    “We have just returned from a wonderful stay at 2 Stonerush Cottages in Cornwall, and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better holiday.”

    From the moment we arrived, everything felt friendly, welcoming, and relaxing. The cottage itself was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into making it feel like a home away from home. The setting was absolutely stunning. Nestled amongst the trees with the river flowing beneath us, it was incredibly peaceful and tranquil. Sitting outside listening to the water and enjoying the beautiful surroundings made it the perfect place to unwind and escape from everyday life. The private hot tub was a real highlight of our stay. It was well maintained, secluded, and provided the perfect way to relax after a day exploring Cornwall. We would also like to give special thanks to Amanda from the bar and restaurant. She was incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond for us. When we decided at very short notice that we wanted to stay for an extra night, Amanda worked her magic and managed to arrange it for us. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and her excellent customer service made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable holidays we have had. We would highly recommend 2 Stonerush Cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings, and we can't wait to return.

About the location

LANREATH

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
