Three beautifully-presented bedrooms await your relaxation, each overlooking the gardens and with storage for your belongings, including a double with an en-suite shower room, a double and a twin.
Outside, make the most of the communal garden space with a picnic in the sunshine, whilst the communal utility takes care of all of your sandy clothes.
Trethin is a lovely rural area with rural views and access to both the countryside and coast of Cornwall.
If you need a hot meal, a glass of your favourite beverage, or wish to stock up on essentials, head over to the riverside village of Camelford, where there is a shop, pubs and tasty eateries.
The property is within reach of a wide variety of historical sites such as King Arthur’s Hall, Stannon Stone Circle, Trippet Stone Circle and Delford Bridge, as well as fantastic walks through the local scenery.
If you fancy a day spent beside the seaside, head over to Tintagel where there is an amazing castle and breath-taking coastal walks stretching for miles along the rugged cliffs and pretty beaches, or visit Polzeath, ideal for spending a day on the beach or trying out watersports such as surfing.

The area and grounds are beautiful, offering quick access to the coast for day trips.
While the cottage is nice and sized well for four people, we faced several issues. The dishwasher was broken upon arrival—a key requirement for our booking. Sykes Cottages failed to respond to our complaint, but because we took care of everything personally, the owner reacted well and resolved it by replacing the appliance after a week. Additionally, we encountered cleanliness issues, including a moldy refrigerator, a dirty interior, and a wasp nest, all of which were addressed during the first week. However, the property remains unclean in several areas and requires renovation. The furniture and cupboards smell damp and show mildew stains; the house needs proper maintenance. This was particularly disappointing given that this property was significantly more expensive than a similar one we rented last year. Finally, while the games room was excellent for the children, it also requires mold remediation and upkeep to ensure a comfortable stay. Also the communal laundry facilities posed a challenge. Apart from being dirty and not well kept you had to pay by meter without exactly knowing how much you need to pay. A load of laundry cost us 7£.
A very good house perfect for our needs--our only quibbles would be a) the other properties had a wooden table and chairs outside their properties for dining etc--that would have been good--also the washing machine situation was a bit tiresome--first it didn't work and then it required large numbers of £1 coins to keep it working--also a very minor point it might be good to have a couple of plates/cups for very young children as the crockery was excellent but a bit nerve wracking with a 2 year old!
I have marked down cleanliness and maintenance for The Byre because the cottage smelt musty when we arrived, the wardrobes and drawers smelt musty too, but better after we let them air.
The oven was dirty/greasy. The windows needed a good clean and the dead leaves needed to be swept away from the front door (this was in June!) Also the TV stand looked like it was about to collapse under the weight of the TV. Lovely cottage, but just needed a bit of TLC. The grounds were gorgeous and all with easy reach of footpaths and amenities. Despite these few thing which could easily be fixed, we would stay here again. I just felt I needed to be honest.
