Affording an elevated position overlooking Falmouth coast is this traditional, mid-terrace cottage, Jasmine Cottage.

Affording stunning sea views whilst being within walking distance of the town’s amenities, Jasmine Cottage is a splendid holiday base for families and friends seeking a break to Cornwall.

Jasmine Cottage is on the little row of five listed Georgian houses which was built by a sea captain for his five daughters.

After finding roadside parking, follow a private path leading to a quaint row of cottages.

Step inside and the laminate flooring will guide you to the living/dining room, where you can perch on the sofa and admire the stunning vistas whilst the woodburner gently heats the space.

Move through to the kitchen and get to work on a hearty dish, assisted with a range of appliances, plus there’s even a handy dishwasher for cleaning up!

Spend the rest of the evening from the front courtyard, complete with furniture set so you can sit back and gaze out to sea whilst enjoying a tipple.

Move the bedrooms, located upstairs, which offer a kingsize, twin and single setup.

A gleaming shower room completes the interior.

Just paces away lies an excellent pub, The Boathouse, where you can sample fresh seafood and a selection of ales.

Find a convenience store nearby and stock up on the essentials or visit The Chintz Bar for a gin and tonic.

Wander along the harbour and explore the Discovery Quay with its selection of eateries and independent shops or take an adventure on the Carrick Roads stretch of water and explore the towns and villages that hug the coastline.

If the weather’s on your side, head over to the family-friendly Maenporth and Swanpool, just a short drive or leisurely walk away, where you can relax on the beach and paddle in the shores.

Penryn is within two miles and boasts a selection of waterfront restaurants as well as the Penryn Museum and the infamous Verdant Brewing Company.

City life can be sample in Truro, home to a stunning cathedral and the Royal Cornwall Musuem, reached in ten miles.

Escape normality for a little while and make Jasmine Cottage your next Cornish abode.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbour-side pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry VIII, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).
