Lovely barn, spotless!

! Very private hosts introduced themselves but did not intrude

This is a gorgeous little cottage which was spotlessly clean on arrival.

It really is tiny but everything is so well planned that we were very comfortable. It’s in a lovely peaceful location not far from the Tamar. We enjoyed our first visit to the area finding plenty to do and see.

Very peaceful property with easy access to river walks, local pubs, places to visit.

Bathroom is done tastefully, as is the rest of the property and is well proportioned and not too cramped. Use of the garden is a huge bonus. Sadly, due to family illness we had to leave early which was a pity as it is such a great spot. We would love to go back and finish our stay there at another time

We stayed for 4 nights and really loved our stay.

The area is beautiful and there are several great places to visit nearby. The nearby train runs to Plymouth or Gunnislake or lovely walks with the maps available for use. The property is well maintained and has all you need for a lovely peaceful stay. Refreshing to see eco products used throughout the property and commitment to recycling. We will stay again.

The Daffodil Shed is a beautiful peaceful place.

The owners, Ruth and Henry, were very helpful and so welcoming. The accommodation was spotless, calming, had lots of space and light - which made it such an happy place to be within, and it also had absolutely everything I needed and more besides. The garden was truly lovely; very well kept and full of birdsong. There were so many excellent walks on the doorstep too. I am so grateful I came here and will definitely be coming again. Many thanks to Ruth and Henry for making my stay such a perfect memory.

We had a wonderful time in this peaceful location.

It was a great base for Greenway and the Eden Project. Enough still left to do for us to come back another time. The garden and accommodation were really thought out and owners were really friendly and helpful.

A lovely little stay in a very quiet setting.

The Daffodil Shed is a comfy cosy stay. We would venture that it is an ideal place for walkers / hikers as there are plenty of walks in and around the area. However transport is needed to get to many other attractions etc. Although there is a rail connection at Bere Alston and really handy for getting about. We ventured into Plymouth on the train, well worth the trip. Very convenient for Dartmoor and slipping over the border into Cornwall.

The Daffodil Shed is a gem.

Comfortable, peaceful wigh a delightful garden, full of birds. We nearly cancelled our stay as my brother unexpectedly died in April and we were unsure of funeral dates. However, his funeral was held a week before our due date to arrive. Staying was the best decision; so peaceful, gave me time to think and relax. Thank you for your warm welcome and the lovely touches in the Daffodil Shed .

Charming property in deep Devon countryside, perfect for a couple to explore the area, especially if walking is your thing!

Property is totally self contained and provides all comforts and amenities needed for a pleasant stay.

Dear Ruth and Henry, thank you so much for a wonderful week we had in your beautiful little cottage.

Such a cosy place with everything you could wish for. And all the little Extras were very much appreciated. And it was so nice to have little chats with Ruth and Henry who are such nice hosts. You can feel that they want the very best for their guests and nothing is too much. And the little garden is so beautiful and a great place just to sit and relax and enjoy nature. And not to forget Floss. The most friendly dog who greeted us with so much happiness every time we came back home. The week went by way too fast and we didn't want to leave. We even got more applejuice from their own trees for the ride back to Germany. It was delicious. So hopefully we can return. We can highly recommend this wonderful place. Absolutely lovely property, everything you could need and a secluded, quiet little garden to enjoy it in.

Hosts were so welcoming and helpful, everything was spotless and the little extras on arrival were very much appreciated after the journey there. Loads on the doorstep so even though we took our kayaks we didn’t get chance to go out in them there were so many other things to do/see! Thank you very much

My wife & I had a very enjoyable experience at the 'Daffodil Shed'.

The owners have thought of everything from, labelling all the switches, providing loads of information about what to see in & around the area and even providing folding 'camping' chairs for use when you go out for the day! The lady looking after the property came & explained everything on our first day and was exceedingly helpful.

Added personal touches and extras in property well received (apple juice from last year's apples delicious). Lovely secluded property, in a beautiful area on the Bere peninsula. Would certainly recommend.

Peaceful location.

