Dylan Thomas once described the village as the ‘loveliest in England’, and it is easy to see why. The stone harbour and buildings retain much of their old-world charm. If you are looking for a traditional getaway in Cornwall, browse our range of Mousehole cottages.
Why a Mousehole cottage?
Mousehole is a tiny fishing village in West Cornwall, just 3 miles from Penzance. A hundred years ago, it was a bustling port crowded with local fishing boats and landing pilchards. Now it is a quaint village, with narrow streets and cottages made from the local Lamorna granite huddled around the harbour. There are several arts and crafts shops as well as cafes, pubs, restaurants, a Post Office, Church, gift shops and galleries.
Take a seat on the harbour wall and enjoy the sight of colourful boats bobbing with the ebb and flow of the tide. Mousehole Harbour Beach appears at low tide and makes a great spot for relaxing in the afternoon sun.
