Albany

This was a return visit to Albany and again, it exceeded the expectations of a multi-generational family in every possible way.

It was super clean, and perfectly located to allow us to leave the car parked up whilst we focus on exploring Looe and its many nearby eateries. It's within easy walking distance of several great dog friendly pubs, restaurants and a host of independent retailers in the centre of Looe along with a well stocked Spar and a couple of Co-Ops. The house itself is much bigger than it looks, is very well equipped and has everything you could want including every kitchen appilance and utensil you could ever need. The owners are great communicators and kindly set up 4 bedrooms as superkings for us as requested. If you need to work, the wi-fi is easily strong enough for video conferencing throughout the house and there is a great study with a large monitor to hook a laptop up to. Albany was faultless in every way and we definitely be back.

We’ve had a wonderful week at Albany.

It’s a very comfortable house with all the mod cons which make it comfortable for guests and a home away from home. We loved the sitting room with a view and sitting on the terrace overlooking the harbour. Looe is a lovely little town with lots of old pubs, coffee shops, bakeries and independent shops. Thank you for a helping us to have lovely holiday.

This property was ideal for our family we really enjoyed our stay upon arrival we found everything as promised by the owners who gave excellent information concerning the property many thanks the property manager quickly attended a small problem with the downstairs shower which worked perfectly afterwards so we would try and book again if we wanted to stay in Looe

Beautiful house in a lovely location, owners were very communicative and helpful.

I would definitely recommend staying at Albany to anyone who visits Looe - the location is great and only a few minutes walk to the foot ferry which takes you across to east looe. Parking in the big car park was easy, it’s a 10 minute walk. The views from the house are amazing and the beds were so incredibly comfortable!

We had a lovely stay at Albany.

Fantastic house which fitted two families comfortably. We utalised the spare fishing nets and buckets - great addition for families....and good for the environment to reduce those being bought and chucked after a couple of crabbing sessions by inlanders like ourselves. Successful crabbing too which is always a winner! My friends children are a bit younger than ours so they had the first floor as a family, we had the second floor with our teenage sons. Toilet and shower per floor was ideal.....with an additional toilet and shower outside for when the others are busy, which with teenagers was a god send.....as was the additional fridge! Good location; easy walk into the main part of Looe. I liked the property being raised slightly - there was a lovely seating area on the terrace where I could enjoy a cup of tea, reading my book, watching the fishing boats starting and finishing their days, before the house stirred each morning....in the evening my best friend and I would have a glass of fizz there too, catching up, watching the world go by. We had a Sainsbury's shop which was no problem.....they parked in the small spaces at the base and then we walked it up like the Von Traps. Parking wasn't an issue, our friends took advantage of the reserved space and my husband got a spot on the road not far from the house. We had planned to use the cars but found Looe offered plenty for a 5 day break so didn't use the cars in the end. Albany round up; Would definitely return to Albany again. The adults appreciated the homely, comfortable feel where everything you needed was there.....the children loved the X Box with its vast selection of games

We had a fantastic week at Albany with our extended family.

There were 8 of us spread over the 5 bedrooms and the property suited us so well. The views from the property are fantastic and you are well situated for exploring Looe with only a ten min walk into town or a 2 minute trip on the foot ferry. The property is well kitted out throughout and is decorated to a high standard. Our nephew and niece loved playing with the x-box which was a nice extra touch! Staying here felt like a real treat! We will definitely be back!

Albany is a wonderful property with a fantastic outlook from each floor.

It is comfortable and clean with everything you would need. The views are fascinating at any time of day or night, and constantly changing with the tide. The location allows easy access to a good range of restaurants and takeaways by foot aswell as a little further away by car. Lots of fish landed in Looe. Lots to do locally and good boat /fishing trips available - 2 weeks would not be enough. It is south coast so we didn’t get any surf at the height of summer although Whitsands can be good for bodyboarding. A range of north coast beaches are within an hour and a quarter. As in the description, access is via a steep slope and parking is 1/2 mile away. We were able to pull up outside for unloading, loading, dropping off in the evening and picking up without any problem. Great holiday - we will be back

Absolutely fabulous stay in a beautifully recently refurbished house, everything was top notch with lots of ingenious touches .

The views were excellent, and apart from wishing for wall to wall sunshine we could not have asked for more!

We have just enjoyed a really lovely week in Looe.

Albany is of a high standard and has all the home comforts we needed including a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, two high powered showers for when you come off the beach, and super views across Looe. We were on holiday with all the family and our elderly parents and children managed the slope to the property fine due to the handrail and with a flat walk or £1 ferry across to the shops, restaurants and beach we were able to go out and enjoy Looe every day. The hosts couldn’t have been more accommodating and helpful thankyou so much we would definitely stay again.
