We had a great holiday at Chy-Whel.

The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The owners were very welcoming and being able to charge our EV was really helpful. Lots to do in the area. Very impressed by the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project. Well worth visiting.

Fran and John are excellent hosts The bungalow is the best we have ever stayed in.

So clean comfortable and everything you could require there. We had a great week, the weather to was good. Enjoyed Perranporth beach everyday as our two dachshunds loved to run along the beach. Sticker is a really nice village the local shop has lots of unusual things We shall be back soon!

This property was fabulous, I didn’t know what to expect with staying in a non tourist village but it was perfect, clean, tidy, spacious (we stayed with 3 adults and a dog) the location is perfect, warm village feel local pub was welcoming and is a non tourist location.

10 minutes from Charlestown, st Austell st Stephen. Local walks, shops but rural enough to get away from the hustle and bustle. We loved it so much we have booked again next year. The house had everything you need and when I say pristine I mean pristine very well looked after. Thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay

Chy Whel is a lovely bungalow, tucked away in a quiet spot but within easy reach of one of the most beautiful parts of Cornwall, with Heligan, the Eden Project, Charlestown and Mevagissey all quite close.

It is warm and comfortable, with excellent facilities and very comfy beds. It's also very dog friendly, so our dog had a good time too. We'd be happy to stay there again.

We found the property to be spotlessly clean and everything looked like new.

The property is ideally located to explore the area. The only thing missing was a tumble dryer as we visited during early spring when the weather was wet. This would not be a problem in summer. A perfect holiday accommodation a real home from home and the welcome cream tea was very much appreciated.

Beautiful accommodation, very comfortable & well equipped with everything you need for self catering.

Lovely owners that are there if you need them for anything. My dogs loved the area with a free enclosed dog park nearby

Clean, comfy well appointed property.

The beds are really comfortable, which makes a change. The owners John and Fran are really helpful, the little touches were great. Milk and a cream tea, even our dog was left some treats The property is ideally located for exploring the local and wider area. We had a very relaxing break and would thoroughly recommend the property.

We were visiting family who lived locally. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. It suited us very well. A good location for getting out and about. Very happy to consider booking again

This property is lovely, you feel at home as soon as you enter, it has everything could want, the recliners a comfortable and the beds are super comfy, the owners are really nice and helpful, and with the electric charger that they charge at a very reasonable rate you will never be stuck to go exploring, this property is in the middle of most places you will want to explore, look forward to visiting again

You can always tell you’re in an above average holiday let when you are given access to a sharp knife :) Owners were warm and friendly but not intrusive. I definitely plan to come back again.

A lovely place to stay everything you could want and more, plus it's location is a bonus with a pub and shop/post office 5 minutes walk away also a hourly bus service to St Austell and Truro.

Accommodation was lovely, beautifully decorated with a lovely welcome pack of scones, cream & jam and even biscuits for the dogs too.

Kitchen very well equipped though disappointing not to have a dishwasher. Bathroom was gorgeous but the shower is small and it floods the entire bathroom floor which is annoying. Pillows on the beds were flat as pancakes, wished I’d taken my own and the beds are rock hard so not very comfortable (just our opinion, might be perfect for others).

Fantastic "home from home" accommodation left wanting for nothing.

Great location for travelling around in any direction. Wonderful welcome from Fran & John. Not our first visit there & hopefully won't be our last. My wife & myself would recommend this accommodation anytime. Hopefully see you next year.

The property is perfectly situated and absolutely beautiful kept the owners Fran and John are so helpful and lovely welcome with scones and Jam and even a pint of milk and some tea bags and coffee sachets Then even left a treat for the dogs couldn’t of asked for a better place thank you

Brilliant accomodation in great quiet location,ideal as a base for exploring the local area.

The cottage is modern and very well kept,plus great communication from neighbouring owner. Highly recommended!

Superb property in a beautiful setting.

I had visited Sticker before when I was very young, but had never appreciated what a lovely little place it is. It has an excellent local pub serving delicious home-cooked food and a dog park the like of which I have not experienced before (wish my local council would build one near where I live). The owners were delightful and welcoming and the house had every modern convenience we could have wished for. We loved being at Chy-Whel and were sorry to have to leave when our holiday came to an end.

Lovely property was in an ideal position in Cornwall to visit everything for use.

