“A warm and comfortable apartment, spotlessly clean.”

Lovely light and spacious lounge. Pleasant private garden with lovely view across to St Austell. A very peaceful situation and in a good position for exploring the Fowey area and beyond. Our hosts, Dave and Diane, made us feel very welcome and were most helpful. This is our 4th stay in a Sykes cottage and we have always been very satisfied with the quality.

Ideal for small families or couples, this cottage is well-presented with lovely features, making a delightful base to return to any time of day.

The lounge/diner is a homely place to relax or enjoy a delicious meal, as you admire the views towards the front private garden.

A breakfast bar is a nice addition to the layout, an ideal spot to rest and plan your adventures for the afternoon.

As the night draws in, cosy up in the king-size double bedroom, which promises a peaceful night’s sleep, with a zip/link option should you wish to make use of this.

Lastly a shower room boasts a double shower, finishing the retreat’s interior.

Safe, sandy beaches lie close to the village, with a variety of water sports and leisure activities available.

The attractive waterside village of Fowey is just three miles away, from here there are some dramatic cliff walks to Gribbin Head, passing through much of Daphne du Maurier’s familiar landscape.
