Little Ruffo

Excellent location and very clean property.

With comfy beds. Clean linen and towels. I had to cut back the vegetation to park the car, as the vegetation was overgrown. The patio door was stiff and difficult to close. The tap in the downstairs toilet was loose. Had to unblock the kitchen sink drain, as it was full of leaves and flooded the patio. The BBQ was not usable without a good clean. Hopefully, the above comments are seen as constructive and helpful. If the above did not exist would have given 5 stars. Unfortunately, there was a heating oil leak from the property below, with an over powering smell for a few days and it was recommended not to bath on the beach until Wednesday. Which was no fault of the owners, but did impact our enjoyment of the holiday.

The house was perfect for us as a family of 5.

The vistas were lovely with everything we needed right on our doorstep. Lovely walks in all directions and a great pub for meals and coffees. Would definitely recommend the property and hope to be back next year!

The property is in the most beautiful place with fantastic views, it just a shame that when we arrived it was filthy and we had to go out and buy cleaning products to start cleaning before we could enjoy the holiday .

The patio was swimming in foul smelling drain water, the floors in the downstairs rooms were dirty , brown mop water after I’d cleaned shows no cleaning had been done . I have a dog so understand what it’s like but all the windows had old dry dog saliva which I had to clean . There was a poo stain in the downstairs rooms toilet on the wall . Once the place had been cleaned by myself and family the holiday went well . Upstairs much better . Poor response from Sykes , no response from owners . Disappointing! Oh and the rug in the lounge again not clean . Suggest you change the cleaning company buy a carpet cleaner or a new rug !

We have stayed in 3 different locations in the wonderful Trebarwith Strand and Little Ruffo is our favourite, Camilla and Gordon think of everything and the scones are a nice touch !

A fabulous place in a fabulous place. Many thanks for helping our family recharge and create more magical memories.

We have been to Trebarwith Strand numerous times over the years and stayed in a few cottages, this was our first time in Little Ruffo and the best by far.

Being slightly set up on a the hill gives you a great view of the sea/pub and all the goings on from the patio, which is also a great place to chill and you don’t get the hoards of people walking past your house due to where it is. Good comms with the owner who replied straight away when I messaged them Highly recommended

My family and I have stayed in quite a few properties in and around Trebarwith Strand, but Little Ruffo is the only one we have booked twice!

It is a lovely, light, well equipped little cottage in the perfect spot with a great outdoor space. Its high position is brilliant for people watching (and escaped sheep watching!), but it’s short distance from the ‘hub’ of the Strand is brilliant, as it ensures both privacy and peace and offers fantastic views. The beach is literally a 3 min walk as is access to the coastal path. . Trebarwith is our ‘happy place’, and we miss it already!

Really lovely place, will definatley be back!
