Henwood Barn

A wonderful holiday, just off the Bodmin Moor.

There are views from the cottage across to the Moor! Also, easy reach to the South Cornwall coast.The cottage is fully equipped and has everything you need. We enjoyed the home-made scones, jam and cream left for us. The hosts are very thoughtful and there to help.

Beautiful comfy and homely accommodation in a lovely setting, and ideally located for walking on the moors, discovering coastal villages, and visiting at least 5 stunning National Trust properties within the area.

We stayed in Henwood Barn, with our 2 Dogs.

The property is amazingly clean, immaculate,warm, very comfortable and stylish. There was always hot water, and the bed was super comfortable. It was so quiet and peaceful in the accomodation and the beautiful surrounding area. The Owner, Becca, was so friendly and welcoming, and was there if we had needed anything, yet also left us to enjoy our stay privately, which we prefer. On arrival we were greeted warmly by her, and she also left us a gift of a delicious Cornish Cream Tea, plus gifts for our Dogs, which was a thoughtful touch. We also found we had been left a large basket of logs for the log burner, plus firelighters. The surrounding area is beautiful, and it is the perfect location for visiting many places within Cornwall. Overall, this is one of the best, if not the best Sykes accomodation that we have stayed in. We will definitely be returning and can highly recommend!

A lovely property converted from a barn.

Exceptionally clean inside and very friendly and comfortable. At the end of the gravelled parking area are a couple of seats where you can sit and look at the most beautiful view across the valley. Be aware of the single track roads to and from the property.

We had a great time at the Henwood barn.

The cottage is quiet and comfortable with walks around for the dog. We were welcomed with some lovely scones and treats for Toto. This is a really nice place to stay.

It is a very comfortable property with a lot of character and set in a beautiful location . There are great walks nearby on Bodmin moor and the central location makes for easy driving to both the North and South Coast. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.

Fantastic stay - hosts went above and beyond to accommodate us during our stay and nothing was too much trouble.

Very very clean and the sweet treat on arrival was a very welcome touch. A lovely cottage with a homely feel. Very central point for going out for days, perfect location. Also a good pub 20 mins away for excellent food is the ‘The Springer Spaniel Country Pub and Restaurant’. Thank you for a memorable stay!

Henwood Barn was the perfect base for us to spend a week’s holiday following a family wedding at a nearby venue.

Becca the owner was very warm and welcoming and accommodated all our needs. The cream tea awaiting us on arrival was such a lovely touch. The cottage was spotlessly clean, beds were very comfortable, there is plenty of living space in the cosy lounge and large kitchen/dining room and the setting is beautiful. We would have made more use of the guests’ garden area had the weather permitted as the views from there were stunning across fields and The Valley beyond. A very peaceful and relaxing holiday, we would gladly return.

An absolutely beautiful, clean cottage in a picturesque location with a fantastic garden.

The owner was very pleasant and helpful and made our stay warm and welcoming. The gift bag on arrival for our pet and our present on arrival was a lovely touch, too! After a day of exploring whatever Cornwall had to offer, sitting and relaxing by the wood burning fire was so comforting. We will be recommending Henwood Barns to our friends and family.
