We had a great stay, comfortable And the house had everything we needed, it is very well equipped. We read some reviews before our visit that said it was cold, we were there during Winter and in storms and didn’t find it cold. There are a few things things to point out which hopefully the owners can address. It is damp in one bedroom under the garage, there is a dehumidifier and it collected a lot of water which solved the problem, but as the house had been empty for a while before our visit when we arrived it felt damp and musty on arrival. The house really needs a good clean, although work tops and bathroom fittings were clean, walls, doors, skirtings etc were not and didn’t look like they have been cleaned for a long time. I’m not an obsessive cleaner but for the price would expect a clean property. One of the bathrooms hasn’t been finished, the fittings are lovely but door and woodwork hasn’t been painted and is scuffed and dirty, just a small thing but noticeable against a lovely fitted bathroom. Don’t let the above put you off, I’m just noting so the owners can address, we had a brilliant time and enjoyed our stay

The property

This charming cottage is close to the distinctive twin harbour that provides a haven for the many fishing boats as they land their daily catch.

There are also two free attractions on the harbour, the local museum and the aquarium, both worth visiting.

Steeped in beauty, the Lost Gardens of Heligan is positioned at the back of the village, and retains its title for being the most visited garden in Britain.
