The property

The Reading Room is a lovely converted chapel in the Cornwall hamlet of Seworgan, near Constantine.

This single-story stone building has original elements such as vaulted beamed ceilings and stylish décor.

Bring your significant other along for a romantic getaway to the Cornish countryside, and park in the off-road parking area.

Stepping through the French doors, you'll find a bright and open living space with a contemporary kitchen area with an electric oven and range for whipping up culinary delights.

Take a seat at the dining table and toast to your retreat when dinner is served; then relax on the cushioned sofa and watch the Smart TV.

Why not relax in the sun on the outside furniture, where a barbecue tempts you to whip up some wonderful treats?

As the evening draws to a close, retire inside for a relaxing dip in the bathtub, then enjoy the warmth of the underfloor heating beneath your feet.

Put on your pyjamas and curl up in the double bed with a cup of hot chocolate; bedside lighting tempt you to read late at night.

Cycling, walking, and touring calm gardens such as The Homestead Woodland Garden and Trebah Garden are all easy from The Reading Room.

Jump in the car and head to Flambards Theme Park for thrilling rides, the Cornish Seal Sanctuary to witness seal pups, or the Museum of Cornish Life to learn about the region's rich history.

Why not go to Porthleven and enjoy the michelin star restaurant?

About the location

CONSTANTINE

Falmouth 9 miles; Truro 14 miles.

A charmingly picturesque country village with a few shops, a pub and a lovely church, set among green rolling meadows and wooded valleys leading down to the beautiful Helford river, just 3 miles away. Famous for its mild climate, this quieter part of Cornwall has the outstanding gardens of Trebah, Penjerrick, Glendurgan and Carwinion all within 4 miles. For nature lovers and those who enjoy boats, the misty reaches of the Helford river meander upstream to Gweek, where the world renowned Seal Sanctuary looks after the region’s many abandoned and injured seals. Falmouth, with its narrow streets, natural harbour and National Maritime Museum is just 20 minutes by car, while Flambards theme park (8 miles) and Argal Lake with its water sports attractions make great days out. The nearby beautiful Lizard Peninsula, with its outstanding beaches and quaint fishing villages dotting the rocky coastline, has the benefit of outstanding scenery, tranquillity and some great walks.
