“Sadly things did not start well as we arrived at 2.”

45pm and the cleaners were still in the building. We sat outside for 45 mins. Nice ladies and not their fault as it seems they were short staffed. We would have expected a little more of a welcome pack and as the property is some 2 miles from shops a pack of biscuits is not really going to help out. So after a 9 hr journey we were then off to the supermarket. There was no information pack within the property providing Wi-Fi details and any other local information and not one of our mobile phones ...

There was no information pack within the property providing Wi-Fi details and any other local information and not one of our mobile phones had a reception anywhere short of the main road at the end of the driveway. The Roundabout near the property seemed to attract Drifter Car enthusiasts that took to wheel spinning around it in the middle of the night. The property is spacious with adequate facilities however due to close proximity to trees etc there were a few insects around and due to the rushed cleaning, a fair few spiders webs at high level in the bathroom. The property had inadequate waste storage as when we arrived the general waste bin was half filled and by the end of the week bags needed to be left at the side. We were also only provided with one bin liner for the internal Bin, and two toilet rolls with no spares. The Parking was only suitable for three cars not four as advertised. It was lucky that one car left from our party the day that another car was arriving from the adjacent Stall 1. I am afraid that the beds were awfully uncomfortable for all of us. You could actually feel the springs in the mattresses and i don’t think any of us had a good night’s sleep. One word of advice to the Property owner would be to put in quality mattresses as a good night’s sleep is necessary to our Mental wellbeing. When our numbers were reduced to Four from seven the spare quilts from the single beds were used as mattress toppers, so it did make a better night’s sleep for a couple of us on the final night. There was only one tea Towel provided and for seven people for seven nights this we felt was inadequate. The Crockery and cutlery provision was limited to eight settings with one knife short. There is no shelving within the Bathrooms and Kitchen to put things on so you end up using the Worktops, skirting and window shelves as shelving. A Fan would also be an advantage as hot summer nights under a metal roof can be uncomfortable. The property has a good outside fenced and generally private seating area for those social evenings. A Large Fridge freezer was also appreciated and was an advantage for us as a large group. A further advantage of the property was that it is centrally located in Cornwall and therefore most destinations are no more than 45 mins away.
