The location of Orchard Chalet is very peaceful.

However, the property is looking a bit tired & in need of a few repairs & redecoration. There are lumps of plaster missing from various ceiling points, the washing machine drain floods the cupboard under the sink & onto the kitchen floor & has done for some time evidently (this is due to be rectified by a plumber) My partner was frustrated by not having a dressing table in the main bedroom which for the ladies is important for hair drying etc. The single beds in the back room are very uncomfortable as the mattresses have seen far better days. We must thank Lyn who looks after the place & is on call for any problems. Such a lovely lady. We had to call her one horrible wet evening as we couldn't get the oven started & she was with us in a flash armed with coat, torch & wellies

As always, we enjoyed our stay at Orchard chalet but feel the property is now needing an overhaul.

There are lots of things that need attention for example the mattresses are far too soft for anybody, the curtains need to be blackout curtains, there are cracks appearing from movement of the property and from this there are bits of plaster coming from the ceiling, some of the skirting boards are coming off and the one in the second bedroom although it’s not the skirting board it’s from movement of the property there is a big gap between the skirting board and the floor.

Orchard Chalet had the most wonderful views, the owner was very friendly & accommodating, the chalet was clean & comfortable, all appliances worked & were easy to work, just a few of minor things, the table outside was rusty, it needs a new one out there & there were a lot of brambles encroaching into the garden, we had to go around & push them back through the fence before we let our Granddaughter out there, and lastly the chalet needs new curtains in the lounge, as the are a bit moldy at the back & hard to pull across at night due to some of the rings not being attached to the curtain.

We would defiantly stay there again, we all loved it.
