Lynne “A very warm welcome on arrival at Jenny Wren.”
We were made to feel at ease & Dianne & Dave are lovely people. No pomp & circumstance just real. OK, the kitchen is small but for goodness sake, we are on holiday, do we want washing machines, tumble dryers, freezers cos we know we dont. Get out there and enjoy Cornwall. OK, if the weather is bad then Jenny Wren can occupy us with books, jigsaws, games, DVDs etc. Yes, it is in the middle of an estate but the view from the kitchen is amazing especially at sunset. The garden is private and in the summertime it must be a joy to sit outside and enjoy the evening. The lounge/dining area is so comfortable. Bedroom has plenty of wardrobe/drawer space and a lovely comfy bed. A totally relaxing holiday. Tesco not too far, Harris butchers not to be missed and the local shop. If you want Blackpool etc dont come to Jenny Wren.

Katharine “Jenny Wren was a very peaceful, comfortable and well kept holiday home.”
Host Dianne and Dave very helpful. Well situated to explore the area

Janet “The property was of a very high standard indeed.”
The kitchen area, although small had all the necessary equipment that you would have in your own home. The bathroom is small, but has a great shower space, which we appreciated. The furniture quality was lovely and it was great to have a king size bed. The views from the kitchen and garden were stunning. It was nice to have some outside space even though the weather when we visited was not great. It was so peaceful as well. One thing to consider is that the property has steps from the kitchen/bedroom area to the lounge, so may not be suitable for people with mobility issues.

Jill “Lovely apartment cleverly created from the original garage and a part of the owner's house.”
Felt very private and was surprisingly quiet for a housing estate. Friendly and helpful hosts. Spotlessly clean. Two suggestions to improve: the fridge is nearing its use by date, and you need an electric towel radiator in the shower room separate from the central heating, as this doesn't come on in summer. Damp towels for a week! The local pub serves really good meals too.
- Jill, June 2024Thank you for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The fridge is PAT tested once a year by a qualified electrician, we also check and clean this ourselves at every changeover. We aim to be as environmentally friendly as possible, however will take your suggestions into consideration when making any changes to the shower-room. We supply a clothes airer indoors and a washing line externally. Thank you for sharing your comments and suggestions. Property Owner

Wendy “Jenny Wren is an ideal holiday accommodation.”
It is clean and comfortable with the added bonus of a pleasant garden. A perfect location for visiting across Cornwall. David and Dianne are perfect hosts. We would definitely recommend.

Jennifer “Jenny Wren is a really comfortable accommodation, spotlessly clean.”
Kitchen fully fitted out with very modern appliances. Lounge very comfortable, a great supply of books, puzzles and games. Bedroom was most agreeable, linen beautifully laundered. Bed very comfortable. Plenty of storage space for clothing. Shower room of a very high specification, hot water always available, again a very modern up to date shower. Use of the garden was a great bonus to unwind after long days out. The New Inn public house, just a very short walk away, offering good food with a specials board changing daily. David & Dianne most attentive hosts, made us feel very welcome to their home. Thank you for a fabulous holiday.

Eddie “Jenny Wren was perfect for our need as a base for visiting the sights of Cornwall.”

Carol “The property is ideally situated - in a quiet location with its own parking and within easy reach of many delightful days out.”
Jenny Wren is spotlessly clean, very well-equipped (absolutely everything you might need!) and surprisingly spacious - more so than the average holiday apartment. The hosts are friendly and helpful and go the extra mile to ensure you have a happy, comfortable stay.

David “A wonderful place for a relaxing holiday.”
Situated in a lovely Village, within walking distance of local pubs, shops and Par beach. Great base for walking South West Coast path and exploring Cornwall by car. We received a warm welcome from the owners who are lovely and genuine. The accommodation is well equipped, with a beautiful garden and views to countryside.
- David, June 2023 -
J “Jenny Wren was a very comfortable and welcoming property to holiday in, particularly as the weather was not kind to us being cold, windy and rainy on most days, but we were cosy and warm.”
The views from the kitchen window are lovely across the garden and valley. The owners were helpful and easy to talk to. The pub is only a 5 min downhill walk as is the small village shop opposite. The beach is walkable too but you do need to take into account Tywardreath is set on a hill above Par. It is ideally located to visit both the north and south coasts too.

Accommodation was spacious, spotless and well equipped with the most fantastic view from the breakfast bar in the kitchen. Own entrance and parking space. Good pub, village shop, butchers, fish & chip shop and bus stop a quarter of a mile away, downhill going but all up hill on the way back.

Kevin “Excellent holiday apartment for 2 in a quiet residential area of the village - hosts were perfect - there if needed but didn't intrude.”
Ideal location for visiting Fowey, Polperro and Looe - St Austell also nearby, its brewery visitor centre is highly recommended. The excellent Eden Project is also located an easy drive away but be very careful about following your Sat Nav from the cottage as it might use lanes that are not suitable... Par village has a Co-op, Spar, Post Office and the highly recommended Yummy Scrummy Bakery Café.
- Kevin, September 2019 -
Desmond “Would definitely recommend.”
we had a lovely time. Everything we needed, very comfortable and very clean. Lovely cream tea on arrival and made very welcome by the owners David and Diane.
- Desmond, July 2019 -
Paul “The hosts David and Dianne could not have been more welcoming.”
nothing was too much trouble. We agree with all the comments left by previous guests praising the apartment and its owners. The bus services were reliable and convenient meaning that the car could, in the main be left on the premises and places visited on the bus. A great asset in an area where parking is difficult and expensive. Excellent local pub within walking distance.
- Paul, June 2019 -
Julie “Excellent holiday let.”
Really cannot fault it. Great location to get to Fowey and Mevagissey. Lovely walk from Par beach to Polkerris. All in all a great experience.
- Julie, June 2019 -
Kenneth “A warm and comfortable apartment, spotlessly clean.”
Lovely light and spacious lounge. Pleasant private garden with lovely view across to St Austell. A very peaceful situation and in a good position for exploring the Fowey area and beyond. Lots of coast walks.
- Jeanette, April 2019 -
Christopher “The cottage is ideally placed for all local buses which we used.”
The views from the kitchen window are amazing. We were very lucky to have good weather and were able to sit out in the very pretty garden most days. Even if it is windy the garden is sheltered, it was still very warm. Our hosts were very pleasant and welcoming. Their cottage is modern and a home from home, we could not fault anything. The kitchen had every amenity (except a washer) The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had a good sized shower . We loved it and will be booking again. We were very busy visiting local places but there is still so much to see and do.
- Christopher, March 2019 -
