Begin your getaway by parking on the drive and stepping into the heart of the home, where a welcoming sitting room furnished with a plush corner sofa and Smart TV greets you.

Unwind here before heading into the fully equipped kitchen, where you can cook up a storm to be enjoyed around the dining table.

If the weather is nice, why not head out to the spacious decking, where you can dine alfresco in the Cornish sun?

After dinner, make the most of Coastal Haven’s outdoor games room, which houses a pool table, table football, and a darts board – perfect for groups that enjoy a bit of friendly competition.

Further along, you can explore Tintagel, the legendary home of King Arthur, and the magnificent ruins of Tintagel Castle, which boast breathtaking views across the sea.

Venturing in the opposite direction, you can visit Widemouth Bay Beach and Summerleaze Beach, where you’ll find an array of watersports and Bude Sea Pool for a spot of wild swimming.

Crackington Haven is a charming cove near Boscastle, with a mix of rockpools, a sandy beach and good surf. There are two beach shops and cafes, which are wonderful to relax in and look out over the blue seas of the bay. Walking this section of the South West Coast Path, much of it owned by the National Trust, offers dramatic views, a host of wildflowers and an undulating terrain. Just along the coast is the quaint village of Boscastle, with gift shops, local restaurants and pubs offering good food, Cornish real ales and live entertainment by local musicians, making this an ever-popular visitor destination. The sandy Trebarwith Strand beach is within a short drive, as are the surfing beaches at Bude and Polzeath. Close at hand lies Tintagel, swathed in the legend of King Arthur, as well as several stately homes and renowned gardens, or the wide open space of Bodmin Moor, famous for its granite tors and Daphne Du Maurier’s Jamaica Inn.
