Pond Cottage is a wonderful tranquil haven where the only sound you hear is the dawn chorus of the birds.

The cottage is very cosy, comfortable and well equipped, a true home from home, with a stunning garden and within easy reach of many lovely places to visit around this part of Cornwall. James and Claire, the friendly owners, live next door - they will give you a warm welcome and are happy to help if you have any queries.

A very comfortable, tastefully converted and well-presented property in a quiet and accessible location.

Equipment was above expectation, there's lots of room for a couple, and there is really nothing to fault. The property is down a narrow lane, but it is only a short distance before coming to the wider road between Stithians and Rame. Highly recommended and would definitely consider again if returning to the area.

The cottage was really comfortable and well appointed.

It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need. Although it was tucked away, it was a really good base for exploring the area. The grounds were lovely too - really well kept. The owners were really helpful. We would definitely recommend it, and we would be more than happy to return.

Lovely Cottage, well equipped in a quiet location but well placed for travelling around SW Cornwall.

Friendly owners who maintain the property and grounds to a high standard. Loved the Kitchen area and the excellent bathroom. Good to have a separate entrance area for coats, shoes etc. Had a brilliant week and would highly recommend.

Pond Cottage is an absolute gem to stay in.

Quite and peaceful location, stylishly designed, comfy and cosy, spotlessly clean and a joy to come back to during our special Christmas break, during which there were some very cold nights. A credit to the owners who's attention to detail deserves immense credit.

The cottage is very clean and comfortable, has all the necessary aminaties and is in a quiet location. It is very well located for visiting both north & south coasts of Cornwall. The hosts Claire & James were very welcoming & friendly. There are also plenty of pubs serving real ale and good reasonably priced food in the area.

The cottage & grounds are superbly kept to a very high standard, made a very "home from home", comfortable week. A peaceful area for a relaxing stay but the whole of Cornwall accessible.

Constant hot water, great shower and proper large bath towels! Great location to get around the Lizard. We would highly recommend Pond Cottage and will very likely stay again.

We had a week long break away from the busy lives we lead here at pond cottage and we loved every minute. We found the cottage to be a perfect getaway which was toasty warm even in February thanks to the timed heating. The kitchen is well stocked so we both cooked (when we felt like it). LOVED the log burner which we lit every night!!. We stocked up with fire lighters, kindling, logs and smokeless coal (burnt in that order) from Morrisons fuel station in Camborne. The bed was cozy. (Bonus) The central location allowed us to visit our favourite places - PorthLeven (south) and Porthtowan (west) - both took half an hour to get to by car. We were sad to leave such a restful, cozy cottage - perfect for two. Thank you Claire and family. Best wishes, Matt and Allison. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+

Very comfortable cottage, well equipped and ideal for exploring the area.

Even in early January once we got back from a day’s walking it warmed up quickly and was cosy. Only 20 minutes walk from Stithians which had a proper country pub (Seven Stars) often full of friendly locals. The grounds were attractive and would be delightful in Summer. Definitely recommend this cottage for two.

We were not disappointed and felt the description of property represented the reality, which is not always true.

For a couple seeking a peaceful and private space look no further.

The property was very clean and comfortable .

It had a great shower and my husband loved having a coffee machine with and frothy maker also , This was an unexpected treat. We loved the peaceful setting and were both impressed with everything the cottage had to offer. Would love to return some time again,

Very clean, comfortable and fully equipped to provide a very enjoyable holiday in Pond Cottage.

From the moment we arrived, down the short, winding lane, Pond Cottage was perfect.

We immediately poured a glass of vino and sat in the secluded garden listening to the birds. Unpacking was easy with plenty of storage, cooking facilities had everything we needed and the bed was comfy. Bathroom and shower brought no complaints from us and we would certainly recommend it.

This is a lovely cottage, well maintained and furnished.

Any issues arising were quickly resolved by the friendly owners who live next door. It is in a very quiet setting. We would love to return, but in better weather, so we can explore the immediate area and walks, as well as further afield.

