    “I have been here 3 times.”

    It’s my favourite place to go to for some rest and family time. My children aged 11 and 15 love how peaceful it is. The staff are really friendly and there are some lovely scenic walks and Looe is not far away for a day at the beach.

Surrounded by woodland, tranquil lakes and unspoilt Cornish countryside, this secluded lodge rests at the heart of the Stonerush Lakes resort, just a short drive from Looe, Polperro and the South Cornwall coastline.

Set within a sizeable, peaceful plot, it provides privacy, space and a strong sense of escape, making it well-suited to couples and families looking to slow the pace while still enjoying a convenient location.

Inside, the lodge feels light and spacious, with floor‑to‑ceiling windows that frame views across the valley and draw the outdoors in.

The open‑plan living space is arranged for year‑round stays, featuring considered furnishings, deep seating, and a wood burner for cooler evenings, offering plenty of room to relax together after exploring.

Large doors open directly onto the private decked terrace, encouraging an easy transition between indoor living and time outside.

Here, guests can dine alfresco beside the stream, unwind in the sunken hot tub beneath the trees, or simply sit back and take in the surrounding woodland, from early‑morning birdsong to the stillness at dusk.

The kitchen is well equipped for self‑catering, while The Old Mill Bar & Restaurant, set beside the lake and just a gentle walk away, offers wood‑fired pizzas, familiar favourites and handcrafted cocktails, served by an onsite team often praised by returning guests.

Footpaths and woodland trails can be joined straight from the doorstep, while the wider area provides classic Cornish highlights within easy reach.

Spend time exploring the narrow lanes of Polperro, enjoying the beach and harbour at Looe, or visiting Fowey, the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

LANREATH

Pelynt 2 miles; Looe 5 miles; Polperro 6 miles.

Lanreath is a village in southeast Cornwall, five miles west of Looe. Lanreath is rural in character with a local shop and Post Office as well as a parish church. There are a number of ghost stories associated with Lanreath. The best-known features a ghost in black driving a coach pulled by a headless horse. Nearby Pelynt is home to a parish church, a number of local shops and pubs, especially the Jubilee Inn, which was an original farmhouse dating back to the 16th Century. Looe is Cornwall’s second largest fishing port and hence there is always a lively maritime bustle around the quay area of East Looe, which is connected to the quieter West Looe by a seven arched 19th century bridge over the River Looe. The sandy Looe beach adjoins the pier and is very popular with families because of its safe shallow swimming and vast expanse of sand. Polperro is a little further away and is a historic fishing village nestling at the head of a long valley leading down to the sea. With plenty of areas to visit, Lanreath is a quiet, pleasant place offering easy access to the coast, the moors, National Trust properties and Cornwall's famous gardens.
