Atlantic Reach

I thought the property was absolutely fabulous.

There was only one thing and that was the decking outside the lounge.I tried cleaning it with wet wipes but after half an hour of wiping it the wipes were still bringing of dirt.So it really does need a thorough clean.But apart from that the accommodation was first class and it was a pleasure to stop there,thankyou. It was very spacious, well equipped, nicely presented and spotlessly clean. The location was great too!

An impressive house, comfortable and welcoming.

Would definitely recommend and revisit. Small point. We were advised there was a cream tea to collect for our delectation. Thrilled!! However we didn't realise that the shop where you collect shuts at 2pm and shut on Sundays so no good given access to the house isn't until 4pm. By the time we remembered to collect it the scones were a week old as its not clear they're delivered on a Saturday rather than made fresh for when you get to the shop. In other words Monday is the earliest they can be collected which makes them already 3 days old. Pity!! Could they not be left on the kitchen table??

Second time we have stayed here.

Another 40th birthday and ths time with a Mad Hatter Tea Party theme - amused drivers when we walked down the beach. House again was wonderful. (Didn't know the oven switch also powered the main oven but soon sorted. So close to the beach great benefit. Thank you.

We had an amazing seven day family holiday at this lovely property.

With the beach just footsteps away. You couldn’t ask for anything more. Walking onto the decking area in the mornings you had an amazing views of the bay and the waves crashing onto the beach. The property was as beautiful as the views with everything that made it seem like home. We had no issues with feeling comfortable and relaxed after a day out exploring this beautiful part of Devon. Thank you for the memories we made staying at Atlantic Reach.

A very comfortable and excellently equipped holiday home.

We celebrated a Golden wedding anniversary and a 10 th birthday with our family. The youngsters loved the games room , and others in the group enjoyed the comfy loungers outside with the beautiful sea view. The outdoor shower and changing room were very welcome after an exciting time bodyboarding on the beach , which was only a very short walk away. I can definitely recommend this lovely house for a family holiday.

We were very disappointed that we didn’t get a mid stay clean.

Staying for 12 nights we at least expected a change of bedding and towels! There was no fire wood available as stated there would be. Overall the property was very nice but let down by the poor management.

Very spacious property & very well equipped.

We had 10 guests, but everyone had their own space. A delightful property.

Atlantic Reach is a great property for a large party.

We have stayed here before but before the additional rooms were added. This upgrade was a welcome touch. The new wrap around decking and the additional sitting room was great. The house itself has everything you need and was spotlessly clean. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out and the kitchen is large enough for everyone to help with meals. The awesome Widemouth beach is only 5 minutes walk away which is a big plus. Carvery on Sunday and Thursday at the nearby Widemouth Manor is well worth a trip. I highly recommend Atlantic Reach for a relaxing family getaway. We will definitely be returning.

What an amazing home!

We could have literally stayed & not left! Wow! Kitchen is very well equipped for large families like ourselves staying. The views to the sea are beautiful! The beds…sooo comfortable! Thank you so much! Cannot wait to come back!

The family thought the property and facilities were excellent and thoughly enjoyed our stay.

The short distance to the local beeches was also very welcome as we had three children with us.A very small problem which could have been improved is that the downstairs toilet mirror in the double bedroom was very small and had no adjacent socket for a electric shaver.Neverthess we would still vote the property as one not to miss.

Stunning house to stay in.

Perfect for 3 generations and 2 dogs. Can’t fault the house or facilities at all.

Excellent venue, clean and well equipped.

Good for larger groups.

Very nice accommodation just a shame we had 5 men replacing a roof and cutting tiles all week.

Obviously no fault to the owner, just meant we could not sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and views we had.

The house was perfect for us 5 adults 2 children +dog.

Beautifully clean and comfortable with everything we could need. We enjoyed the welcome pack. The decking with great views was a lovely place to sit and the location close to the beach was so good. Would love to come again.

2nd time we have stayed at Atlantic Reach.

Springtime and Christmas. Both excellent. A wonderful property to have a family get together . Facilities are fabulous and everything has been thought of. A personal preference would be a standard microwave although I appreciate what you have is multi functional and in keeping with the super kitchen.

Wonderful

This is a Beautiful property it was our second visit Lovely sea view very relaxing to be outside on the decking and sun loungers, be it with a nice coffee in the morning or glass of something later in the day.

l have some disabilities so to have the bedroom and onsuite downstairs is a big + for me. I came home and have already booked a week next year. Quite hard to find downstairs bedroom and onsuite. This property has much to offer. However I wish there was a step from the garden onto the decking to help anyone who may struggle with the step up. Look forward to our future visit

Lovely property.

