Great location with an easy walk to the beach and ao lovely having the big garden for children to run around!
Unfortunately the single beds were particularly uncomfortable, luckily we had a few blankets that we used to put under us. A few aspects we felt weren't particularly clean like in the kitchen and bathroom.
Our stay in Maer has been one of our best holidays, and this was partly due to the wonderful base of Beachcomber apartment.
The apartment is spacious, with separate lounge, a kitchen diner, and two bedrooms. The bathroom is snug but this was not a problem. Everything was new and clean. There is a communal garden which is great for energetic kids. The walk to the beach through a country lane took about 15-20 minutes and while it would have been nice to have been closer the walk helped keep us fit! There was also a walk through the Away Resort to the cliffs which was lovely to do on an evening. I would say the only two negatives was that there was a strange smell on arrival that lingered all week, a sort of fishy smell; and the two single beds had uncomfortable mattresses where the springs could be felt. Overall, though, it was a fabulous base, and I would highly recommend!
We had a brilliant week, perfect weather with lots of fun.
The location is perfect very close to small town beach and pubs. Amazing hosts communication wise. I have a few bad comments but I hope they can be taken on board because it really would increase the stars from us. You need a new sofa bed it is very uncomfortable for adults. More kitchen appliances such as a dish oven would be helpful. Also the fridge is not brilliant so it is hard to store food for whole week for 6 people. We also would have been grateful to have a small pint of milk on arrival and tea and coffee a basic greeting. As we arrived very late and after a 6 and half hour drive we could have don’t with a nice cup of tea. This was first time we arrived with no tea or coffee on arrival. Apart from that amazing accommodation and we would still recommend but prepare people with those comment’s.
