Pixie Cottage

We have had a lovely week at Pixie Cottage.

It’s in an excellent location, with great views and only a few minutes walk to the harbour. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. Bridget the caretaker is a great asset, friendly but not too intrusive.

We cancelled due to our dog being unwell so lost £300+ we have been three times so can vouch for the accommodation being fantastic

A cosy, comfortable cottage with beautiful views over the harbor and estuary.

It would have been useful to reinforce the stairs maybe causing problems for anyone with a mobility issue and the low ceiling over the stairs

Very nice cottage good location beautiful views of harbour cottage would really benefit having a freezer in the fridge.

No ice or place to put dog food packs. Stairs very steep would benefit a hand rail for both sets Bathroom needs TLC especially the shower screen .. Bridget (housekeeper) very welcoming and helpful ….

We enjoyed a splendid week at Pixie Cottage.

Each floor of the property seemed to have its own character, which was all lovely. The large open windows of the upper floors allowed us to feel connected to the sights and sounds of the harbour while enjoying our naturist lifestyle. The ground floor kitchen and dining area at street level was well equipped providing everything you need. Lovely days spent exploring Looe and the wonderful beach, and the many pubs and eateries. Bridget the housekeeper who lives next door was wonderfully helpful with some much appreciated advice regarding the local area, she provided a lovely warm welcome. Also I should mention the gorgeous cream tea on arrival. We have some very fond memories of Looe and we will return. Thank you.

We had a lovely few days at Pixie Cottage.

Wonderful harbour views! Cream tea on arrival which was lovely. A really good bonus to have the permit parking as well & no trouble loading/off loading outside. The cottage is a bit dated, mainly the kitchen & a bit damp in kitchen but it is about 400 years old! So expected! Would have loved a washing machine instead of dishwasher but all in all very comfy memory foam mattress on the bed & nice hot shower in the big bathroom. Will definitely stay again!

This cottage is situated in a perfect spot, close to the bridge crossing to east Looe.

Its designated parking spot in Millpool car park is also really close to the bridge. We arrived in torrential rain and were able to drop everything off at the door. Then found this beautifully clean, delightful haven. The weather improved and the week got better and better, Looe is a fantastic holiday resort and we'd love to stay in Pixie cottage again. The stairs would be a problem for anyone with mobility issues.

We stayed at Pixie cottage for 2 weeks over Easter.

We could not recommend Pixie cottage enough. It was clean, comfortable and the view was out of this world. It had everything you could need to whip up a meal or if you wanted there are many lovely places to eat within a short stroll, as pixie cottage is in the best location. The cream tea was a lovely gesture in our arrival along with milk, tea and coffee. Bridget (the house keeper) was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. I can't even think of anything negative at all. We will definately return.

As stated above pixie cottage was great Only drawback for me and my wife were the two flights of stairs I am in my seventies and my wife also has several mobility problems BUT we coped I guess we didn’t read properly the interior set up

We had a very happy five days here.

Booked last minute and everything just perfect.

Weather was very kind which always helps with holidays in UK. Cottage very warm, great for colder months, drop off outside cottage is fantastic and parking not far away. Locals very friendly. Cant fault.

Absolutely love Pixie Cottage and Looe.

Its perfectly located and just feels like home. This is the third year we have stayed here and we plan to come again next year.

Accommodation was excellent with every detail thought of.

The parking facilities were easy and convenient. Lovely to be welcomed with a cream tea. Excellent communication with owners and the neighbours should we have needed anything. We will plan our return visit soon

The cottage was spotless and well positioned with a great view of Looe harbour.

Bridget next door was very friendly and helpful and kept the cottage clean and tidy. Everything was to hand in the cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. The car park was a short walk away and easy to find. The only thing which could be added is a DVD player as my wife missed playing her aerobic DVD.

This was our second visit.

Beautifully presented cottage with everything you need. Lovely outlook over the harbour and Looe. Easy to walk to shops, cafes and pubs in town. Great walks around the area for us and our dog. Although no space at the cottage for a car, there is a reserved parking spot 5 minutes away. No problems at all with the visit but reassuring to know the delightful housekeeper and husband were next door. Perfect for us and our dog!

A lovely cottage in an absolutely fantastic location overlooking the harbour and the sea.

