Auverne

This was our third stay at Auverne, which we again greatly enjoyed.

The house is large and comfortable, and is very well appointed with all you could need. It is also perfectly situated for trips around both North Devon and Cornwall, with many villages and attractions being within easy striking distance. We stayed here as a family, with our children and grandchildren, and would definitely recommend it.

An absolutely ideal house for the whole family.

we had the entire set with 2 of us over 66, an almost 60, 2 in their mid 30s and 2 babes under 2 and a half. Our weather was awful, but the house was a cosy base to get the most out of visits to the Eden Project, Newquay Aquarium and the blowy seafront walks. Would love to come back to the Bude area in better climes sometime in the next couple of years. PS - our host Jenna could not have been more welcoming.

Lovely family holiday, the Auverne had everything we needed.

The beds were comfortable, the home was clean and the views were beautiful. Secure garden for our children and dog to run and play. Great base for exploring the local area. We had a lovely stay and would 100% recommend to family and friends.

Lovely house, very clean and fresh.

Fully equipped with everything we needed. Comfortable beds. Plenty of seating. Spacious garden. Wonderful views. Very well located for beaches, seaside and countryside walking, places of interest and many pubs and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Very cold in attic room,could do with some blankets in wardrobe so they are there if needed apart from that we had a very nice stay

This was our second visit to Auverne and we found it to be just as good as the first.

So much so, that we've just booked to go back again next year!

We all had a great week we all thought the property was well presented in a excellent location and we all agreed we would revisit

We all agreed it was a really wonderful place to stay. Plenty of space and very homely, it was a pleasure to be there. We had everything we needed, thanks to the care they have taken to ensure visitors are well catered for. The Games Room was a bonus for the children and adults alike. Auverne is in a wonderful location with a beautiful outlook from the kitchen. And everywhere is so accessible – we visited the local beaches as well as all the fabulous places on offer to visitors, in that area of Cornwall.

Really lovely house with lots of space, great outdoor space and kids loved the pool/table tennis room (and adults!

) great location quick easy drive to our favourite Widemouth bay beech. We love bude and come every year will definitely book again. Owners are also fabulous very helpful and accommodating thanks so much we had a wonderful time.

The owners were proactive & emailed useful information before our holiday, they also sent a text message on our arrival day which was much appreciated The nearest beach is too far to walk with children & there is no path on the small & windy road so you do really need to drive.

The kitchen was well equipped, but the bottom draw of the freezer was difficult to push back in because of the ice underneath. The ensuite shower water pressure was low & the temperature was irratic. There is a piece of metal pertruding in the garden which we noticed after the grass was cut. We did report both these issues to the owners so I am sure they will be rectified. Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay, the property has plenty of room for a family of 7, & having a big garden was definitely beneficial. There is plenty to do & there are some really nice beaches to choose from.

Auvergne is a lovely spacious property especially for a large family ot two families to share.

Its very clean and very well maintained. The garden is ideal for sitting out in. Closest beaches are excellent. Already booked for 2023, this will be our third stay here.

Everything was in good order and working as it should.

Only issue was that one of the settees in the lounge was very low indeed and for my wife and I (both over 70 and with poorly backs) it was a mission to get up and down. It was the one in front of the log fire which given the time of year was where we wanted to sit and be cosy in the evenings. Otherwise everything was great and a super base to explore the surrounding area.

Lovely clean, comfortable house.

Can't believe how nice it was!! It had everything we needed plus some. Dining area in the conservatory which was very pleasant to sit it. The living room was delightful and the garden was absolutely lush. Nice area to visit. A lovely walk from the holiday home to Millook Haven. This is one of the very best holiday homes we have stayed in and we've stayed in many!! Can't recommend enough.

Fabulous house great location

The whole family loved our stay.

The house was spacious and we didn't feel cramped at all, also lovely and light. Plenty of outside space for four very active grandchildren, who loved the garden and watching the rabbits who came into the garden every morning and watching the sheep in the field behind the garden. The garden has enough space for a gentle kick about with a ball which the children loved, plenty of car parking on the driveway. The area is very quite with some really lovely gentle walks locally. The beaches, which are very good are no more than about ten minutes drive away with restaurants and toilets, eccentrical with small children. We especially loved Summerleaze beach in Bude, huge beach with seawater swimming pool, also lovely little rock pools on the beach for the very small members of the family, even some of the older members of the family! Would go again anytime. Thanks to the very helpful owners.

We had a lovely holiday the only thing I didn't feel was safe was the decking with no hand rails as it was quite a drop.

Location is ideal.

Property good for large family group. Lots of useful information provided by the owner. Looking forward to returning next year.

The holiday cottage was perfect very clean, kitchen was very equipped lovely views from the large well looked after garden.

Amazing house!

Close to some amazing beaches. We could even see the ocean from the front room. Comfy beds. Every amenity you could think of had been included and eco friendly touches. We loved our stay and didn’t want to leave!
