“Absolutely beautiful accommodation.”

You are not left wanting for anything. Hosts Tracy and Geoff are always on hand should you need anything. Lovely welcome pack for the three of us and even a doggy pack for our dogs. Clean, tidy, bbq (got used quite a few times), fishing lake full of fish, honesty bar in summerhouse always well stocked. Great location for Looe and Polpero which are both a short drive away. We will use it again. Highly recommend.

“Excellent cottage, excellent location and a wonderful host Tracey who couldn’t do enough for you to make your stay enjoyable.”

I can’t express how lovely she is. Our dog loved the secluded field that he could run around in. We certainly will visit again, hopefully later on in the year. The only negative is the steps up to the front door as my husband suffers with knee problems, having said that it hasn’t put us off going again, you just have to pace yourself!!!!

“We had a great week at the lovely Owl cottage.”

The cottage has everything you need for a fantastic time and is clean and well maintained. There is a field where we could let the dogs run and play also a lake which I'm sure would be beautiful to enjoy in the summer. The location is great as you're far enough from the hustle and bustle of Looe and Polperro but close enough to pop into them. Tracy is a fantastic host she contacted us before we arrived so that she could greet us with lots of information about the area, she also made sure that we knew that if we needed anything we could drop her a text.There was a fantastic hamper waiting for us with homemade bread, scones, jam and cream. Tracy also dropped us some lovely shortbread that she had made during the week. Overall it is a lovely cottage with a fantastic host and we look forward to visiting again soon.

“Our stay at Owl Cottage started with a warm welcome from the owners, who also left a superb welcome basket including home baked bread, scones, jam, clotted cream, milk, coffee, tea, cider, beer, sugar.”

The cottage was clean and tidy, well fitted out in lovely tranquil surroundings with a well looked after lake which you could fish free of charge. Tracy was such a lovely person, who was very helpful. We would reccomend this 100% for a great stay. Mick, Fran and John.

“It was so good to be back at Ashen Cross and what a fabulous week we've had".”

The glorious weather was a bonus. Beautiful touches from Tracy who as always thinks of everything. We visited several National Trust properties during our stay. It's great that most of them now allow dogs in the formal gardens. Highly recommend the Plantation Tearooms in Polperro which is less than an hours walk down the lanes. Thank you again. See you soon.

Owl Cottage and Court Cottage are a wonderful pairing of holiday homes in the small hamlet of Ashen Cross, Cornwall. Originally a grain store, Owl Cottage is a lovely two-bed and Court Cottage is a romantic one-bed located in a secluded spot offering easy access to nearby Looe and Polperro.
