Little Trevallan

Little Trevallan was a perfect base for touring around the area, close to shops & facilities, the hosts are very welcoming and it was an enjoyable stay.

Lovely couple run it , great location 1min from a beach with about 10 people on it .

Nice walk across the coast rd takes roughly 15 mins ish in to LOOE that’s really nice , if you have a large car u might struggle as per there advert rd is very narrow . But overall we enjoy it . Really good Chinese up rd plus chippy etc

Great accommodation, lovely area, 5 minutes walk to nearest beach, 15/20 minutes walk into Looe centre along the coastal path, if you go via local roads it's very hilly.

If coming back from Looe late, take a torch for the coastal path. Took a taxi first night and was charged £14 for about 6 minutes ride, walked from then on. The hosts are friendly and helpful, the accommodation has everything you need, no oven but hob and microwave. I'm on holiday so mainly eat out anyway. All in all, recommended.

Had a fantastic time the accommodation was lovely it had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean.

John and Justine were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Little Trevallan is perfectly situated if like us you want to spend time on the beach. Would definitely recommend and we will hopefully be back soon.

Beautifully presented accommodation just as described.

Most comfortable bed and ample bedroom storage. Super shower, but would like a wall mounted rack to put shampoo etc., in while showering. This was our second stay at this lovely place. Location on the coastal path excellent for a walk to Looe and the proximity of the local beach is super. Off road parking a great bonus. Really can't recommend this place highly enough.

Lovely accommodation.

Well located although access road is narrow and overgrown. Only downside for self catering accommodation is the lack of an oven and freezer. For example if you wanted to go out for the day and take a picnic there is no facility to freeze ice blocks. However, having said that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and John and Justine are very good hosts

We loved the cottage, had everything we needed.

Immaculate condition. Easy to walk into Looe, about 10 mins along the coast walk. Looe is a lovely place for old pubs and restaurants. John the owner was on hand for any problems. Very nice guy. Would go back there again.

Such a lovely little place to stay, quiet and peaceful with a gorgeous short coastal walk into Looe.

We had a lovely welcome from the owners and their dog misty when we arrived and the addition of milk and biscuits in our property were a lovely touch. Very comfortable bed and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

A superb place to stay.

Such beautiful surroundings. Waves washing onto the shore. Birdsong. Spring flowers lining the lane. Perfect hosting: warm and informative but unobtrusive. Many thanks. (I struggle with navigating and needed more instructions on finding Little Trevallan. For example: after turning down Hay Lane, take the second right. At the end of the road, in front of the large property Dove Rock, turn left and follow the lane down approximately halfway. Little Trevallan is up a small slope on the left-hand side.)

Super stylish accommodation everything immaculate.

Lovely warm welcome from the owners. Walk into Looe along coastal path beautiful. Stroll of minutes to Plaidy beach a treasure. Plenty do do and see locally with some real foodie gems nearby. All culminating in a wonderful relaxing holiday.

Overall we enjoyed our weeks stay at Little Trevallan, clean and comfortable with a great location.

Plaidy beach just a few minutes walk away, quiet and relaxing. As previous guests have pointed out, there is no oven or freezer but it's a small issue and everything else is available. We could not use the toaster without the smoke alarm sounding even with door and windows open which is annoying. We couldn't find a tin opener anywhere in the kitchen but again small niggles. We would definitely recommend staying at Little Trevallan.

Justine greeted us when we arrived and even though we was a bit early made us really welcome.

It's such a lovely relaxing place to stay. Little Trevallan had everything we needed for our stay. There was lots of walks on our doorstep so we didn't use the car all week. The walk into Looe is such a beautiful scenic route. Plaidy beach is a short walk away. We met John later during our stay and he was very welcoming too. They both went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Little Trevallan was great the costal walk in to town was nice the owner's very friendly and helpful had a lovely week lots to do in Looe as well

Lovely welcome.

