“The situation of Carn Eve is second to none in this area of Cornwall.”

Beautiful spot.. The building offers great accommodation for a large family and all the requisite gear, i.e. Bedding, Kitchen and laundry facilities etc. are excellent. We had no need to call upon Jason though we did chat very briefly. All told a great find for our families totalling 13. Good holiday which all enjoyed. Cost wise probably just about worth it. We would recommend more detailed signage to enable the place to be found and the road/ lane to the house could be improved. Exhausts cost ...

The property

Set in one of Cornwall’s most spectacular cliff-top locations, Carn Eve is a magnificent seven-bedroom coastal retreat offering private access to Gwenver Beach, which adjoins the iconic Sennen Cove – two of Cornwall’s most celebrated surfing beaches.

This is a property designed for unforgettable gatherings, with space, style, and scenery that will take your breath away. From the moment you arrive along the private lane, the uninterrupted ocean views will mesmerize you.

On clear days, you can even glimpse the Isles of Scilly shimmering on the horizon. Inside, the sense of scale is extraordinary: a grand sitting room framed by huge windows on three sides, delivering panoramic views of the Atlantic in all its moods.

Whether you’re storm-watching by a roaring log fire in winter or spotting dolphins dancing in the bay on long summer days, this room is pure magic.

It’s no wonder Carn Eve draws families back year after year, with some returning for over a decade to relive the magic. Step outside to the wraparound decked terrace, perfect for private sunbathing, alfresco dining, or sunset drinks.

The house spans three floors, with seven bedrooms offering flexible sleeping arrangements and five bathrooms for comfort and convenience. A games room adds fun for younger guests, while multiple living spaces ensure everyone has room to relax. Beyond the house, the adventure begins: a private footpath leads directly to Gwenver Beach, renowned for its surf and natural beauty.

Difficult for the general public to reach, it remains blissfully uncrowded – your own slice of Cornish paradise.

There is also an outdoor tap, ideal for rinsing sandy feet, wetsuits, muddy paws, and walking boots after long days exploring the coast. The South West Coast Path is moments away, opening up endless opportunities for walkers to explore dramatic headlands and hidden coves.

For those venturing towards Land’s End, the Land’s End Coffee Bar & Roastery, just a short walk from the famous landmark, makes a welcome pit-stop for weary ramblers in need of a good coffee.

Back at Sennen Cove, thrill-seekers can book a surf lesson with the award-winning Sennen Surfing Centre, set right on the golden sands, while those in search of relaxation can unwind with a sauna session at Bos Sauna, perched on the edge of the cove with sweeping views of the rolling Atlantic – best followed by an invigorating sea dip.

Afterwards, refuel at the beachside Sennen Surf Lodge restaurant overlooking the water. Carn Eve is pet-friendly, making it perfect for families, groups of friends, and celebrations with four-legged companions. Whether you’re chasing summer sunsets or embracing the drama of winter storms, this house offers a front-row seat to Cornwall’s wild beauty – an iconic property in an iconic location.