There is everything you need throughout your holiday. The cottage was spotless, and the owners Fran & John,were very welcoming and are there if you should need them. The property suited our needs, dog friendly, one level, very comfortable beds, walk in shower, fully equipped kitchen, ample parking, enclosed courtyard, great suntrap with patio furniture and attractive plants, and very central to our requirements.

The owners Fran & John were so friendly and welcoming, a pleasure to meet them. The property was of a high standard and well maintained, was very quiet and tranquil, perfect for holiday. We would highly recommend this property and we'll stay there again. The village of Sticker is quaint and friendly, has a local shop, pub, all within walking distance. We think Chy-Whel is a gem of a find.

This was the first property I had booked and it was a seamless process with excellent communication throughout.

The owners were amazing and on discussion about our arrival time offered a dog crate for my parents four legged friend who is on 6 weeks complete rest. The property is of a high standard and was spotless. The welcome gifts for us and the dog were also a lovely surprise. We could not fault the property which had everything and more you could want. So quiet and relaxing we didn't want to come home.

I have just stayed at chey whel what a lovely place, its very modern, spotlessly clean, has everything you would need for you stay,and lots of attention to detail its in a lovely quiet location, nice little pub at the end of the road, great for dogs, would definitely stay here again, its one of the best places I have stayed in cornwall.

Had a great week, cottage was perfect for us.

Scones were appreciated after a long drive down. Didn’t get to visit the pub in the end but the village shop was well stocked and friendly. Dog walking field was useful, wish more places had them!!

Lovely comfortable property, tastefully furnished in nice area to explore this part of Cornwall.

Great location, very quiet but only 10 minutes from great attractions and beaches.

The property is very well appointed and highly recommended. Would definitely visit again!

A very enjoyable stay at this property.

The only downside was uncomfortable beds, but one can say this is a personal issue.

This is a well presented property with a very well equipped kitchen.

1 downside in the kitchen was lack of towel rail but maybe I'm just nitpicking. Lovely village that also had a field designated to dog walking..our girl loved it up there. Sticker is close enough to larger town if needed. We would have liked a rug in the lounge area but as it's a dog friendly holiday home that's not always practical. Chy Whel is close to a good variety of places to visit etc. The owner lives next door so close enough if you needed help but not obtrusive. A very nice welcome cream tea & milk were waiting for us...plus tea/coffee and sugar.

Fran was a brilliant host and the property had everything we needed. It was a great base to explore beautiful Cornwall. I would highly recommend a stay here. In fact, we are already looking to book again next year.

Very pleasant purpose built holiday bungalow.

Quiet location a short distance up a track. Very helpful onsite owners. Good location, just off the main road between St Austell and Truro so easy to get to places along the coast, and a short drive down to the coast at Mevagissy and Gorran Haven. And only a couple of miles from the Lost Gardens, which are wonderful. Happy to recommend.

Chy-Wel is a lovely property.

Well appointed and very thoughtfully equipped. It was very clean with a beautiful bathroom, lovely bedrooms with comfortable beds and lovely open plan kitchen/diner and lounge. It is very well situated to nearby beaches and towns. The local pub was a 5 minute walk away with a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere and traditional meals and very dog friendly. We would love to go back as we enjoyed our stay so much.

Just arrived home after a wonderful week at Chy Whel.

The cottage was spotless, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was ideal for travelling to the coast. We especially enjoyed Fowey, Mevagissey, Porthleven and Polperro . The local pub is a 5 minute stroll and is lovely. Fran and John were friendly and helpful hosts. Thank you for the cream tea that was waiting when we arrived. Delicious!! Highly recommend this cottage.

We found the bungalow beautiful however i booked it because its advertised as suitable for guests with restricted mobility.

But it isnt at all the bathroom is unsuitable you cant get a wheelchair in the shower and theres no grabrails or shower seat, and theres was nothing stated regarding the steep graveled drive leading to the property .This is not a reflection on the owners who are lovely people but these issues do need attention.

Just coming home from a lovely holiday in Cornwall, staying at the wonderful Chy-Whel in Sticker.

We couldn't fault this spotlessly clean, very comfortable and extremely well appointed bungalow which is beautifully furnished with parking and a charming, sunny outside space. We fully recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the St Austell / Mevagissey area. It really is just 15 mins drive to the Eden project, Lost Gardens at Heligan, Mevagissey harbour and many lovely beaches in the area. Our favourites are Porthpean and Gorran Haven - Charlestown is also well worth the short trip to visit, especially for Poldark fans. Fran is an amazing host, friendly, knowledgeable but not at all intrusive. We hope to return.

