The Shippon

This is a lovely cottage, small but neat, with generous facilities for the price.

The hosts were kind and accommodating, and the welcome package was a great start. It is one in a row of cottages, with the hosts on site, but felt like our own space from the start. The road to access it is narrow and winding, but is also quiet and not a farm track. We loved being surrounded by countryside. The nearest shops and pubs are a short drive away, but difficult to reach on foot.

We loved our stay at The Shippon, it was very well equipped & in a prime location for exploring Cornwall.

It’s located in a beautiful & peaceful setting & was very quiet. Cream tea on arrival was a nice touch & very welcome after our long journey

Listing said no pets but there were dogs in other properties and in general area.

Unfortunately one of our party has cainophobia. In the main visitors dogs were kept on a lead.

The owners went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough!!! And it was so beautiful. LOVED staying here!

Fantastic stay great hosts.

As little issue with one light that rectified that morning.

The Shippon was perfect in every way.

As soon as we had unpacked and made a cup of tea, we felt at home. The information book written by the owners was very comprehensive and useful. The gardens, the house and the conservatory were all beautifully kept. A lovely place to stay.. Pat and Alan Waterman

Great location,quiet and clean

Small but with all the facilities we needed

As always our cottage was clean, warm and welcoming.

The owners are friendly and helpful and supply a delicious cream tea upon arrival. This was our third stay at Trevosper Barn Cottages, that speaks for itself.

A bit off the beaten track.

However, that's part of the charm, but it's actually only just off the A30. This is a great location for exploring both the north and south coasts. A gorgeous setting with garden views over to Bodmin Moor. Everything was as described and the property felt fresh and was clean and tidy. Highly recommended!

The cottage was comfortable and well equiped and sited in a beautiful and well maintained farm environment.

Being so close to the A30 it was convenvient to travel to all areas but very quiet and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cottage.

The cottage was very comfortable and is a great base from which to explore both the North and South coast.

Upon arrival we received a warm welcome by the host.

The Shippon was very comfortable and had all that we required for a lovely holiday. It was set in a lovely garden with beautiful views of the countryside - a most enjoyable setting.

One of the best cottages we have stayed in would recommend this cottage for a great stay will be staying again great

Very nice cottage, owners lovely & very welcoming.

Would definitely stay again.

Lovely property and ideal location.

The cottage was very nice, well equipped and clean.

The location is good for visiting places in Cornwall and Devon. There is adequate parking and the pond and countryside around the property is nice.

Absolutely lovely location, well appointed cottage and superb garden and views.

Can’t fault in any way.

A lovely cosy cottage, within amazing gardens.

Very easy access to the A30 within a couple of minutes , makes sightseeing easy no where seems very far. Very welcome cream tea on arrival. Bed very comfortable. Kitchen well equippped. TV with free view and a DVD. we were 2 adults but the second bunk bedroom would be tight for space with 2 children as well. Not sure it is made clear in brochure but there is an open tread staircase.Bathroom also a bit tight for space. but we would happily go again, as 2 adults.

Great place to stay, very quiet and peaceful.

Had everything you needed and a very welcoming cream tea upon arrival.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Shippon.

It is set in a beautiful location and we were made to feel very welcome. We would certainly recommend anyone to stay here.

It was perfect for our holiday needs.

Great base with a beautiful garden as outside space. Will come back again very soon.

A great cottage very clean and with everything we needed to enjoy our holiday.

The owners we very friendly and helpful and the cottage is in beautiful surroundings. Would stay here again.

The cottage had every home comfort that we required during our stay.

The Host was friendly and welcoming although due to Covid, our contact was obviously limited. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will more than likely try to re-book as we have family in the area that we were visiting and a revisit will definitely be on the cards. Thank you!

Fantastic situation Felt very safe in current climate of Covid restrictions

Lovely, well maintained and presented property.

Owners live alongside, and were visible on site and very approachable. Lovely surprise was a cream tea on arrival, together with milk and some basic items as a starter. Property is ideally located for visiting South Devon/North Cornwall, being less than 2 minutes drive from the main A30. We will happily return.

Wonderful holiday fantastic location fabulous hosts would highly recommend and will return for future holidays.

Cottage was wonderful and just as advertised.

The entire place was absolutely spotless and our hosts so welcoming. Would definitely recommend

Very comfortable beds.

Very friendly owners. The shippon was very clean. Lovely part of Cornwall well in reach of all attractions. I would highly recommend the shippon. The owners left us clotted cream and jam tea cakes are on our arrival which was lovely.

Lovely clean cottage with fantastic views highly recommend.

