devon and Cornwall with many attractions and walking opportunities close by.

A rambler’s haven with Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor within easy reach.

The scenic Tamar Valley is also a beautiful region to explore on foot.

Days out include The National Trust house and valley gardens at Cotehele and for days out beside the sea, the beaches and vibrant coastal town of Widemouth bay and Looe are easily reached.

Overlooking meadows and countryside with views stretching as far as Dartmoor, this lovely holiday home occupies a highly desirable position.

Backing onto fields you can relax in your garden and soak up the blissful views across the valley and beyond.

Having been totally refurbished throughout to a high standard, this lovely house is ideal for groups of friends or families with four spacious and tastefully decorated bedrooms.

There are two newly fitted bathrooms one on the first floor and a useful shower room on the ground floor.

The open plan living space is light and airy with patio doors leading out to the garden and a central dining area for family mealtimes and gatherings.

A newly fitted kitchen is well equipped for all your self-catering needs and will make holidays in this lovely home an absolutely joy! The park has much to offer families and groups of friends with indoor and outdoor heated pools, a mini gym, tennis courts and bar/restaurant.

There is a busy program of entertainment throughout the school holidays to keep young one's amused and a super play area for them to let off steam and meet new friends.

About the location

GUNNISLAKE

Tavistock 5 miles; Plymouth 18 miles.

The small rural village of Gunnislake lies on the steeply wooded banks of the River Tamar. It has village pubs and a small selection of shops. Notably, the village sits at one end of the scenic Tamar Valley Railway - with regular services along the river bank to Plymouth. The area is perfect for exploring Dartmoor, the south and north coast beaches and the attractions of Cornwall’s far west. Close to hand, the Dartmoor town of Tavistock with its pannier market, pubs and restaurants is a must, as well as the popular fishing village of Calstock, renowned for its crafts and festivals, while the Donkey Sanctuary and Cotehele House and Gardens (NT) are just 10 minutes away. Enjoy a round of golf at St Mellion (8 miles), explore the restored Victorian mining village at Morwellham Quay (4 miles), search for otters and deer along the Tamar Valley footpath, visit the National Trust owned Lydford Gorge, or take a trip to the beach and picturesque harbour at Looe (25 miles) - there’s something for everyone. For something really different, why not ride the scenic Tamar Valley Railway into Plymouth and spend the day in the fabulous Marine Aquarium or strolling the historic Plymouth Hoe?

Please note: Leisure facilities for 2019 - Pool & Gym will close from 5pm on 24th December and re-open at 9am on 27th December. They will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year's Day. Open from 9am to 8pm at all other times over the festive season. Reception & shop will be closed for the same periods.

The Bar & Restaurant will be open from 5pm to 11pm on Christmas Eve. It will be closed on Christmas Day. All other opening times around the Festive period have not yet been confirmed.

Opening times for the same period in 2020 and beyond have yet to be confirmed.

Note: Holiday park restrictions prevent workers/contractors staying on site.

Note: Dogs are welcome, however breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 are not permitted.

Note: This property has a private water supply which is tested regularly.

Note: Site Gym and Pool Rules - No under 16's permitted to use the gym. Pool - under 16's must be accompanied by an adult, two children max per adult. Under 8's/Non-swimmers should always be accompanied by a competent adult in the pool.

Note: Essential work is being carried out to upgrade the Biomass boilers on the site of Honicombe Manor. Although the work is almost complete there may be disruptions to the heating in the changing rooms. The temperature of the pool will remain unaffected and enjoyment of all other site facilities will not be otherwise affected.