What a beautiful bungalow!

It was perfect! So clean and comfortable! I didn’t want to leave! Fran and John were brilliant, always on hand if we needed anything. The village is lovely, great pub and shop , just a few minutes walk from the bungalow. Lots of beaches a short drive away. My 3 dogs and us had a great time!

We had a fabulous time at Cey-Whel.

The accommodation was beautiful, clean and had so many thoughtful touches. The owners were so friendly and helpful, a truly relaxing experience, we couldn’t praise them or the cottage enough. Really lovely. Would recommend to anyone without reservation. They also welcomed our three English Springer Spaniels, with treats, water bowl and towels! How amazing is that. Thank you.

A lovely cottage and close to some lovely beaches .

Fran the owner was on site and always very accommodating and helpful . Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here and hopefully we will return again soon

We absolutely loved the cottage and Fran & John, the owners were very nice people.

It was extremely comfortable and in a quiet location. Close enough to pubs and shops. Various places of interest are to be found in the surrounding area. All in all a great holiday.

A home from home with everything you need and more. If you want a peaceful and quiet holiday then Chy Whel fits the bill. The bungalow has a high standard of cleanliness. Beds really comfortable. As a base for visiting Eden project, Lost Gardens of Heligan etc it’s perfect!

Very clean, comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. The owner has thought of every utensil needed and was so very welcoming and had provided basic supplies as well as a cream tea! Thank you; we all enjoyed our week there.

We had a fabulously relaxing stay mainly due to the hideous weather and lack of phone signal.

Chy Whel is finished to a high standard, furnished with everything you could need, very comfortable and homely - the underfloor heating throughout is a dream!!

One of the best properties we have stayed in.

The owners Fran and John live on site are extremely helpful and very friendly. They are however non intrusive. They provide a great welcome pack especially welcome to those that have come a long way. The weather was very good to us for January and we had some great days out. Spending lots of time on the beaches with our two mini dachshund who were in there element, they really enjoyed their holiday. A big thank you to our hosts.

The property is new and furniture great quality.

The mattresses are superb. The welcome from Fran was great with a lovely cream tea to enjoy and a few essentials in the fridge after a long journey.

Great location in a quiet cul-de-sac.

The village is small but does have a nice size shop for essentials. We had Sunday lunch in the village Pub within walking distance. Supermarkets in abundance to drive to or have a delivery. The accommodation is tastefully decorated and has everything you could wish for in the kitchen cupboards. The owners are available on site and very friendly and helpful. We were left cream tea supplies along with a starter pack so no need to shop immediately. A great find and would always consider in the future for a holiday in the area.

We had a lovely weeks stay at Chy-Whel, it was immaculate throughout and very well equipped.

Fran was friendly and helpful and left a welcome pack of cheese, ham, bread, milk and cream tea which was very helpful after a long journey. The cottage is very close to some lovely beaches, with Carlyon Bay being our favourite. We also visited the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Charlestown, Mevagissy and Pentewan Beach, all of which were a short drive away. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Chy-Whel is a beautifully thought out and equipped bungalow.

Every effort has been taken to ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing. We had glorious sunshine all week hence the sun trap patio with a sun umbrella was well used. This a great location for reaching the towns and beaches on both coastline. The village pub a few minutes walk away does very good food and is very friendly. Thank you John and Fran for a wonderful holiday.

Very clean with good quality furnishings and fittings. Lovely little patio which was a sun trap. Plenty of parking. Dog friendly everywhere. Small village location. Pub food very good. Central location. Owners very helpful but unobtrusive. Would definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful holiday in Cornwall.

Chy-Whel is a great base for exploring both coasts with Mevagissey nearby. The holiday cottage was very comfortable and clean and the owners very helpful but unobtrusive. The afternoon tea provided on arrival was very welcome after a long drive. The property is well equipped and is furnished to a very high standard. This is probably the best holiday let we have booked so far.

Fran and John were very friendly and helpful, the under flooring heating took some time to get use to but we got there.

Hot tip the cutlery drawer is in the top drawer you have to pull it forward to find knives forks and spoons yes we had to ask. 10 out of 10 for the accommodation unfortunately we only had one day without rain but managed to have a great holiday.
