Cobblestone Cottage

Lovely cottage close to town centre and beach, loved the welcoming homemade cake and flowers.

This is a great little cottage ideally situated for a holiday in Bude.

Very centrally located in the town - near shops , cafes etc. 10 minutes walk to beach. Nice quiet street. No parking - we used the Coop car park ( 2 minutes walk away ) for less than £30 for the week. Owner is very helpful and left lovely welcome pack. Cottage was very clean on arrival. Many extras provided ( eg children’s beach toys ). Lovely courtyard garden with furniture and a great utility space - washer / dryer. All rooms are comfortable ( a set of drawers in twin rooms would have been useful). Nice bedding and comfortable beds. Kitchen has all you need in it. Lots of quality plates etc too. The bathroom is small - for us it was manageable but for some it could be a concern . The WiFi was sadly not very good . There is also evidence of some damp ( which recognise is common in these cottages ) and we did have a very strong sewage odour at times. We were though there in very high temperatures which may have contributed.

Beautiful cottage with everything you could need.

However, several key safety features were missing, one of which would have prevented the fall down the stairs which ended in a broken wrist for me. There is no movement sensitive light in the upstairs hall, only part of a hand rail on the staircase, painted stairs with no safety treads, a slippery showery tray and no bath mat and no grab rail in the shower. I wanted to highlight these safety concerns for the benefit of future guests.

We stayed at cobblestone cottage Bude for a week and had a great time.

The cottage very comfortable and facilities were very good .The only problem we found was the front door lock was hard to open and lock up when going out we applied some oil and this helped but it could do with a new lock.

Lovely cottage in a great location.

Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Would definitely return

Comfortable and central in Bude.

Very helpful owners. No parking at the house, but easy to arrange and find (out of school holidays). House and yard are multi-level with steps. Downstairs toilet useful. Very pleasant stay.

We had problems with the house and SYKES did not respond at all the first days.

We got one mail and they didn't come back to us until today. Owners responded very friendly right away. Toilet flush didn't work. We had to repair it. Didn't work properly the whole time, not nice at all. We didn't receive compensation for that. The kitchen is nice. The house was probably due to rain quite smelly. The house especially the extremely small bathroom need overdoing. For a Person of nearly 2 metres not suitable.

Beautiful place to stay very clean great location would ho back again

Wonderful cottage, perfectly located for Bude and the beaches.

The cottage is well equipped and beautifully decorated, and so cosy in the evenings after a day in the sea air.

Lovely little cottage.

Well thought out and well equipped. Convenient to town and peaceful at night. Access and parking is a bit tricky in the cul-de-sac. There are two good car parks very close but parking overnight is expensive.

Lovely cottage, smack in the middle of beautiful Bude.

Well maintained and cosy. I particularly loved the stunning landscapes in the bedrooms of the sea pool and beach huts. Only one complaint. The TV in the sitting room was ridiculously hard to navigate. The scroll button didn't work, making it impossible to scroll down through the channels in the listings. You had to put a number in every time you wanted to change channels, which was very tiresome.

Cobblestone is a great cottage right in the centre of Bude.

It is comfortable and has all that is needed to enjoy your holiday. Even though parking was not allowed outside in Kings Road a car park was within a few minutes walk .

Quiet Cul de Sac in the centre.

Easy walking distance to shops, beach and eateries.
