“I would strongly suggest avoiding staying in this property during the winter as the heating is inadequate.”
There are no heaters in the bedrooms, only one electric heater in the hallway downstairs and one upstairs. Even with the heaters on, the living room upstairs was only 11 degrees (as shown on the thermometer). The bedrooms were so cold overnight that it was difficult to sleep, even with extra duvets and blankets, as the temperature must have been below 10 degrees, which is uncomfortably low.

If the property is to be rented in the winter, plug‑in heaters should be provided for the bedrooms to make them suitable. As it stands, the property is not appropriate for letting during the winter months.
Other notes: the toaster only works if you hold the button down the entire time, the kitchen tap is very wobbly and needs fixing, and the lock on the front door is very stiff and difficult to use. The place is probably fine for a summer stay.
Dear Dr Ellwood,
I am sorry that you found the house cold for your stay. Did you turn the storage heaters up to the maximum heat? They are left on minimum when the house is empty. There should be an electric mobile heater in the main bedroom? Also the convector heater in the lounge can be on all the time.
Regarding the toaster, If you had reported it to the cleaning/ maintenance people ( the phone number listed on the wall) they would have brought you another one to use.
Re: the front door being difficult to open, again maintenance would have fixed it. The kitchen tap is rather quirky I know, it is a knack, and has a notice to say how. Perhaps now a new tap is required as attempts to fix it have not resulted in changing the way it works.
I was not aware of either of these two problems.
I am also sorry not to have replied to your review sooner and I hope that you will consider staying in my holiday home once again and able to enjoy it as much as I do.
Thank you for your feedback. Best wishes.
