Kirland

Kirland is a lovely property in a very peaceful location.

It is clean and comfortable, with enough space/bathrooms/hot water for 7 adults plus baby.

I enjoyed the comfortable stay at Kirlands with family.

The gardens are extensive and beautiful. The comfortable house is maintained to high standard with ongoing improvements. Kirland is set in a beautiful rural landscape. The property is well placed to discover some of the best coastal walks and attractions that Cornwall has to offer. I have stayed at Kirlands on many occasions and look forward to returning again.

We have just spent a magical Christmas at Kirland.

The house is fabulous. Everything works, lots of hot water, cosy lounge with wood burner, sun room great for wildlife watching, comfy beds and huge bath to relax in. We loved the gardens and waking up to spectacular sunrises and frosty mornings and enjoyed equally amazing sunsets. The gardens are gorgeous even in the winter with clematis in flower. Our dogs loved exploring the gardens down to the stream and island. I loved watching the Jackdaws and Rooks coming and going in the Rookery opposite. We visited both local pubs at St Kew and Chapel Austle. Both are recommended. We walked the dogs along the Camel Trail from Wadebridge and a lovely beach walk at Dayner Bay. We really recommend Kirland and would happily revisit any time of year.

this is a large , quiet property with a large garden set in the Cornish countryside.

the house is well laid out, clean , and has been modernised to a high standard. lots of room for parking on driveway and easy access to beaches and local towns albeit some roads are a bit narrow - but that's Cornwall for you.

Everything still good quality and comfortable. Gardens were looking beautiful.

A lovely house in rural location.

We had a lovely stay at Kirland. We arrived a day late due to the awful conditions caused by Storm Bert. On arrival we found that water was dripping through the ceiling in one of the bedrooms. After calling the owner/ property manager, they promptly sent a very nice local builder to assess the situation and he returned the next day to fix the problem. Thank you for your speedy response to this. We hope there is no lasting damage….. Storm Bert certainly made his presence known in Cornwall. However it didnt dampen our spirits nor the wonderful time we had at this beautiful house. The kitchen is very well equipped and spacious, with every utensil you could possibly need. A very social space for all. The lounge was well laid out with comfortable furniture and 2 lovely log burners. Logs were plentiful and free. Upstairs all the bedrooms were well laid out with very comfortable beds and pillows, and the bathrooms are all modern, the hot water was plentiful which is important when several people wish to shower simultaneously. The gardens are super with lots of birds and other wildlife. Our 2 dogs loved the stream at the bottom of the garden!! We visited the farm shop at the top of the lane where they serve lovely coffee and cake as well as breakfasts and lunches, and the shop is well worth a walk to. Kirland is within easy reach of local beaches and Port Isaac, Boscastle etc and its close proximity to the A39 means nowhere is that far. All in all we had a fantastic week at Kirland and would definitely like to return if you will share your lovely house with us again. Thank you.

Very well equipped house, spacious, well-prepared, very comfortable beds and bed linen.

We enjoyed spending time in the beautiful gardens. Can't fault it. We are returning next year.

Lovely peaceful area.

Good location to explore Padstow/Tintagel/Polzeath & Newquay, with 20 - 40 minute drives all of these were in easy reach. Clean modern bathrooms & beds were very comfortable. Property decor in other areas was dated especially in the lounge. We ended up spending all our time in the kitchen dinner as the tv was newer but also because one of the sofas in the lounge was feather & there were white feathers sticking to everything I don’t normally have problems with anything feather but the lounge seemed to affect my asthma which I can only assume was down to the feathers. Probably a note to the cleaning company that does the change over is we had to clean the fridge before using it so worth making sure this is included in the change over clean. That aside we did have a lovely stay & the gardener who came one day was a lovely chap. We would stay again.

We had a great stay at Kirland.

The house was large and spacious, and in a lovely quiet location. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery/pot/pans and a nice big dining table that seated us all. Bedrooms were clean and comfortable, and bathrooms were modern and clean. The large enclosed garden was ideal with two dogs, and it was great to be able to sit outside on the warmer days. It was a lovely place to get the family together.

Nice property shame about the cleanliness and there was no mop.

The inside of kitchen draws where full of dust so had ro clean things before use.

Everything you needed. It was lovely and warm, the log burner the tv end of the lounge was superb, in fact one of my party are considering getting one as a replacement their existing log burner, it was so good.

We made the most of the very welcoming house as the weather was generally wet, our grandchildren loved exploring the gardens and stream and our party of 10 were warm and comfortable. We will definitely book for next year.
