Chilowan

The stay at Chilowan was wonderful, such a clean, comfortable and well equipped place to stay.

The outdoor space was just perfect for our two frenchies. We have all ready booked again for next year.

This was our second visit to Chilowan and we love it there.

It's location is ideal for exploring Cornwall, walks along the coastal path or visiting the local beach. The accommodation is immaculate, comfortable and equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. We love the sea views and the absolutely stunning sunsets. Looking forward to our return visit. Thank you Tim & Louise x

We had a great time with lots of walks from the door and being able to catch the bus outside was brilliant.

We where comfy with lots of space in the bungalow, cleaning was good in most areas but lots of bits on the work tops and tablecloth, was not happy about all the brushes, hoover etc piled up in the corner, a cupboard was needed for the kitchen. Good parking off road but the gates where a bit tricky..

Absolutely fabulous stay from start to finish.

The property had everything and more that we needed for our stay and was very clean and tidy. The views and sunsets were stunning. Thank you for the nice touches of fresh flowers and milk on arrival and especially the homemade carrot cake which was amazing. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Fantastic property probably the best we have stayed at.

Everything you could possibly need is there. We took stuff with us that we didn’t need to unpack . The views were spectacular especially the sunset. The owners obviously thought of everything so what more can I say, we have never been that lucky when booking a holiday rental . Will definitely be back .

Lovely, comfortable property.

Very well equipped throughout and very clean. Tastefully decorated. Milk, cake and fresh flowers on our arrival! Great views across to the sea. House is set off the main road through Trewarmett, however, we were not disturbed by any traffic noise at all. Trebarwith Beach is about a mile away and is a fantastic beach, just watch out for tide times. Chilowan is in a great location to explore north Cornwall. Would definitely recommend.

The cottage is beautiful so well equipped with everything you could need .

It felt like home from home , location is fantastic we did so many things within no more of 30 mins of driving and still didn’t do everything . I would love to stay again in the future and would recommend to anyone .

Chilowan is very well equipped and we felt at home straight away.

The high quality interiors, fixtures and touch points are great. Just perfect for a family of four. Trewarmett is a quiet village near a great tidal beach that is great for body boarding with teenagers. We loved it, thank you.

Very happy with the accommodation, felt very much like a home from home with everything you would need.

Locking & unlocking of front door bit of a challenge until we got the hang of it. Took us a couple of days to master it. Beautiful sunsets on 3 evenings from the Sitting Room.

We stayed at Chilowan as a birthday treat for mum so that she was able to celebrate a special birthday with local friends.

The bungalow was perfect for us , warm and comfortable with lovely decor and the kitchen was kitted out with all we might need …. Even a cake ! It was great to bring the dogs a long too, the lay out and enclosed garden made it all simple . Thank you

Throughly enjoyed our stay , cottage was very comfortable and well equipped.

Nice walk down to the beach and pub and good location to explore Tintagel and surrounding areas. Big thank you to Kim who kindly arranged to send my husband laptop back to us after we realised it had been left behind. Would highly recommend and would come back again

Spacious rooms. Lovely views. Ideal spot for exploring the coast. Close to Tintagel and the castle. We were extremely comfortable for our week. We would receive this little jewel

!! That is how we describe our stay at Chilowan . A stunning property in a fantastic location. We have stayed at a lot of Sykes cottages and this by far the best. Spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. Easy car journeys to explore North Cornwall and beautiful walks along the coastal path or on the local beach . The views from Chilowan and the sunsets are Wow. Lovely communication from the owners, even sent the handbook prior to our visit which is really useful in planning your stay. We have already booked for 2026 and can't wait to return. Tim & Louise.

What a stay!

Chilowan is absolutely gorgeous and just what we needed and hoped for as a relaxing peaceful getaway. The welcome was so lovely with little surprises to make us feel at home. Ed and Jude even went the extra mile for us as it was leading up to Christmas! The house was spotless, the big bath is amazing, the underfloor heating really luxurious, and the bed was so comfy with lovely linens and towels - they had thought of everything! So much so we're going back soon!! Great location to explore Tintagel and the coast path. Lovely to be tucked away here too if you just want to rest/hibernate. Literally the best hosts ever. Thank you for creating this gorgeous retreat <3

Great place to stay, great scenery you won’t be disappointed.

This is a lovely property in a fantastic location.

We stayed here for 7 days and it was beautiful. Very quiet little hamlet which is within 5 minutes from Tintagel and Trebarwith beach. Only negative was it didn't have a coffee machine but that is personal preference! Thank you!

Has a fabulous stay.

We had a fantastic stay the cottage is excellent with everything thought of to make a stay comfortable.

Really great kitchen which is fully equipped. The only thing there were no logs as was stated for first use of log burner . But we bought some as we wanted to use . Loved it would definitely return , our favourite Sykes cottage .

Perfect cottage with everything you could need.

Lovely enclosed garden for the dogs with a friendly resident toad at night (♥️) and fantastic views. Added specialty was the home made scrumptious chocolate cake to welcome us. Have booked again for next year already.

Lovely cottage, very comfortable and suited our stay with the dog.

Welcome cake was much appreciated. The BBQ came in handy as we had great weather too. 20 mins walk to nearest beach with pub and cafe. Good access for exploring the area, about an hour to walk the coastal path to tintagel.

The property was fabulous but we were very disappointed with the garden and garden furniture.

The grass had not been cut and there were so many weeds everywhere.It would be nice to have a couple of loungers too. The sign on the gate needs to be clearer as we passed the property.

Excellent property in a great location with lovely views to the sea.

The quality of the property and everything in it were first class, can't think of anything we lacked. We had 7 days of walking - mainly the coastal path and on 2 days we were able to use local buses that stop directly outside the property - great not to have to use a car, although a car is necessary to get further a field. The information pack in the property, and provided prior to arrival, was very comprehensive. Would highly recommend this property.

Beautiful property and wonderful views really enjoyed our stay

We absolutely loved our stay at Chilowan!

(2 adults, 2 young children and a dog). The house features high quality facilities, we loved the large soft towels, big comfy sofa and crisp cosy bedding. The house was impeccably clean. It is in a fantastic location for visiting a lot of Cornwall, my favourite being St Neclan's Glen which is just around the corner. We also visited The Eden Project, Newquay Aquarium and got the ferry from Rock to Padstow. The beach at Trebarwith Strand is also a great find, with rock pools for the children and dogs. We would definitely return to Chilowan in the future!

I cannot fault the property…immaculate presentation…warm welcome.

The owners have thoughtfully considered their guests needs. I have already recommended ‘Chilowan’ to friends and neighbours. Just a short drive into Tintagel…nice and quiet at this time of year with unusual Christmas gifts at reasonable prices. I would imagine that it is a beautiful location in the summer….away from crowds…where you can relax in various seating areas. Thank you . Elizabeth.

A stunning, spacious home to stay in.

Immaculate throughout and very well equipped. Well positioned with beautiful views! Arrived to fresh flowers, milk in the fridge and a home made cake. We would definitely recommend!

Facilities were top quality, beds very comfortable, fantastic views, beautiful furnishings, safe garden for our dog.

Plenty of room for our 2 vehicles. Excellent place.
