    “We really loved the location of the property and it was nice and clean when we arrived.”

    There was a problem with the front door on the Friday night when the storm started , the wind kept blowing the door open so we needed to lock it. We ended up looking after the two cat's for the week , We don't own cat's so you'll find cat food in the cupboard. They were great on their own but the smaller one kept aggravating the other one. We was out most days but there wasn't much sound from the farm that disturbed us. It was nice to see some of the farm vehicles and the cows. Nice welcome ...

The property

This stone built barn can be found within the grounds of 200 acre Lee Barton Farm, two miles from Kilkhampton.

Inside you'll find smart, cosy accommodation.

The living space is open plan and has a comfortable seating area for four people as well as a neat dining area and well equipped kitchen.

On the ground floor is an attractive double bedroom and bathroom, whilst on the first floor is a gallery bedroom with twin beds nestled under the eaves.

Outside there are extensive grounds and woodlands to explore, including a children's playfield and picnic area.

Away from the hustle and bustle, yet close to beaches, this property is ideal for families with children or friends seeking a traditional Cornish holiday.

Lee Barton Farm

Amidst beautiful countryside, close to the North Cornwall coast is Lee Barton Farm. Family run for generations, you're assured of a warm welcome. Explore the 10 acres of woods and grounds or relax with a picnic around one of the pretty wildlife ponds. The National Trust's Duckpool, a remote beach with rock pools overlooked by cliffs is just 2 miles by road or can be reached via a picturesque walk leading from the farm. Nearby Bude has two further excellent sandy beaches and a good selection of cafes, pubs, shops and restaurants.

Kilkhampton is an historic Cornish village, 4 miles from the popular Victorian seaside resort of Bude, one of Cornwall’s premier holiday locations. With its old church, village shops and atmospheric village pubs, Kilkhampton is a lovely place to relax after a hard day exploring the stunning beaches and spectacular coastal scenery for which the area is famous. Bude’s beaches attract surfers from all over the country and when conditions are right you’d be hard pushed to find better surf. When the tide is out, miles of golden sand and hundreds of rock pools keep visitors occupied for hours. The South West Coast Path, and many other rights-of-way winding over the clifftops and through lush green fields looking out over the sea, make this area a haven for walkers and lovers of the open countryside. For those who prefer staying closer to home, a good shopping centre and a selection of pubs, two clubs and restaurants are on offer. Bude canal, a registered nature reserve, passes through the town, and rowing a boat along its calm waters or walking the towpath among the beautiful (and friendly) water fowl that live among the reeds is a great way to spend an hour or two. Within the area there are also 2 golf courses, an indoor swimming pool, bowling alley at the leisure centre. A perfect location for all that North Cornwall has to offer.
