The property

For those who love to be beside the sea, Penlee Narrows is perfectly positioned.

A delightful four storey terraced cottage, 150 yards up from the beach in the centre of the Cornish village of Kingsand.

A stable door leads into the ground floor dining room, a gathering place for family meal times.

The cottage kitchen to the rear with exposed stone walls is well equipped.

On the first floor, there is a twin room and pretty family bathroom.

A further staircase leads to the second floor and king-size double room and compact sitting room with magnificent views out across the bay.

The room offers comfortable seating for a maximum of 5 and is warmed by a wood burning stove.

Stairs from the ground floor lead down to a lower ground floor to a double bedroom and utility room with WC and basin.

Whilst there is no private outside space, just 50yds away you will find the coastal footpath with many areas to sit and relax outside whilst enjoying the magnificent sea views.

Across the square from the cottage there is a great pub who will even deliver meals and snacks to your doorstep.

Kingsand/Cawsands sit within an area of natural outstanding beauty, its secluded beaches and spectacular scenery a draw for many visitors and artists.

The coastal path runs right through the village and winds its way through the 800 acre Mount Edgecombe Park.

Enjoy a day out in the maritime city of Plymouth where in the summertime it is possible to take the ferry from Cawsands beach to Plymouth Hoe.

About the location

Plymouth 24 miles.

The twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand, with narrow streets winding between pastel-coloured cottages, lie on the Rame Peninsula just 5 miles from Plymouth, but because the high ground of Mount Edgcumbe lies between, you are not aware of being near a large city. Instead, you can relax in the peace and quiet of village life, and look out over Plymouth Sound which offers calm waters ideal for watersports, fishing and bathing. Take a walk south along the coastal path to Penlee Point for the glorious views of Rame Head, towering above the sea, or, a walk north along the coast will take you to Mount Edgcumbe Park with fabulous views of Plymouth Sound. From Cawsand, take a ferry trip to Plymouth and visit the Aquarium, the historic Barbican or enjoy a spot of retail therapy. Just a mile west of Kingsand lies Whitsand Bay, with 4 miles of sandy beach and dramatic cliffs. You really are spoilt for choice in this ‘secret hideaway’.

Note: Unsuitable for children under 5 years. Note: Babes in arms accepeted. Note:Comfortable seating for max of 5 in sitting room.
