The property

Positioned in a rural idyll, Mynheer Farm Bowji boasts an enchanting location off the beaten track yet within a 15 minute drive of superb sandy beaches on the North Cornish coast.

Originally a cowshed, this fabulous barn conversion has been transformed into a spacious and homely retreat, ideal for families and couples as a base to explore Cornwall's finest hot spot locations. The open-plan sitting room has comfy sofas and a generous wood burner for cooler evenings.

The bright 'conservatory-feel' dining area overlooks the patio edged by beautiful flower borders and the kitchen is modern and well equipped.

Two country-pretty bedrooms guarantee restful slumber and relaxation, both with pristine en-suite shower rooms.

Spend warm evenings on the private patio - there are two to choose from with tables and chairs for an alfresco brunch, evening glass of fizz or the delicious cream tea - a welcome from the owners.

There are also 5.5 acres of field including a shared, grassed picnic area with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside, a fabulous space for outdoor fun with the family Within this quiet location it's the perfect place to sit and enjoy the trappings of country life.

Adjacent to the owner's home and another holiday property, the accommodation is all on ground level.

A short drive will take you to the beaches at Portreath and Porthtowan, with cafes and surf schools.

Within a 30 minute drive are the resorts of St Ives, with picturesque harbour, charismatic St Agnes, maritime Falmouth and the cathedral city of Truro.

The local family friendly village pub, which offers good food, and the open air amphitheatre at Gwennap Pit, which holds concerts in summer, are within easy walking distance of Mynheer Farm Bowji.

The local area is steeped in mining history and is a walkers and cyclists paradise with scenic landscape to explore from the doorstep.

Falmouth 10.5 miles; St Ives 16 miles.

Redruth is a small town in Cornwall, dating in parts from the 12th century. It was once the centre of Cornish mining history and is now at the heart of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There is a selection of shops, pubs and eateries, and the town holds a variety of continental markets throughout the year. Attractions close to Redruth include the Carn Brea Trail, The Great Flat Load, which is fantastic for cyclist and dog walkers alike, Tolgus Tin Stream Works, and the Tehidy Country Park. The beach at Portreath is a 10 minute drive, or 2.5 miles from Redruth. The entire stunning North coast is a suburb playground for surfing and all watersports, with resorts such as St Ives, Falmouth, the Roseland Peninsula and the whole Lizard Peninsula within easy reach. A superb destination for your Cornish holiday.