Every facility needed for a group ranging from 4 years to 65 years. Outdoor shower was great. Plenty of mugs, cutlery, plates etc. Widemouth Bay and the people in the pub, shop, cafe all helpful and friendly.

In every way this holiday was superb.

The only issue in the whole time was an incorrect key code number. Fortunately the weather was fine and soon resolved with a phone call. We hope to stay again in the future. We would thoroughly reccomend this venue for a holiday. Many thanks.

Superb accommodation with everything needed for a big family holiday.

All excellent quality equipment and furnishings. We had a couple of little people with us in the upstairs twin room and one of them almost tipped the chest of drawers over so maybe consider a safety fastener to the wall. But we would still highly recommend this property and will definitely stay again.

The house is superbly positioned, comfortable and very well equipped. We’ll be back.

One of the beds in the twin room next to the kitchen was awful- could feel all the springs in the mattress.

Also one of the beds upstairs was unstable and squeaked loudly every time my daughter moved. The kettle was rusty. Everything else about the house was great but comfortable beds is incredibly important!

An amazing property with a brilliant view over the bay.

Fabulous sunsets, altogether a very relaxing week. It was such a shame that the owners tried to get us to pay for damages to the property which were clearly normal wear and tear from the holiday season. This has completely ruined our lovely memories of Atlantic Reach and now unfortunately we wouldn't recommend anyone to the property for fear they will go through the same upset returning home.

Spacious, clean and with everything we needed.

We used the property as a base while walking the South West Coastal Path, it was very easy to get to the A39 to travel up and down the coast to the various pick-up points. The outside shower room was really useful, as was the bottle fridge! A great house in a wonderful location.

Our family stayed for 2 weeks in August.

This is a lovely house and ideal for the beach. It is heavily booked so bag it if you have the opportunity.

Amazing property.

Clean, modern, comfortable. It's spacious and well equipped, just perfect for a family holiday and the beach is 2 minutes walk! The sunsets were incredible to see from an evenings stroll along the beach. Loved it.

A fabulous property in a great location, with top notch facilities and an impeccable level of detail.

Really comfortable, with everything that made our stay really special. We loved the outdoor space and barbecue area and new shower is amazing. The perfect place for our 40th Wedding Anniversary celebrations for the whole family, aged from 18 months to 63 years old!

Absolutely loved this house.

It was large, clean and very comfortable. Very well equipped and there’s nothing more we could have asked for. The location is great so close to the beach and just 5 mins in the car to Bude. We would definitely love to return.

I have booked for 2 weeks next Xmas from the 23rd. Only thing missing is a hot tub

For the amount of occupants that the house can hold, a bigger fridge is a must, items struggled to keep cold.

Atlantic Reach Was (is)a beautiful property so well equipped.

We had a a wonderful family holiday. We love Cornwall and have stayed in many different areas. The house and its location was the best yet. My only qualm about the property (being a little disabled) it would have been nice to have a step at some place up to the Beautiful decking. As the step up was a struggle for me and I had to pull myself up holding on the fence. Would love to go back though. *****.

This is a fantastic property in a great location.

With 6 adults and 4 young boys the washing machine and dishwasher were in daily use. A good sized garden for the kids to run around in, good neighbours. The newly built outside shower room was also a boon. Widemouth bay is a great jump off point for The Lost Gardens of Heligan and National Trust properties. We also visited Bude pool, a man made pool filled every day by the sea. Only one observation, the back gate to the property is not child proof, our 2 year old grandson took 2 minutes to work out how to open the latch.

Exceptional place .

... immaculately clean and the perfect base . The welcome pack was a lovely and thoughtful touch ... the owners have really put a great deal of effort in to making sure you have the best stay - lots of wonderful details .. Even great to stay in on rather a few rainy days . Extremely well equipped and fuss free with a little one .

The family holiday we had was fabulous.

Atlantic Reach was exactly as it said, clean, comfortable with easy access to the beach. We were restricted to what we could do as in visiting local places due to COVID:19, but apart from that we had a restful holiday and the weather, for once, was glorious.

A very well appointed house, which had been described and depicted accurately on the website.

There was room for everyone to be comfortable and secure. The CoVid-19 restrictions meant that our time there was a little shorter, with fewer soft furnishings ( eg cushions and throws). The brochure was sent to us electronically which was very helpful, but there were no takeaway menus to peruse etc. Because of the nature of our party, we stayed in for the most part, and the house absorbed us all with no bother. The view from the enclosed garden was lovely. A super house which we agreed was one of the best we had stayed in- I would love to return, post-pandemic .
