Why a Truro cottage?
The city has a fascinating history. Truro was an important port and tin mining centre in Cornwall and featured heavily within the BBC's drama series Poldark, though none of the filming was in Truro itself. You can still find many fine Georgian style houses along Lemon Street, at the top of which is the Lander Memorial, erected to commemorate the local Lander brothers, who discovered the source of the Nile.
