Cottage was well laid out, had everything you could need, lovely play area for children.

The Shippon is a wonderful place to stay.

Clean, comfortable good value and well placed for all that north Cornwall has to offer, with a beach just down the road. Jonathan is a genial host, who is very responsive. While we were there the WiFi went down (BT fault). Jonathan was on to it immediately and got the signal restored. We would most definitely stay there again.

What a peaceful nights sleep. Beds are comfy and facilities are great. Water pressure is not the best but manageable

We were welcomed soon after our arrival by the friendly owner to this beautiful cottage.

It is really spacious - the photos don’t do it justice. It is well equipped,clean, comfy beds, fluffy towels, the owners have thought of everything. Great to have 3 bathrooms too. We would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in an area where it is easy to reach many lovely beaches and attractions.

Water pressure was very low in the showers took a long time to wash hair and when another 7 people are waiting it took a long time.

However Johnathan did come to us and say he was having it looked at . The fire alarm is super sensitive, we stayed last year so knew what to do . But this year even the toaster made it go off , which really stopped us eating at the cottage and using the oven . However we had a lovely time and will be back next year

Nicely laid out property.

All things thought of. Didnt realise there was a dishwasher so that was a nice surprise. Comfy beds, great layout and bathrooms. Only thing that let it down was the water pressure in the shower. Which was a real shame as everything else was perfect for us.

Highly recommended and wonderful place to stay, plenty of room for 6 adults (plus there were two beds unused).

Appliances, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans were all there and in plenty - and a dishwasher. The surrounding area is beautiful and despite being next to a working farm the area was quiet and serene. We had a chat with the owner on our arrival and being local he knew all the places to visit. The only one very slight thing is the water pressure at the showers was very low. Bring your own shower stuff and creams as it is not provided.

We had a lovely stay at the Shippon, it was perfect for what we wanted, the only grumble would be the water pressure, after walking the south west coast path all day it would have been nice if there was a bit of pressure behind it, we made do all the same.

The beds were very comfortable and I slept really well, the kitchen had everything you would need, all in all it was very enjoyable and I would definitely stay again.

Very clean and well equipped kitchen facilities.

Beds very comfortable with crisp clean linen and a pile of fluffy towels. Perfect for our large family. Very peaceful and a lovely children's play area too. All rooms en-suite and spacious with a spacious living area. Everything we needed, thank you.

We had a lovely time, perfect size space for two families over New Year!

Great to have things like dishwasher tabs, tea towels, salt and pepper, tea, biscuits, milk etc all left for us. Would recommend

Booked the Shippon to accommodate visiting family over Christmas.

Owners made us most welcome, providing extra table seating so that all 12 of us could eat together. Also a decorated Christmas tree and some 'goodies' added a welcoming touch. Cooking facilities totally adequate for preparing full Christmas roast and vegetarian dishes at the same time. Altogether ideal for our Christmas family gathering. Thank you.

Lovely cottage no real complaints.

Just maybe a bigger freezer compartment. We struggled with just the 4 adults. Also a mat in the showers. And maybe a mat or two in front of the sink and cooker as floor got very slippery . lastly a frying pan that has not lost its non_stick. None of these spoilt are stay and would recommend it and even return.

The cottage was great.

All of the space and equipment we needed. The only issue we had was that there seemed to be no water pressure in amy of the showers. Also one shower had no hot water.

The Shippon was well appointed with lots of room and was very comfortable.

There was an area outside to sit and eat. There were gardens and a play area too. The property owners were friendly and helpful. Although it was part of a working farm it was relatively peaceful and set in the beautiful Cornish countryside. We enjoyed our stay very much and so did the dog. We would definitely visit again and recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Shippon, the three bedrooms are a good size all with ensuit and very comfortable beds, the living room was comfortable with a large table so easy to all eat together and play games on in the evening, the kitchen was well kitted out with complimentary tea and biscuits, there is great outside space good for picnics in the warmer weather and for walks etc even if the sun doesn't shine.

The owners are friendly and happy to sort any issues you may have straight away. I would thoroughly recommend this property for a family holiday.

The main issue is the flies!

I guess you have to expect that being on a farm..... The other problem was not having an area where you could open the door and let the dog out and know he was safe. the back garden is open onto other cottages and the farm. Smaller issue the toilet seat in the front bedroom ensuite, kept falling apart, not helpful at 3 o'clock in the morning! Otherwise house was adequate.

A great property, worked great for us wit the large bedrooms and bathroom in each bedroom.

Great open plan kitchen/living room great with children. Only negative points. Showers lacking in pressure. Floor a bit creaky upstairs. Slats in one bed broken, but we didn't need so not an issue for us. But a great holiday home, would stay again.

The house was perfect for us 4 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of room, 3 bathrooms, comfy beds and all the facilities anyone could need. The location was peaceful yet still well placed to access other areas of Cornwall. The price was very reasonable as well we are already planning our next visit.

The shippon, is a delightful comfortable, cottage.

Very well stocked, with everything you will need. The roads are quite narrow, leading to the property, but manageable. The flies are a bit of a problem, but expected on, on a working farm. Take fly spray with you. Over the weeks stay, we had a wonderful time

Beautiful cottage, well-kitted out kitchen and large, spacious and comfortable living area.

Comfortable beds, and clean, functional bath/shower rooms. Lovely gardens and seating areas! Our hosts were very helpful and friendly, and would have sorted any issues should we have needed - this was not required! One negative: Flies were prevalent (as mentioned in a prior review by another customer) - but could easily be improved substantially with some fly paper downstairs (not an issue at all upstairs). Baking scales didn't work.

