The open‑plan ground floor created a brilliant family space, and the kitchen was one of the best equipped we’ve come across, plenty of crockery, cookware, and everything needed for easy self‑catering. The seaside‑themed décor was charming without being overdone, and the accessories were chosen with real care.

“Good location.”

Parking very tight on the corner. A refurbished property with no soul .shower drains not cleaned out water no draining away . Stair case hand rail loose . Poorly maintained for this price point . Paid just under £2000 for 7 nights , should be half that .

Sorry to hear you were little disappointed. Parking understand is on corner but does have own separated parking with additional on private lane at front of house. Will have our house management look at the draining in shower and stair case hand rail. The house is new cottage only 7 years old. Property Owner

“We left a review in the book in the house - we loved it!”

It had everything we needed including the Monopoly set we 'accidentally' left at home! We have four children so we were worried about space as it's hard to tell on photos but it was very spacious and we were all very comfortable chilling on the sofas in the living room and had plenty of space around the table. The house is a fantastic base for exploring Cornwall - we went to some lovely beaches and restaurants, the Eden Project is only 45 mins away, our fave beach was the 3 mile beach. The waves were great and the kids had so much fun on their surf boards. St Agnes itself only down the road is a lovely little town with a butchers and bakery and The Miners Arms did a fab Sunday roast. I'd recommend booking well in advance for that one as it didn't sound like they accepted walk-ins when they asked if we booked a table. The shower at the house was amazing! and the beds comfortable - the bath was a great size too. We had everything we needed and everything worked perfectly. We would highly recommend it.

“We absolutely loved everything about this accommodation.”

It was spotless, beautifully presented, and attention was given to even the smallest details. The location was perfect — close to the beaches, shops, and everything we needed. The owners were lovely and very responsive to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend staying here and would happily return. Loved it!

“Lovely house.”

Modern quiet and everything we needed to relax. Well done to the owners who clearly thought of everything. Didn’t use the garden as bit windy and wet at the beginning. We are into recycling but didn’t know when the bin men were coming so missed them. Only one minor comment. We always leave a property as we find it but couldn’t find the vacuum cleaner. Generally it was clean and tidy but could do with a wizz around with the duster in the lounge and windows. Overall it was a lovely holiday in a great location.

“Gwel Nans is a lovely property, situated about a 5 min drive from the lovely village of St Agnes.”

It is on a completely blind bend if turning in from the right. The house has everything you need and is spacious and comfy( although take your own condiments). The garden is small and we couldn’t sit out as it is overgrown - the grass needs cutting and the decking is covered in bird poo - it could do with a jetwash/hose to clean it up! The shower over the bath takes ages to drain too but these are really small points, the house is lovely!! It is a good base and location for travelling round Cornwall but if you want to pop to the pub or shops you will need to drive. There is nothing in immediate walking distance. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. Unfortunately we didn’t have the best weather but we still managed to visit the gorgeous beaches at St Agnes and Crantock on the two best days as well as a rainy day visit to St Ives and a trip to the wonderful St Nectans Glen (quite a drive there!) Thank you.

Hi Thank you for the feedback, unfortunately we are still looking for a replacement Gardner this season. We are trying to keep the garden up to scratch as we can. On the decking it’s a challenge as the we get hit from the seagulls on regular basis but will add cleaning as part of garden maintaince. We will check the condiments with our house keeper as we normally have them. We will have the shower checked as most likly drain cup needs empty. “Of all the houses we have stayed in.”

This house was by far the most comfortable. It was clean, well maintained with a well stocked kitchen, everything at your fingertips. My grandson loved playing Spiderman on the PS4. Thank you for that. Just 2 points: The grass needed cutting, I would have done it. Welcome pack on scones, jam & cream would have been appreciated after our long journey, but overall, I'll give this property 10/10. Thank you for having us x

Thank you for your feedback, we do provide tea/coffee & milk sachets (milk is tricky given people’s requirements). We have discussed with Sykes about offering a welcome pack, that could be arranged during booking. We will investigate the slip matt as they are provided in the cupboard and strange on the tea towels as we had purchased new pack of them. I will discuss we our house manager that perhaps to provide a call to all guest on arrival that any issues or questions are resolved. Property Owner

“A lovely house, spacious, well furnished and spotless.”

My only suggestion to make this even better would be to leave a tea towel please and consider black out or thicker lined curtains upstairs, the white curtains in the double bedroom at the back of the house were especially thin! These are minor points and our stay was otherwise fantastic, thank you!

“The house itself is really lovely- the owners have clearly put a lot of thought, time, and effort into creating a really nice holiday home, with everything you might need.”

The location is good- close to Perranporth, and St Agnes, with lots of other lovely nearby beaches & places to visit. But we couldn’t help but feel that it was being let down by the cleaning company- there was a lot of dust on light shades, skirting boards & furnishings, cob webs, crumbs on the dining chairs, and stains in the toilets. The garden furniture hadn’t been cleaned or brushed off for a long time, and the grass was long, which didn’t make the garden inviting for us. It really wouldn’t take a lot for things to be perfect there. Overall we had a lovely stay & hope others do too!

“A Real Home From Home.”

What a fantastic property, this has to be one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. It has everything in it you could possibly need, the owners have really thought about what you would need also with children (non slip bath mat, black out blind, stairgate, toys to name a few things). The kitchen was well stocked, so the few times I cooked it had everything i needed. Great location for exploring Cornwall, we traveled to St Ives, Newquay, Eden Project and was all within an hrs drive. Cant recommend this property enough.

“A lovely house in a good, peaceful location, very close to Perranporth.”

Unfortunately there were a couple of things that were not up to standard. The toilet upstairs hadn’t been cleaned properly and there were multiple hairs on the sheet of the one bed. The bin in the kitchen was dirty and there were crumbs all over the kitchen chairs. We cleaned everything and purchased a new sheet. The garden furniture didn’t appear to have been used for a long time and would need cleaning. On a final note, although not expected, a pint of milk in the fridge would be a nice welcome. We still had a lovely stay and it wouldn’t stop us from returning.

The property was very clean and tidy with everything we needed and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anybody wishing to visit the area. We came with our son and grand daughter who were over from Australia for a visit so it was an ideal base for going 'down in Cornwall' saving travelling time from Bude where we live. The local pubs - Miners Arms and Bolingey Inn - served very good evening meals as we didn't want to cook for ourselves and wanted to sample the local cuisine. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable.

Everything required for a comfortable stay had been thought of and supplied by the owners and the house was very clean We enjoyed our holiday despite the weather being windy and rainy for several days during our week's stay We enjoyed walking along the beaches and coast paths at both Perranporth and Holywell Bay and hope to re- book again sometime in the future
