Waves Edge

We liked this lovely house with it's amazing views/location and would certainly consider returning in the future.

However, we felt that as the owners were new, maybe they could bear the following in mind to make 'Waves Edge' even better: 1/ The stairs! I'm not sure what can be done about these but as a family of 4 (myself and husband in our mid sixties and daughters in their twenties - all reasonably all healthy and fit - we all found these really challenging - especially in 80 degree heat in June/July. 2/ We were at the house during the heatwave and found ourselves unable to use either the kitchen or dining area - from where the amazing views could mainly be enjoyed - as both were like a greenhouse and suffocatingly hot. We felt that air conditioning and blinds were desperately need for both areas. Cooking in the kitchen was virtually impossible! 3/ The rubbish arrangement. We kept our rubbish in the kitchen until the day we left as the arrangement was that rubbish should be left in a bin in the garage - thereby potentially necessitating constant trips up and down the tortuous steps every day in order to dispose of it. Maybe have a bin in the outside area near the 'snug'? 4/ We could not, however hard we tried, get normal live tv on the very modern 'smart' tv - and both my daughters are very tech savvy! 5/ We noticed that the rental price for the equivalent week next year is currently almost double what we paid for it. We felt that what we paid was accurate and charging any more would be too much for this property - and would not encourage us, or possibly others staying there this year, to return in the future. 6/ On arrival, someone had left a half empty can in the kitchen. maybe cleaners need to be told to check thoroughly when preparing for the next guests. Also, for a relatively expensive property, there was no washing up liquid, washing powder nor bin bags provided - thereby rendering it difficult to for guests to keep it clean and tidy from day 1 of their stay there.

We loved our stay at Waves Edge - a bright, well-positioned property with spectacular views of the sea and a spacious balcony to enjoy it.

The living/dining area was great for shared meals round the table and all the bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. The village seems peaceful and friendly and the beach is just a hop away, perfect for dog and swimmers! We had a minor issue with the shower downstairs, tricky regulating the temperature, but all good otherwise. We were unlucky with the local pub Inn on the Shore who were short staffed and food wasn't great, but there are other good options in the close vicinity.

Our stay at Wavesedge was absolutely luxurious, from the comfortable bedding to the stylish décor every detail was thoughtfully considered by the lovely owners making our stay both comfortable and enjoyable.

The property was very spacious offering plenty of room and peaceful views from the house. It was spotless and we had all the amenities we needed for a perfect stay. I would highly recommend a holiday here whether for a short getaway or an extended stay - it was truly incredible!