So comfortable and clean. Walks from the front door. Firepit was great for evening BBQs. Hosts were friendly.

Lovely people - we spoke with them and if there had been a problem it would have been no problem to fix it.

Lovely place to stay all you'd ever need was supplied, the welcome pack was lovely with local produce from the area.

We had a very pleasant stay at the daffodil shed and felt very welcome.

It is not that Big but everything you can think of is there. It is very Clean and the bed sleeps perfect. It is a perfect place for the Tamarvalley, a visit to Plymouth and for walks in Dartmoor.

We found the Daffodil shed spotlessly clean and comfortable and with all the facilities we needed.

It is in a beautiful and tranquil setting and there was a lot of information about the local area provided by the owners. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and intend to go back there next year..

We had a lovely relaxing holiday at the Daffodil Shed and were welcomed warmly by the owners of the property who have provided a comfortable, well equipped and homely holiday let in such a quiet and peaceful area.

There is lots of information provided about walks and places to visit locally and it is situated in an area rich in industrial history with plenty of walking available, some of it directly from the holiday let or some a short journey in the car to the surrounding villages. It is necessary to drive to Bere Alston to catch a bus or train if you are intending visiting Plymouth or Tavistock. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

An idyllic little cottage in the wonderful Devon countryside.

The owners were extremely accommodating and helpful and the cottage exceeded our expectations.

An amazingly well resourced cottage (beach towels, folding chairs, ground coffee, pens, maps, local events' info to name a very few items of anything you could possibly want!

) in a beautiful setting with friendly and helpful (but not interfering)owners. It's a delightful place to stay; exceptionally comfortable, cleverly designed with somewhere to relax indoors and outdoors with every need catered for, a place to which we will return when we need another holiday.

Beautifully clean and tastefully decorated, with everything we needed, and excellent location. Situated close by where the property owners lived themselves, but we never felt our privacy was compromised, and they were friendly and helpful in every way.

We spent most days sight-seeing around Devon and Cornwall. The highlight of each day was to come back to the Daffodil Shed and sit outside on the patio with the fire pit and locally sourced cider. The Daffodil Shed is a real gem. It feels a lot bigger than it looks in the images so there is plenty of room for two. It is extremely well kitted out, and everything is of good quality. Ruth and Henry were great hosts, went the extra mile, and were always on hand if we needed anything. Thank you!

This is a lovely place to stay - a beautifully decorated cottage with everything one could need for a comfortable stay.

It is located in a peaceful part of Devon somewhat off the main tourist trails, but a local train connnects you with Plymouth and villages such as Calstock - if you wish to visit NT Cotehele/ the village itself. There are lots of interesting local walks from your doorstep too - and plenty of interesting places to go to if you wish to explore. I highly recommend it :))

Daffodil Shed is a perfect place to unwind and relax - so peaceful.

The space has been very well thought out with everything you need for your stay and a few nice personal touches. It's well positioned to get out and explore the wonderful area - lots to do and see. We even went to the Eden Project which was only and hour away. We will defiantly return as there is still more to explore.

With the promise of good weather we booked the Daffodil Shed at the very last minute and we hit the jackpot.

We love, love, loved the ‘shed’ (a tasteful converted barn) and the beautiful area surrounding it, if you love walking then you won’t be disappointed. The delightful owner’s Ruth & Henry made us feel very welcome and we very much look forward to returning one day.

We were made very welcome on arrival with welcome pack in the cottage.

Very friendly owners who maintained our privacy throughout the week but also offered any help with facilities or locations to visit should we request it. The cottage was really excellently equipped with every conceivable item, fresh and clean brand new decor. Nicely located in countryside with pleasant nearby evening walk to the week or short 2 mile drive to Here Ferrers where you can explore the ancient church, quay, 16th C pub, or leave the car FOC at the villagel railway station to catch a train to Tavistock or Plymouth to enjoy a traffic free excursion. I Would thoroughly recommend this cottage as either a nice place to unwind or also as a gateway location to explore nearby Dartmoor. A visit to Buckland Abbey and adjacent The Cottage Gardens is also an essential must do, located nearby.