Only 5 minutes away from shops, cafes and the esplanade which is absolutely lovely. Free parking (in nearby car park) is a real bonus too. The only drawback is the very steep walk from the town and the very steep staircases in the cottage, but a small price to pay for a beautiful place in this stunning and convenient location. Thank you!

The views are outstanding and very quiet. Housekeeper Bridgett made us very welcome with lovely cream tea. Hope to return soon

It’s the second time we have stayed in Pixie Cottage.

Love the location of the cottage. It is well equipped and clean and comfortable. Ideally located for everything and the free car park space allocated to pixie cottage is just a short walk away. Hope to come back.

The Cottage was one of the best we have stayed in in Looe.

Just lovely! The downside was the completely unacceptable cancellation terms and conditions after booking with one site Dogfriendly, the payment terms were disregarded by Sykes. After paying the deposit you are contracted by Sykes to pay the balance whether you can take your holiday or not. Very unfair as we paid six months before our holiday. No one intends to cancel, but these terms are unacceptable and this was a concern right up to our holiday date. Insurance is not the answer, fair cancellation terms are.

Pixie Cottage is a very old fisherman’s cottage and was built when people were shorter than now.

I’m 5’ 9” or 1m 75cm for those that think that way. I managed to go a whole week without banging my head on the staircase, only doing so on the last morning. For anyone taller I would just say heed the warnings or you’ll collect a good few bruises. Also, you will have to crouch when using the shower as there was barely an inch or so of clearance between my head and the ceiling. Other than that the cottage is great, superbly equipped and only a short walk from the centre of Looe. However, that walk is relatively steep, especially if you opt to turn left and take the short route. You have to bear in mind that we hail from Cambridgeshire where it is relatively flat. I would say that if you have mobility issues I could not recommend staying here but if you are generally fit I would have no reservations whatsoever in saying it’s a great place to stay.

Wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage.

Beautifully clean and amazing views. Lovely neighbours and lovely people in the whole street. We wish we could live there. We can't wait to return.

Excellent location, superbly clean, everything supplied that you could need including cream tea on arrival!

Very attractive and comfortable cottage.

The use of the limited space is excellent and make the cottage feel much bigger. However, the really fantastic feature is the view - one of the best we have ever experienced. Really great meal at The Sardine Factory and a wonderful fishmonger too. Welcome cream tea also excellent.

All round a great stay.

Pixie Cottage is finished to a really high standard.

It felt like home and not a holiday cottage (except it's size of course :) ). It's a great location, so close to everything, and providing parking in the nearby car park made a difference to us choosing the house to stay in. Next door were super helpful too, nice to have them on hand for local tips and advice. Would recommend to friends in the future.

We had a wonderful time at Pixie Cottage, was not our first stay and certainly won't be our last.

Great walks nearby and very close to Looe shops and its attractions. Happily go again.

We had a great stay , the cottage was beautiful and very comfortable.

Bridget and Grant were very helpful and welcoming ! Looe is lovely and would highly recommend a visit! The parking was a concern but was actually so easy and really only five minutes walk , having a set space made it stress free!

Loved Looe as it was full of hustle and bustle and loved the bars, the weather made it so enjoyable .. the cottage was extremely clean and comfortable .. would love to come back and stay again :-) thank you

The cottage was very quaint and full of character, in a perfect location for walking to the village or along the coast to Polperro.

It was spotlessly clean and the welcome package of a cream tea was a nice touch. A washing machine would have been useful but realise space is at a premium. Had a great stay.

Stunning little cottage beautifully presented and equipped.

Everything has been thought of to make an easy and enjoyable stay.

An amazing property with stunning views, a comfortable bed, clean environment and a great place to explore the surrounding areas.

If you have a ukulele there is a great local ukulele group that meet on Thursday evenings. Will definitely be going back.

Fabulous view & ideal location - close to everything but quiet too.

Cottage was very well equipped with quirky stairs - would definitely return. Lovely coastal walks.

Pixie Cottage is gorgeous!

A perfect place to stay, small but not cramped, comfortable, and full of character. The views from the first and second floor are spectacular. A great location, being close to the centre of town, and not an arduously steep walk uphill to get there

We loved staying at Pixie cottage.

The decor and everything provided was spot on. The views from the lounge & bedroom were wonderful. There’s plenty to do around Looe and surrounding areas. Our little dog loved it too.