Plenty of information available on the surroundings and beyond. It is a 15 minute coastal walk to Looe so it is close to all the bustle of a seaside town but the cottage is down a peaceful lane. Plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery and glasses to self cater. A real home from home.

Excellent little trevallan it's a hidden gem so peaceful so comfortable and a short walk from plaidy beach and a lovely coastal walk into looe.

The lane down to the cottage and the slop onto the drive is very tight but there is another way in and out of the cottage is alot better than advertised on the website would definitely love to return

The property was perfect for us, and the owners very approachable.

Parking off road was a real bonus, we parked and the car did not move for the week. It is extremely convenient for the coastal path, (down hill) to Looe town. No 10 bus from the bridge to the primary school back. Then a short walk (down hill) back to the accommodation. this bus was also great for visits to Polperro and to Plymouth (we are 80 so great with the bus pass). Again Taxi's from Looe Bridge to the accommodation, in the evenings cost £7. Plenty of great eating places in Looe. Observation not a criticism, perhaps in the listing, it could be mentioned, the fridge, is a larder fridge, and doesn't have a freezer. Lastly a fan would have been great, with the temperatures during our stay. All in all wonderful stay, defiantly will be back. Mike and my Senior Manager Bren

We have had a great stay at Little Trevallan.

We had everything we needed & will definitely be returning.

We were greeted by John on arrival, who made us feel very welcome.

The cottage was in a lovely location and only 2 minutes walk from the beach. It was very clean and tidy, and had everything we needed. As other's have said there is no oven, but we certainly didn't miss it. I would recommend fish and chips from the Coddy Shack. We would happily stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Little Trevallan, clean warm and comfortable.

Being in our late seventies and just getting over Covid feeling a little drained walking out was a little to much,but if you are fit and healthy it’s a lovely place to stay.

The website needs updating there was no dvd player we couldn’t watch Netflix and although the pub, shop and take away are all short distance away it’s up very steep hills and not suitable to walk as we found out.

It also should mention that entering the property from the lane is steep and the lane is very narrow

We loved this accommodation - well equipped, comfortable, and a good location just a few minutes walk from Plaidy beach.

Great for walking the coastal path. Within easy reach of many places to visit.

Fantastic little get away.

John and Justine make you feel so welcome. Wonderful stay. Can't fault it at all. We did however realise after there is no oven but didn't stop us enjoying our time. Will definitely be back

Perfect holiday getaway.

Well equipped and private. 2 mins downhill to the beach or a 15 min walk into Looe. Bit steep in places but the views make it worth it. Once I Looe there is a lovely beach and all the pubs and restaurants you could want. Thoroughly recommend.

A lovely little cottage, very neat and clean, beautiful setting.

Everything you need for your stay. Lovely garden and the owners dog was a delight. As a suggestion, certainly not a criticism, maybe exchange the microwave into microwave combination oven. As a couple who like to cook, or warm up items that need to be in an oven, this was the only thing lacking in a wonderful holiday cottage.

High standard of accommodation.

No oven, but that was no hindrance as we found hob and microwave quite sufficient for our weeks stay. Comfiest bed we have ever had away from home. Two minute walk to Plaidy beach which is sheltered and fairly quiet. Fifteen to twenty minute walk on the Coastal Path to Looe. Owners friendly and accessible. Very happy to recommend this property.

Ideal for couples who like eating out.

Quiet and peaceful.

The property was very comfortable, it was lovely to have underfloor heating that I could switch on when needed as the weather was chilly.

It was so quiet and peaceful, only the sound of the birds! Owing to the location and local conditions, the wi fi was not strong and sometimes not available, luckily this was not too much of a problem for me. As one of the access lanes was closed due to a landslip, I needed to turn my car around to leave the property. Not too much trouble for me as I have a small car, but an estate or large car might have difficulty. The owners were very kind and friendly and their dog adorable. It was lovely to have Plaidy beach only a few steps away, and the SW coast path into Looe was a lovely 20 minute walk. There are some steep parts though!
