Frogwell Chapel

Very comfortable , had a lovely stay there….

only small criticism was the stream of instructions on what I should do when I left the chapel, made me feel anxious that I should forget anything, there was at least three emails and also written instructions repeating everything already said.

Frogwell Chapel is beautiful and has many of original fittings.

The furnishings are lovely and comfotable you just sink into the setteess.The electrical goods are exelent quality and the bbq which we never had chance to use.Lovely big decking with sunbeds and good quallity table and chairs.We were near to most places we wanted to go to would stop again if in that area

The accommodation is fabulous! It's not often I give a 5 star review, but this holiday let is well deserving of it. Lovely and peaceful to sit out on the decking and have a BBQ. Local amenities only 5mins drive away and we'll positioned to tour around Cornwall. Highly recommend!!

The chapel is something special.

We spent a very quiet and very pleasant week there. The atmosphere and facilities are great, only the deck needs to be renewed at some point. A tip: Very nearby there's an exhibition called 'The Story of Emily'. Definitely book and check it out.

We stayed again and loved every bit, spotlessly clean and comfortable, we hope to return in 2027

So quiet and peaceful, very clean and fresh and the view was just what I was after! Will definitely book again. Also there was a fan in the bedroom which was very good and towels were included

The accommodation was great.

It totally matched the description and photos perfectly! Had everything we needed including a large parasol for the very very sunny weather we had! Kitchen was well equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable. The view from the decking was lovely. The house was a great base to ensure a fabulous holiday.

The perfect place to stay and relax, it was everything that we expected, beautiful surroundings, lovely and quiet, clean and comfortable, perfect to come back to after a day out in Cornwall.

Our two Border Collies had the best time ever, will definitely be going back, thank you so much Amanda and Mike.

We loved our stay at this gorgeous little chapel.

It was just as it appears in the photos, with everything you need. It was so quiet and relaxing to come home to, after busy days exploring Cornwall with our 2 little dogs. The only thing we would have changed is the mattress on the bed, it was too soft, or maybe in need of renewing.

A perfect getaway if you're wanting peace and quiet.

Cottage was as in the pictures and Amanda made sure all was OK after our arrival and very helpful giving us recommendations on places to go and where to eat.

Frogwell Chapel is an absolutely fantastic place to stay.

The Chapel itself is beautifully designed and renovated with great facilities. Its cleanliness is worth a mention - despite being dog friendly it seemed like we were the first ever occupants as it was immaculate. Amanda was very helpful sending us very useful emails but even though she lives next door this was never intrusive and we were left with our privacy. I would strongly recommend this lovely property to anyone.

Frogwell Chapel is absolutely gorgeous, exactly as it looked in the pictures and perfectly clean when we arrived.

The kitchen was well equipped, the sofas were super comfortable and the bed was brilliant. Wonderful retreat away in the Cornish countryside, and it was such a treat being able to walk the dogs across the fields right outside. The owners, Amanda and Mike, were also so considerate and attentive - they checked in when we first arrived and before we left, letting us know they were available if we needed anything. The setting was lovely and quiet, with stunning views, and I can only imagine how gorgeous it would be in full summertime sunshine! Local amenities were a very short drive way and included a large Tesco superstore for everything you could want. I also highly recommend a walk at the Kit Hill Country Park, just 10 minutes away from the Chapel and worth the uphill climb for another set of breathtaking views of the countryside. Thank you so much to Amanda and Mike for providing such a wonderful holiday retreat!

Frogwell chapel was beautiful.

Instructions to arrive were excellent, especially the tip to reverse park. The Chapel was spotless with everything you needed - and more. The chapel is beautiful inside and out and finished to a very high standard. Views were stunning and a super comfy bed. Amanda kept in contact and was able to share suggestions of places to visit.

Frogwell Chapel is one of the loveliest homes we've ever stayed

Frogwell Chapel is a great location for a relaxing stay.