The cottage itself was nice and the beds were comfortable with nice fresh bedding.

Unfortunately we couldn't open a window or any of the doors because of the amount of flies that kept getting in. I can only assume because the cow sheds are right next door the fly problem was due to that but it was horrible, they're we're hundreds buzzing round permanent it really ruined the accommodation for us. The roads getting to the farm were more like wide footpaths and became quite a nuisance, it felt everywhere was so far away and we couldn't hang out at the cottage because of the flies. Overall the cottage itself was nice but location was too isolated and the farm itself was not somewhere you wanted to hang out. The farmer was lovely and helpful though, he seems a really nice guy.

Excellent property.

Spacious and comfortable. Great for families AND pet friendly. There were only 2 items of note (NOT negatives): 1. There were no handles on the bath, preventing my elderly relative from using it. 2. The "roads" to reach the property from the main road were a nightmare! Despite this, it is still a 5 Star experience. We loved it, and would go back again.

The cottage was absolutely lovely, owners very welcoming.

So spacious comfortable, clean and tidy really enjoyed the whole experience. The kids loved seeing the cows and wildlife around. Would definitely stay here again.

An ideal base for exploring North Cornwall.

Great position close to the coast.

Friendly owners wholesale have run the holiday accommodation for many years. Water pressure is very low so the shower was more of a dribble. Other than that we were very happy with the property android will probably return in the future.

Comfy and interesting property, with pleasant rural view to the front.

Owners are very friendly and helpful. Great location within a few minutes drive to wonderful walks along the coastal path from Duckpool. A tumble drier would have been useful for the rainy weather! Hope to be back again soon.

Firstly, thank you for letting us stay, the farm is in a lovely location and was just what we needed.

The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and the overall cost was great value. A few minor improvements such as new mattresses throughout (so you can't feel the springs) and an electric water pump (so that the showers are more than a drip) and the property would be unbeatable.

The Shippon is part of a group of barns converted into holiday accommodation on a working farm so in the winter expect farmyard smells!

It has a large open plan ground floor with a well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable and the showers a decent size. Parking is immediately in front of the accommodation which has a dual aspect overlooking open fields to the front and a courtyard with shrubs, seating and washing lines to the rear. It’s quiet and peaceful yet only a few miles from Bude. It is accessed via typical Cornish lanes; single track road for about 2.5 miles with steep banks, high hedges and limited passing places but once you reach the farm you have open views over the countryside. Very pleasant stay and the farmer was friendly and welcoming.

We loved the accommodation but the roads to and from are more like tracks with only one car at a time and reversing very difficult if you do meet another vehicle.

No lights which made us apprehensive of going out at night. We knew it was on a farm which wouldn't be on a main route but this was More off the the beaten track and took along and winding road to get onto a main road. We feel this should be advised in the accommodation information.

Beautiful countryside location with plenty of garden space to enjoy.

The friendly owners were always on hand for any help if required. Very spacious and comfortable accommodation in ideal location for visiting Bude and other beauty spots.

It was great perfect week, perfect location.

Big family open plan room was great. Close to loads of beaches and walks on the doorstep.

Lovely bedroom and bathrooms.

Fresh white bedding. Lovely and clean. However only one bath towel and hand towel per person per week. Luckily we had taken spares. Friendly welcome from the owner. TV in the lounge was probably past it’s best. Sound was fuzzy. But these are just minor issues . We enjoyed our stay and would return. Many thx

The Shipping was fantastic in a rural location, working farm.

Just a couple of minor tweaks could make this place superb. The matresses are tired and need upgrading. This is really important for a restful family holiday. All the beds had springs that could be felt quite prominently. Hot water was an issue and the water pressure was extremely low. Needed an outside hose to clean down wetsuits as in a coastal surfing location . We still had a great time and the farm was great, Jonathan the farmer was very friendly and visited several times. Walking in the area is beautiful. But it needs a few changes to make it superb. We would come back for sure.

The whole experience was great from the easy check in to the welcome pack of milk tea coffee ect.

Not a spec of dirt to be found anywhere. Great for a large family and would highly recommend.

Seclusion was great

Great holiday cottage it took a year longer to visit because of covid but so worth the wait an ideal base for travelling around Cornwall but so much to do right on the door step.

i would say if you don't like farm yard smells or noise then don't book but for me and my family an absolute cracking holiday

The accommodation was beautiful and the owners who we seen when arriving was lovely they also gave us some directions to some beautiful places that was close.

Location was perfect the cottage had everything that you needed as well the biscuits were lovely and the fresh milk helped after a long journey for that much needed drink. Will definitely be booking again. Thank you for a great place to enjoy.

Spacious cottage, well equipped.

Bath sheets a bonus, normally only bath towels so a plus in our book. The Shippon is well situated to travel to lots of destinations up and down the coast. Friendly welcome from the owners on our arrival.

The farmhouse is a lovely place to get away from it all with surfing, cycling and walking on your doorstep.

Lovely cottage with every thing we needed for a relaxing week including local cat who came to say "hello" Friendly owners who are gave us some useful information about the area.

A perfect hideaway from the bustle of summer holiday traffic/ people.

Near enough to beaches and small coves as well as amusements within driving distance i.e arcades/ fishing. Great value for money. Booked again for next year.

The property was very well equipped and a great size.

The farm is a lovely place to base your holiday to North Cornwall, the owner is fantastic, he showed us how the farm operates and the milking of the cows. My two sons really enjoyed learning from him. Duckpool is about 1.5 miles away and great to watch the sunset
