Description
Valley Lodge 48, a homely, well-appointed detached two-storey lodge is located in a secluded part of the Honicombe Manor Holiday Resort, which is serene but well-equipped.
This well-located home is ideal for families seeking a fun-filled stay together, groups of friends, or couples wishing to enjoy the gorgeous location, hot tub, and plenty of lovely places to visit in a calm area with beautiful views of the countryside.
Outside of the major holiday season, this is a popular destination for walkers, with Dartmoor approximately 10 minutes away by car or bus.
The Valley Lodges are a short walk from the on-site leisure facilities, which include indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, a bar, a shop, and reception. During the school holidays, there is a full schedule of entertainment as well as sporting activities such as archery, rock climbing, kayaking, and abseiling (seasonal, subject to availability, extra charges apply). The property features reverse-level living, with the bedrooms and two bathrooms conveniently located on the ground floor. The two twin bedrooms, which may accommodate adults or children, are tastefully designed and share a spotless shower room. The master double room has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, electric shower, toilet, and hand basin that is completely white. The Master Suite also features patio doors that open to a lovely little deck with a nice hot tub to relax in while sipping a glass of champagne. As you ascend the stairs to the first level, you'll find a warm open-plan living area with a TV, DVD player, and Bluetooth sound bar. A wide dining table with seating for up to 8 people invites you to sit and chat with friends and family over extended meals. The soothing neutral design and enough comfortable seating make this the ideal area to kick back and relax, with a selection of books, games, and DVDs to keep you occupied when you're not out on an expedition. The kitchen includes smart appliances such as a dishwasher and a washer and dryer. Step out onto a beautiful covered balcony, where you can relax in the sun and have a great alfresco dinner on two two-seater Rattan Sofas and two Rattan Easy Chairs. A huge glass patio table and six comfortable chairs are complemented by a large umbrella. In the evening, solar lighting illuminates the entire area. The beautiful Honicombe Manor Holiday Park is a fantastic place to base your stay, with all the amenities such as a shop and a bar, as well as a variety of activities such as both indoor and outdoor pools, a games room, a gym, tennis courts, and more, you could easily spend your holiday here. Naturalists won't have to travel far to get their fix, as the lovely Tamar Valley AONB is only a short drive away, packed with fascinating attractions, breathtaking scenery, and charming tiny villages like quaint Calstock. Dartmoor is also only a short journey away, with magnificent trails that can be reached by car or bus. Tavistock, Callington, and Liskeard all have large stores that deliver to your holiday home. Gunnislake, which is close by, has a variety of attractive shops and cafés, as well as the Tamar Valley Steam Railway and a main line rail link to Plymouth. A charming lodge in a fantastic Cornwall location.

What guests are saying
A lovely holiday lodge, for a family of four adults and a dog.
The welcome pack was lovely with crisps, biscuits, milk, and a bottle of fizz, and there was even doggie treats too. Every kitchen utensil, pot pan glass cup etc you can think of too. Everything was well thought of and catered for. Lovely sitting out on the deck and also having the hot tub was wonderful. The park its self is nice and quiet, we didn’t use the pools or gym but neither were crowded and all maintained well. The restaurant / pub was good, the carvery was good value and the food was tasty. Negatives, now this could just be personal preference but the double bed mattress was far too soft and wobbly, and thats the only negative I have apart from that, we had a perfect stay at 48 Valley Lodge and would definitely return, so a big Thank you to the owner!!
Very well furnished lodge, nice and clean, hard to find needs better number system, hot tub large but old and needs TLC controls and buttons don't work properly, and the Wi-Fi is a nightmare, works one day not the next very poor
The lodge itself is very nice and the location is very good, the pub and the amenities are excellent, but there are a few nickly bits to point out, washer dryer not working not spinning the clothes, was pointed out to the maintenance guy, could not hoover as the hoover absolutely stunck off wet animals when in use and again was pointed out, lastly the mattresses are really cheap and nasty, springy and when moving about you can feel the springs and waking up with bad backs.
for the money you spend on a relaxing holiday surely the owners could make it slightly more comfortable than being on the cheap side but over all it was nice