We love to take our dogs on a winter holiday in the UK as we know it won't be too hot for them but that means a day of exploration and then dark cosy nights where we love to relax. The Chapel was just that. It was super warm and inviting. The sofas were comfy and the electric fire set the mood. So much so my husband wants one in our snug. The kitchen has everything you need equipment wise for making delicious meals. The pulpit is such a great original feature on the way to the bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. The decking would be lovely in the summer for BBQs but was a good look out point for some stars at night for us. And the dogs loved the field for morning walkies before their adventures. Amanda and Mike are great hosts and available should you need them but very much leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace. The quality of the chapel and furnishings was excellent and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.

This place is a little gem hidden away inalovely spot .

We had a fantastic few days at the chapel.

It's lovely to stay in a place with so much character, while also being warm and comfortable. We cooked most nights, the kitchen was really well stocked - scales, good quality pans and sharp knives to name a few things you don't usually get! We found the location great for access to good walking and running, and having the alpacas down the road made me very happy.

My wife and I had long weekend break in October 2025 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Chapel is stunningly beautiful filled with character pieces from its previous life, everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen is well equipped. All bedding, towels, toilette rolls, kitchen / bathroom cleaning products are provided but remember to take your own condiments. I would happily recommend the Chapel and fully intend to return.

Frogwell Chapel went above and beyond our expectations.

It’s beautifully presented, spacious and spotlessly clean. It’s extremely well positioned to catch the sun from afternoon to evening. We thoroughly enjoyed our few days staying there. Highly recommended.

High class accommodation and everything provided you could think of.

Another touch being dog friendly considering the high quality furnishings. The weather let us down preventing us relaxing outside and having a barby which also was available.

Frogwell Chapel was an absolute delight within the hamlet of Frogwell.

A lovely, peaceful property presented to a high standard. The rear decking is the ideal area for relaxation and overlooks the fields where our dog and ourselves loved to walk. Was sad to leave after a two weeks stay.

Es war ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt um den Süden Cornwalls zu erkunden. Wir haben hier sehr entspannte Tage verbracht und danken den Gastgebern für ihre Freundlichkeit. A very well equipped cottage, decorated and furnished to a very high standard.

It is well situated to visit both the coast and interesting National Trust houses. And it is very close to an exceptional restaurant at Crocadon Farm.

A perfect week away celebrating my birthday with beautiful settings and stunning weather!

The property was absolutely everything we could have wanted! a huge amount of space for the two of us and the dog! Incredibly comfortable sofas and bed! Property was super clean and stocked with everything you could need during your stay. The BBQ on the veranda set each evening up beautifully! The veranda is a wonderful little sun trap so our last night we definitely came back early enough to relax and enjoy it fully! Very very easy in each direction to each of the big superstores. Our hosts were absolutely wonderful too, we ran out of gas on the bbq and within a few minuets we had been re stocked and back on! Both me and my other half have said this is the best property we’ve stayed in, We loved it so much we’ve already booked to stay again next summer! Roll on 2026! Just spent a glorious week in the chapel, it is a stunning property, extremely well equipped with quality fixtures & fittings, everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The decking area was a favourite place to spend the evening overlooking the countryside, rabbits & birds & was easily accessible to take our Springer Barkley for his regular walks. Amanda & Mike are lovely (hard working) hosts giving advice & ideas for places to visit, overall the chapel was spotless & we would love to return.

The hosts have clearly put a lot of throught and care into the setup, with everything you need to be comfortable. They also responed quickly to any questions we had, and were kind and friendly. There are plenty of things to do nearby, but we also just enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the beautiful view from the deck outside with a drink and/or nice meal! We'd definitely recommend a stay to anyone looking to visit this area, and will return if we decide to come back too, thanks!

An absolute gem of a property, unique converted Chapel.

Every home comfort provided, well equipped property with a very comfortable bed allowing a good nights rest. Location is beautiful, views from the decking across the fields watching the deer and the abundance of night stars. Location is perfect for exploring Cornwall beaches which included stunning Looe/Talland Bay/Polperro/Whitsand Bay/Kingsand beach. Can highly recommend Devenport Inn for food Kingsand beach. The owners of the property are close on hand should you require them, however they are very discreet ensuring your privacy. They honestly can’t not do enough to ensure your stay is perfect. We will be returning in the future and highly recommend the Chapel, you will not be disappointed.

