Viewed as one of Cornwall’s best surfing beaches, Watergate Bay also offers sand yachting, paragliding, kite surfing, cliff climbing, and abseiling. The area is a favourite with walkers, with the South West Coast Path extending west toward Newquay and east to Padstow, through some of the county’s most dramatic coastal scenery. Newquay, with its lively resort attractions, shops, bars, zoo and Sea Life Centre is just four miles away, whilst the picturesque town of Padstow, with its famous seafood restaurants and beautiful harbour area, make a great day out. The world-renowned Eden Project, the National Maritime Museum at Falmouth and the Cathedral city of Truro, with its cobbled streets, restaurants, museums and theatre are all within easy reach, as are several stately homes and outstanding gardens.
