It was conveniently positioned and we had a very enjoyable holiday. Be aware that the kitchen is small - if you are catering for a family which we were not - and - my only complaint - there were NO trays. As all the outside seating areas are away from the house this was a significant nuisance. We had to make several journeys just to have tea outside. Otherwise I cannot fault the accommodation. The house was easy to find and there were very good supplies of cleaning materials.

A very well-maintained holiday cottage, spotlessly clean and very, very comfortable.

Easy access to the seafront and town. An unexpected bonus was the EV charger. We have stayed here before and we will certainly be back in the future.

The house is lovely, it’s situated about a 15 minute walk from the beach, and it’s lovely and quiet.

Of a night you can even hear the waves when you have your windows open. The house is decorated lovely, it has everything you need and we loved our stay here, will definitely book again.’

The house was very clean comfortable and well equipped.

In easy reach of the town centre ,beaches and other facilities. We stayed for a week and even though the weather wasn't that good ,( it was late October) there was plenty of games and jigsaws etc to keep us entertained and plenty to do if you have young children (which we didn't).

A very nice house overall and although in a quiet area still very convenient to both town and beach.

We would mention that the beds were not the most comfortable and we found the sofas rather low but these are very minor constructive criticisms. Would still recommend the property.

Great property well equipped for a self catering holiday.

Spacious area and garden so plenty of room if you wanted a day in the Property but within easy walking distance of the beach and the town centre for days out. The hosts communicated information well and ensured the house was well kitted out for all your holiday needs.

Had a wonderful stay, house was equipped with everything we needed and location was superb, only a 10 minute walk to town or the beaches.

This is a lovely well presented property with a lovely homely vibe in quiet residential area.

The house has everything you need. Plenty of parking. And a lovely back garden. You can walk in to town and to the beaches and canal easily . On beach days we did drive and park as we were carrying stuff. My only criticism is the bed was too hard for me (but thats a personal preference as i have arthritis ) oh and the down stairs wet room was great for me! The owner is extremely helpful and approachable. I enjoyed my time at Chiltern!

Good location near to Bude and local beaches.

Close to Bude, lovely local beaches, pubs and restaurants. Listing should mention electric cooker has an induction hob, husband unable to use as has a pacemaker, which might be relevant to others. Lovely garden and plenty of parking great walk in shower downstairs. Very comfortable family really enjoyed their stay at Chilton. A lovely holiday home.

The perfect house for a family seaside holiday.

Spotlessly clean and very well equipped with plenty of crockery and cutlery. The beds were very comfortable. It was a really nice touch that there are toys and games, and beach equipment for guests to use. Communication from Duncan, the owner, was excellent. We hope to return next year and would highly recommend Chilton.

Really liked having a selection of beach toys/body boards available to be used-a really nice touch! Great location-short walk to the beach and the town so ideally located for everything Bude has to offer!

We loved Chilton.

It was amazingly clean and so welcoming to us as parents of a small child. Really a perfect family friendly home (lego table, games cupboard, beach kit and kiddy plates!). We loved how many of the original details had been preserved in the recent redecoration and how well maintained the garden was in particular. The mattress in the main bedroom has lost its bounce and could stand replacing, but otherwise we were delighted with the standard of everything (the kitchen is small but perfectly formed and so well equipped). We didn't come in an EV in the end, but charging facilities for one could be a future consideration as opportunities for this in Bude are quite limited Thank you, Duncan and family, for a lovely stay. We wish our health had allowed it to be the full week we planned.