Had a marvellous stay, chapel fully of character and well appointed.

Dog has a great time, field next door was a treat to walk the dog and view the deer. Owners very helpful, providing dog friendly walks and pubs. Would recommend and stay here and will book again later in the year.

Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. Peaceful & tranquil getaway that felt like a real home from home without the normal daily distractions. Cannot recommend this property more highly. Wonderfully peacefull and comfortable holiday, the chapel is in a tiny hamlet yet only 15mins from Liskeard station from where you can ride to Looe etc (cheaply).

The owners are in the next building, we had a welcoming message offering any help, but they didn't bother us for the duration. It is a lovely place and very well appointed, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Frogwell Chapel, you won't be dissapointed. Nic and Carolyn. ☺️.

Frogwell Chapel is a beautiful place to stay.

We loved that it has retained some of the original “chapel” features. It was extremely comfortable and well equipped in a lovely location. Our dog loved the local riverside walk, just over the bridge at the bottom of the hill, where parking is available. We would definitely recommend this letting especially if you want a quiet little hideaway!

Myself and my partner stayed at the Chapel and it was just what we needed.

It was clean, comfortable and the surroundings were lovely. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. Our dog absolutely loved the surrounding area and she loved exploring! Any beach we wanted to go to was about half an hour away, which for us was fine as we’re used to driving that amount of time to take our dog to somewhere nice for walks! Overall we would definitely consider coming back if we came back to Cornwall, we have also recommended the Chapel to family members for their next UK holiday!

Everything we needed for a week away with our 2 small dogs. Set in a beautiful location, perfect for exploring or just enjoying the views.

We had good stay in this beautiful cottage.

It is an ideal place to visit both the North and South coasts as well as being near several National Trust properties. There is a good walk from the cottage along the river and up to Cadsonbury hill fort. The kitchen was well-equipped and when we had a query the owners, who live next door, were very helpful. It was so nice to have the decking to eat outside on sunny days. We had a lovely week.

The chapel was a real home from home.

So comfortable with everything one could want. The location is so peaceful with gorgeous views from the decking area.

From the moment we turned up we fell in love with this place, so cute warm and welcoming.

So relaxing listening to the little stream running by and the chatty birds makes this a true gem if anyone wants to relax and enjoy this tranquil place. Very well maintained and loved by the owners. I can't say enough about this place other than you will not be disappointed.

We had a marvellous stay at Frogwell Chapel - the cottage was absolutely delightful and it was located perfectly for all the little trips we did: Kit Hill, Calstock and Tamar Valley, Eden Project, Saltash and other costal towns and villages like Looe, Fowey and Polperro.

On top of it, the owners were very kind and accommodating. We would love to come back!

Very comfortable and warm . Everything u needed and lovely seating area on decking over looking the fields . Nothing was to much trouble you both was on hand anytime . We had slight issue with tv but you both sorted it out straight away for us . The only thing we missed was no welcome pack . We been before to many cottages and had small welcome pack when we arrive ie bread and milk . We did miss that because we had to pop local shop after longdrive to make a drink . Once again thankyou both so much hopefully see you next year . Would highly recommend staying here for a nice peaceful rest x

The property was presented to a very high standard and is accurately detailed on Sykes.

The only slight downside is access onto the drive. The property is located in a rural area but shops and areas of interest are easily accessed. Would recommend

Had the most relaxing week at frogwell cottage, the chapel was immaculate, so well designed, furnishings were beautiful and there was everything there to make our weeks stay a wonderful experience with every home comfort possible.

We took our two small dogs and the cottage was very dog friendly and safe. The cottage is in a little hamlet, making it a brilliant base to visit other areas of Cornwall which was ideal. Frogwell Chapel was a lovely spot to stay and we would not hesitate to rebook the next time we visit the area.