Super clean and comfortable. Extensive grounds which were a delight to wander round. An occasional visit from the resident cat was a bonus.

We found The Pond Cottage to be beautifully presented, comfortable, and well equipped in all areas .

Worthy of particular mention are the king sized bed, cosy sofas, superb walk-in power shower, and excellent wood burning stove. Perhaps the dining facility is a little cramped , even for just two people , and light switching when accessing the w.c. from the bedroom at night whilst safely negotiating the step at the bedroom door is somewhat hazardous .This lovely stone built cottage is surrounded by delightfully peaceful sub tropical planted gardens , quite inspirational. Pond cottage is a beautiful property in a very quiet and peaceful location.

Extremely well equipped, cannot think of anything not supplied. Large fridge and freezer which is unusual and really grateful for it. Large parking space right outside the door and a large garden to use if the weather allows. We do not have any negative comments.

The cottage is beautifully done, extremely comfortable, warm and very well-equipped. Gorgeous gardens with stream and pond.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage, with everything you could need provided, except food of course!

Full size appliances, and the bonus of a dishwasher. Heating is efficient and reliable, and plentiful hot water. Beautifully decorated throughout, with accent colours make the whole place tranquil, cosy and very comfortable. The bed is divine, and the electric blanket a real luxury on chilly nights! We booked the cottage so my husband could walk sections of the South West Coastal Path, and I could carry on working, just dropping him off in the mornings, and picking him up at the end of his hike that day. Although very rural, the cottage is easily accessible by major roads and decent country lanes. The village of Stithians is a walkable distance or about a five minute drive, and the Seven Stars pub is excellent, with well kept beers, and good food. We didn’t need to ask our hosts James and Claire anything, but we knew they were on hand if needed. We highly recommend this wonderful cottage! 1000/10!!

Your map location is incorrect & shows the wrong cottage giving the impression of views across wide open fields.

This needs correcting to show the right location.

Clean, bright, superbly well equipped and supremely cosy for the two of us. We loved everything about the location and the wildlife including Harry the one eyed cat. We would definitely book again (and we are hugely selective in our choices) so meets all our needs and exceeded expectations.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday in pond cottage stithians , it was everything we could have wished for, stylish , extremely well equipped, comfortable, cosy plus convenient for visiting all the sites in Cornwall

A lovely Cottage in a fabulous location, rural yet very close to "proper" roads and lots of areas of interest.

Very peaceful, just lovely and everything has been thought of for the comfort of guests. The lovely cream tea set the scene and all was uphill from there on. Not only was the cottage lovely but the gardens too, with a stream running along the side. Harry the cat was a character, he used to call every morning. A lovely holiday, thank you all.

Pond cottage was a very comfortable and relaxing place to stay and contributed to a wonderful holiday.

The outside photographs of views from the property were a little deceiving, but the cottage was better than we expected.

It was great being welcomed on our arrival by the family and a cream tea, flowers etc ready to eat.

Delicious. The cottage is in a beautiful setting and, even though we had a lot of rain during our stay, we still enjoyed it immensely. We had everything we could possibly need as Mr and Mrs Newman had thought to make th- e cottage 'home from home' and more besides. We would have liked to book June, which was available before we left home, but we are now trying to sort another date as we love it so much. Thank you Claire, James, Poppy and Oliver - it was great meeting you and look forward to staying with you again soon.

We had a wonderful week in Pond Cottage.

The cottage itself was extremely clean and well appointed. All furnishings were of a high standard as were the kitchen utensils. The bed was so so comfortable and together with the peaceful location ensured we had a good nights sleep. Our host and hostess were friendly and helpful. The location was very good as it was close to our favourite places on the Lizard. The grounds were well kept and provided a lovely place to sit or walk round the lake. We would highly recommend.

For us the cottage was ideally located to explore Cornwall - after a long day out it was always welcoming to come back and relax in the peace and tranquility of the cottage.

Pond Cottage was well equipped with everything you needed and the scones on arrival were very well received. We would really recommended a stay at Pond Cottage.