One of the best hire cottages I have had the pleasure of staying in .

. spotlessly clean in amazing grounds and settings.. the perfect get away place I have had the pleasure of staying in ..BRILLIANT

A very nice cottage well located for eastern Cornwall and western Devon.

We had a wonderful holiday The cottage is just lovely with everything you need.

The garden is a child’s paradise and the views superb Ollie and Lurraine are fantastic hosts: nothing is too much trouble for them! The area is very interesting with plenty of activities for the children The only thing that was disappointing was the meal in The Elliott Arms,it was certainly quantity not quality. A great time was had by all of us so thank you Ollie and Lurraine

The owners made us feel very welcome and we loved the cream tea on our arrival.

Gorgeous view from the garden and the guest room was a lovely touch, with books, dvds and games to borrow. Location was good as only minutes from the A30. The owners had made a folder of information which included pubs/restaurants with menus and walks to do, which we found really helpful. We would both recommend this cottage and would be happy to revisit.

We had a fantastic holiday here, the shipon cottage was really comfortable, views were lovely.

We only met one of the owners Uli but he was very friendly and extremely helpful when needed .The directions to the cottage were spot on and travelling to anywhere was relatively easy. We had a meal at The Archers Arms nearby that was very good and very reasonably priced as well. All in all a fantastic holiday ,we will be back The Marshall's

The washing machine had worn out bearings extremely noisy kitchen implements were very poor mainly plastic.

knives very blunt potatoes peeler out of the arc had to buy our own.sofas in living area were very tired and need re springing.the access to the property was extremely narrow lane and one had to back up if you met another vehicle.the hot water tank was very noisy just in a cupboard off the bedroom and it would wake you when heating.in general the property badly needs a make over and for £500 a week it doesn't come near what it should be

Great base for visiting National Trust properies, the coast, and other intersting attractions.

Owners of the property were helpful and informative.

We loved it so much that we will definitely be going back!

The location of the cottage were beautiful, the garden and scenery of the nearby valleys were the definite highlight.

The garden pond with the fish were spectacular. The hosts were very kind and helpful. The cottage was cosy. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and ideal for young families such as ours.

Great property and great owners

The Shippon is an amazing little cottage, with welcoming owners and a cream tea on arrival.

You don’t have to travel too far to get anywhere, beautiful views and great use of facilities. Highly recommend and I hope to go back one day.

It wasn't a HOLIDAY IT WAS BUSINESS.

It was more than adequate for my needs, nice quiet location, facilities were more than acceptable. The Cornish cream tea upon arrival was an unexpected and very welcome touch..... well done.

We absolutely loved staying here.

We have 2 young children (under the age of 4) and we found the cottage had everything we needed. It was very cosy and the views were beautiful. The owners had left lots if Easter treats hidden around the cottage which my toddler absolutely loved! Will definetly be coming here again to stay some time in the future.

absolutely loved this cottage, amazing location.

arrived at the cottage with homemade scones which were lovely, the cottage has a very home feel to it. very clean and fresh. will be visiting here again in the future. all facilities you need fridge/ freezer, washing machine/dryer. couldn't fault the shippon :)

Comfortable cottage in a good location for us

The accommodation was as stated, the owners had left us a cream tea very nice!

!

Wow!

What a fabulous holiday. The owners were so friendly and a godsend when we had car trouble. Owner even came out and picked me and my 3 children up and gave us a lift back to the cottage. The cottage was very cosy and quaint had everything we needed and more. My eldest 2 loved the pond and outdoor space. Only one.thing I missed was a fan in the bedroom got quite hot up there with my baby other than that perfect accomodation. Thank you both so much.

The Garden, sun room/conservatory and paved sitting out area with panoramic rural views are superb and the large fish pond with it's Koi fish and wildlife really compliments the accommodation.

A great place to relax and perhaps drink a "sundowner" after a day touring. The owners Ulli and Lauraine were very welcoming and catered for our every requirement. The access lane is a single track with passing places but generally devoid of traffics during our stay. As a base for touring it has excellent road communications in all directions. There is a good choice of places to eat nearby

A perfect property, best we have booked.

Facilities, property and location exceeded our expectations and added to a fantastic and much needed relaxing holiday. Thank you to Lorraine and Ulli.

Cream tea, an Easter egg for each of our party and a very friendly and helpful Ulli welcomed us to the Shippon - indeed the nicest welcome we've ever had!

The cottage offered all we needed and was perfectly situated for all the trips we had planned: the Cornish Coast and the moors. We hope to return some day.

Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, other guests also very friendly to travellers from Australia.

Nice place, all equipments convenient, warm welcome.