The property was comfortable, clean and very well appointed. The owners, who lived next door, were extremely friendly and the only time we had an issue [which was very minor], they were quick to sort it. We would certainly recommend a stay here in the chapel - an ideal place for a couple and your dog.

Great location cosy decking with comfortable chairs and sun beds. It’s easy to get to anywhere in Cornwall. We could live here full time so peaceful and relaxing with great coastal walks close to the property. The owners live next door but leave you to it but handy and happy to answer any questions you may have. Highly recommended and I would definitely come back.

A really lovely property, and was exactly as described.

We used it as a base to visit both south and north Cornwall. Really enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the evenings. A very peaceful spot.

We had a lovely holiday and the cottage was very comfortable with everything we need .

The porch was the perfect place to relax after a day out and when we ran out of bbq gas it was promptly replaced.

Although the weather for our week at The Chapel was wonderful, staying there would have been a pleasure regardless.

Everything about it was just near perfect. Bed, bathroom, decking, lounge etc all very comfortable and practical. Kitchen well equipped with all you need. Note, be prepared to reverse for some distance in the narrow lanes when greeted with large vehicles. Adds to the 'adventure'. Peaceful with pleasant views and wildlife visitors. Very much to our liking and wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next year.

It is immaculately presented and has all the creature comforts that you would wish for, The owners have really gone that extra mile to make it feel like a home rather than a holiday let. The presentation is immaculate and there is loads of space to relax in in comfort. The fittings, furniture and kitchen equipment are all first class. The patio decking provides a relaxing and beautiful spot to enjoy the scenery and watch the abundant wildlife. Thoroughly recommended.

The owners have thought of everything and a more than helpful. Also are not intrusive in any way (We have found this with other places in the past).this is great. The Chapel is so well done that you could live there permanent, it's that good. Everything is of a very high standard. The only thing which they have no control over is that the initial roads out can be a little hair raising. We so enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone, it's so lovely. We had a wonderful stay and the cottage was a ‘home away from home’.

A great place to explore Cornwall and lovely to come home to at the end of a busy day. Everything you would need was supplied and it even has a pulpit! Owners helpful and easy to contact, would definitely recommend.

The cottage was beautiful, and extremely well kept - and the most comfortable bed ever!

It was an ideal retreat in a quiet location for two. The only issue would be the patchy TV reception in the living room so take some DVD's if you want to watch a film, although the reception in the bedroom was fine.

We really enjoyed our stay, but it would have been handy to have had access to the internet to plan our days out, but with that being said if there had been a folder with information of places that would have been sufficient.

We did know at time of booking no internet but didn't release how limited it was even when we tried to use our own phones.

Frogwell Chapel was everything I’d hoped for.

The only complaint I have is I wish I could of stayed longer. So lovely and peaceful. The chapel is well equipped with everything you need, with great quality and comfortable furniture and good quality bedding and towels The owner, Amanda welcomed us and said they were only next door if we needed anything. Our dog loved the freedom of exploring the different fields.

This is our second stay at the Chapel and we absolutely love it.

Everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The only suggestion I would make was for a more up to date tv which allowed you to log into Netflix on to watch a movie.

Frogwell Chapel is delightful, well located to visit the Tamar Valley and Dartmoor, the property is extremely well presented and perfect for those who are accompanied by four legged friends.

Those wishing to stay in the West Country would be hard pressed to find better accommodation.

Extremely comfortable and spacious property for ourseves and our 2 dogs who enjoyed the field behind the property.

Perfectly situated for exploring Looe, Polperro, Fowey and the coast in-between.

We had a lovely stay at Frogwell.

A nice location. All holiday cottages and their owners rely on purposeful feedback so ours is thus. It is beautifully furnished and decorated minimalist in keeping with a Chapel. Very clean and all you need is within it. Myself personally I would have liked a radiator in the bathroom as well as a towel radiator as they dont really heat a room sufficiently but it's not a fault, just a personal thing for us older ones and softer pillows, but we did take our own anyway simply because of the way the things are at the moment

Frogwell Chapel is a very pleasant property nestled in it's own land which is great for walking your dog.

