    “Could do with some lockable window retainers for the living room and down stairs bedroom.”

    So you can leave the window open at night with some confidence they can't be opened from the outside. As these windows are at knee height outside, we were left feeling a little vulnerable if we'd left them open at night. So had them on the latch. Very hot nights. Other than that the stay was amazing. Thank you.

The property

Newlyn is a three bedroom house with two stories that is tucked away in the corner of the main Tresooth Cottages courtyard.

Newlyn, which is tastefully decorated throughout, is a fantastic option for groups of friends and family searching for a peaceful Cornish base.

After a long trip, unwind in the open-concept living area with a Cornish slate tiled floor by cuddling up on the sofa and watching TV.

The kitchen is well-equipped with all the modern conveniences needed for a short break, while the dining space is ideal for mealtimes.

Dust off those cookbooks and head there.

Three lovely bedrooms are available for you to select from when you want to get some rest, including two doubles, one with an en-suite shower, and a twin with an en-suite shower on the ground floor.

Go outside and relax on the patio while seated on the picnic bench and sipping your preferred beverage.

All year round, Newlyn is an excellent base for a Cornish retreat.

FALMOUTH

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula.
