Manorcombe 19
Description
Tamar Valley Resort offers great value accommodation in a scenic haven in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The villa-style accommodation is well placed for guests looking to explore both Cornwall and Devon and has some fantastic local attractions nearby. Within a short drive is the National Trust property, Cotehele, a Tudor house and valley garden estate set above the River Tamar. A little further afield you can visit the glorious sandy beach at Whitsand Bay with dramatic scenery and sheer cliffs. Equally accessible are Bodmin Moor and Dartmoor National Park with undulating moorlands and a myriad of historic sites and monuments - a rambler's dream.
Nestled deep in the heart of the Tamar Valley Resort, are the Manorcombe Bungalows - a collection of single storey holiday cottages designed with simplicity and practicality in mind. A very short walk from your door brings you to the indoor and outdoor heated swimming pools, bar, shop and reception - ideal for families looking to relax on site. During the school holidays there is a busy programme of entertainment including quiz nights and karaoke plus sporting activities (seasonal, subject to availability, extra charges apply) including archery, rock climbing, canoeing and abseiling. Set back from the road, each property benefits from floor to ceiling windows showering the open plan living space with natural light.
Manorcombe 19 sits in the middle of a row of similar properties in well maintained grounds. The living and dining area makes a great social space for relaxing after a day on the beach or a coastal walk. Get together around the dining table for board games, breakfasts or a lazy lunch. The kitchen has all you need for storing, food preparation and cooking, and there is a good pub/restaurant within a short walk if you choose to dine out. The three bedrooms are comfortable, all with fitted wardrobes and the bathroom has an overhead shower, so the choice is yours; a leisurely soak or invigorating shower. At the front of the property is a patio area with table and chairs for alfresco dining and evening refreshments.

What guests are saying
We stayed for 2 weeks at no19 and it has been a lovely holiday.
The property is lovely inside it has all the appliances you could need and all the utensils possible. The addition of a washing machine and dishwasher made the stay so easy for us. There could possibly be a little fence around the outside as the property allows dogs but it wasn't an issue for our pups as they are very well behaved and listen to commands. Honicombe itself is a nice site it's quiet and peaceful which is why we like it there. The pool is basic but it serves the purpose. We love that there's a little sauna available. The jacuzzi bit could do with a little more warmth but overall we enjoy this site. The walks are lovely (as long as you are fully able bodied) the hills get the heart pumping and the lungs working but the scenery is amazing.
It was great and we enjoyed the stay.
The only thibk that we should improve on is the knives for cooking with. My partner is a chef and the knives are awful.
This was a very nice property to stay at.
Pros Comfy beds, great WiFi, washing machine, you get some free crisps, cookies. Lots to do there indoors/outdoor pool, games room, gym, pub would highly recommend. Cons I'd replace the dishwasher with a tumble drier. There is a stand to hang some clothes on however. I couldn't find a cheese grater either very small criticism Also the shower goes very hot regardless of the setting so have a look at the thermostat please Overall excellent place to stay