We enjoyed coming back to the comfortable and warm Chapel after a day out exploring Devon and Cornwall. The Chapel was spotless with good quality linen and towels. We would definitely return to Frogwell Chapel..hopefully next time in the sunshine!

Stayed here in November and what can I say that’s not already been said about this property.

Immaculate conversion from chapel to holiday let. It was clean, warm and has everything you need . Everything has been done to a high standard Views are wonderful, parking next to property. Love the sound of the river when you leave via front door. Host leaves plenty of tablets for dish washer and washing machine. Bedroom via the pulpit is a fantastic idea and works very well, makes it a bit different from your standard cottage.Would most defiantly return and would recommend to anybody without any hesitation.

We have just enjoyed a week's stay at Frogwell Chapel.

The accommodation was wonderful, spotlessly clean and spacious. It was very well furnished with quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely views of open countryside from the windows and decking. It is situated in a very quiet and peaceful location with ample parking for a car (reverse in). It is central for lots of places to visit. Amanda and Mike were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend the Chapel and would like to return one day in the not-too-distant future.

This property is perfect for that tranquil Holiday, with open views at the rear which can be enjoyed from the great decking area.

The Chapel has been sympathetically restored and furnished throughout to a very good standard. (We noted that a lot of the soft furnishings and kitchen equipment where John Lewis products). The property was spotless and a nice touch was the provision of hand soap,gel and washing and dishwasher tablets. Frogwell Chapel is a delightful find and we would have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation. As a postscript if you are wishing to eat out we would highly recommend The Manor House Inn Callington, for their Sunday Carvery and The Rifle Volunteer on the main road towards Tavistock.

From the moment we walked through the door we immediately felt at home in the chapel.

There was nothing we didn’t have. Ideal location for exploring Cornwall. Highly recommend a visit to Port Isaac and Polperro., The owners were very friendly and helpful. The icing on the cake was the beautiful weather. We will definitely be back.

Just come back from an absolutely amazing week in Frogwell Cottage.

The cottage has everything you would ever need and even everything you don't even know you need. The bed was so comfy with beautiful sheets that make you feel like you're wrapped in silk. It felt like home from home and then some. The views are amazing and to wake up watching the bunnies running around was so beautiful. We went to lots of places from here but our favourite was St Michael's Mount. Fantastic choice for a holiday and would definitely come again. I think we are spoilt now!!

We had a lovely time at the cottage, very neat and no disturbances.

My only comment is that it would be good to have an Air Cooler or Humidifier in the bedroom as it was a stuffy at night.

Beautiful building.

I like to see historic buildings restored and used. The building had character with all modern amenities. It was comfortable and well equipped with necessary appliances. The bed was comfortable with good quality linen. The hamlet of Frogwell was quiet with pleasant walks from the house or nearby Callington. Good places to visit after short drives. Really enjoyed our stay, even though the weather was not the best we managed a lot of outdoor activities from the location. I would highly recommend the cottage to people who enjoy the countryside, being outdoors and who love buildings with character and comfort.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Frogwell Chapel, the accomodation was beautiful and the area very peaceful.

It was a short commute to Devon and a great base for exploring Cornwall. We would definitely love to go back again one day.

The Chapel was charming, exceeding our expectations in cleanliness and comfort providing everything one would hope for in a home from home.

Set in stunning and private grounds the location was ideal. We enjoyed our stay so much we have rebooked for later in the year.

The chapel is beautiful and the surrounding grounds are lovely.

It has everything you might need and was clean and comfortable. The location is ideal as far enough away from people but only a mile away from Callington.

Our two week stay coincided with the worst weather recorded in May!

Thankfully Frogwell Chapel was such a lovely place to stay that this made up for the days when were unable to get out, which were quite a few! It is well positioned for amenities & also a local river walk. It was good to be able to walk in the owners fields around Frogwell with our dog. Enjoyed a visit to Pentillie Castle grounds which was recommended by our host. We will just have to return & then we can explore further as there was so much on offer in the area.
